It was fuckin ace! :D
I loved the internal monologue of "R" and the actual concept of it (as I also loved the concept of being a "formally zombie now cured" of that beebeesee mini-series "In The Flesh").

Skeletons

This is a fucking brilliant:
Bennett and Davis are psychic exorcists, travelling the country and using supernatural means to get inside people, help unburden them of the skeletons in their closet and find their darkest secrets. It's a dirty job, with strict protocols and not much time for friendships. When they are sent on a difficult mission to try and find a woman's missing husband, presumed dead, they can find no trace of his memory in the house. They realise this job is more complilcated than they'd imagined, in all sorts of ways.

Movie News: The Hollywood studio behind Eddie Murphy’s latest film has confirmed it will skip cinemas, blu-ray and on-demand, and instead be released directly into a giant landfill.

I've watched this about 5 or 6 times since it's been on iplayer to make sense of this film, and with a bit of reading and thinking, I now know how amazing this film is (but could you expect less from Nicolas Winding Refn?) ;)

Valhalla Rising

I loved it even before I knew of the interwoven messages and saw the "full picture" of the story, but man it's a fantastic film.
Definitely goes on my top 10 favourite films :)

yes it's absofuckinglutely amazing isn't it monsta? so atmospheric and barbaric and above all Scottish and Viking (I have viking and scots blood as well as lincoln pig farmer ;) )

not that I care much for blood but when it means I get to pretend I'm in a refn flick I'll milk it for all it's worth :D

Nobody lives :D Nice horror - yeah its all been seen before but worth a watch.

Splatter / gore movie - Hatchet 3

Man of Steel - Feels like superman as it should have been.

Thanks Bear, added to my list.

I watched Lords of Salem last night, nothing spectacular but enjoyable nevertheless.

Also that Death 2000 was a top flick, shocked I've never seen it before as classic sci-fi is my "thing".

Kewl. Saw that in iPlayer and looked kindasorta decent but recommendation from you and the boy Knock combined with knowledge that it was Mr Refn wot dun it means I'll give that a watch then.

It really deserves to be watched on a fuck-off plasma in hi-def, but I don't think you've got a fuck-off plasma :(

The Expendables 2. i thought it was gonna be shite for some reason, if i recall the first one didnt seem that good, but really enjoyed this

It's mesmerising ay :)
It's a love-or-hate flick but, if you love it you really love it and you appreciate every single frame of film.
If you hate it, you'll think it's slow and will end up being a philistine for not appreciating brilliant film making! =D

Really hope you like it Shammy :)
The after-seen reading and thinking unveiled the most subtle but the most poignant underlying messages and ideas!
The fact that One-Eye is more Christian - almost by accident - and infact the fact that he's akin Jesus sacrificed himself to protect the purity and innocence that's represented by the young slave-boy!
He even went into water claimed to be holy which is practically a pointer to christening too.
I don't even think Refn intended this but it shined out to me after though!
