Its raising money for charities. Every few weeks they do a different campaign for different charities and I'll be following up people who said they'll donate or taking calls from people who want to donate.

How did it go, young un? ;)

R&D / Production scientist for a biotech company in north London - I'd prefer not to name names!! :D

Suffice to say I wont be posting here during work hours they're really anal about net misuse - one of those companies that bans facebook - so I need to keep it clean!!

Its good. Piss easy

Really laid back office, no dress code and no crap like asking to go to the toilet or to make some tea/coffee/fag break, as I've heard a lot of call centres are like.

Its also good that its for charities because you don't get any abuse and you're normally dealing with kind people. Was surprised to see that the unemployed are the second biggest givers after the aged.

Downside is the shifts.. 1pm to 9pm (you can do half shifts; 1 to 4:45 and 5:15 to 9) are annoying.. can't really do anything in the morning and its rather a late time to get back. But if you prove yourself, you get promoted to doing cold calling work which is harder, but you also get commission. The people that are good at it take home an extra £200-300 a week on top of their normal pay lol. Its also 9 to 5.

Seeing as you don't take drugs or have any interest in them it's just a waste of server space..

Since when was EADD about drugs? 8)

28ish out of the 40 or so topics on the first page are non drug related at this point in time. ;)

I'm still unemployed. I now have a kick arse CV and cover letter written up and will be applying for jobs over the next few weeks.

If no event type job comes up then I'm taking something else to get some cash together for Xmas and get saving for my summer travels.

well, i'm sure the ability to provide empirical data on demand without having to bring in external guinea pigs will count massively in your favour. so go mad! umm... i mean, break a leg! :D

Bit of life experience, 21k starting, 24k after training.

Shame my local constabulary isn't recruiting.. I would only do it for 2 years and drop out to go to uni

Cold calling is a bitch. How do they work out comms on charity work?

And why the fuck would you want to be a cop??????

Your seeing a Psychiatrist??

I really must try to write full sentences. OTOH the semi conscious amongst us would probably guess that interview in a job thread means a job interview.

Although i have been considering participating in paid research too :\

Cheers Felix and B9.
