EADD Heroin thread v.XXV -- a quarter centuary of threads if not yet a full decade since the 'drought'...

Methadone does have a long half life indeed. I was on a two day C bender so any Phy (septone) in my system was erased by that. I only took 5/6 lines of a tac a slip. I despise h and it's insidious ways. Was offer a crank with it today I have ropes for veins. Not worth it unless coke in the gizmo too.
Oh the days of rope veins….18 m of speedballs put paid to that

Maybe the worst part of opioid withdrawal for me is that not only are you going through hell physically and mentally but time slows down to this absolutely fucking unbareable crawl.
Normally, I can be reading, or binging a show, or playing on my switch or whatever and 2 or 3 hours can pass and I barely notice, but in withdrawal I can TRY things like that, but when I feel like a long time has passed I'll check the clock and it's been like 6 minutes.

feel mostly normal again, but then REALLY need to go and...yeah, a lot of diarrhoea.

"50 to 100 mcg IV/IM every 1 to 2 hours as needed; alternately 0.5 to 1.5 mcg/kg/hour IV as needed."

And this is what The NHS say is a Fent dose for pain.
I was saying to another BL member the time I had 250mcg I.V. & the Nurses were shocked my head was still up after I had that dose plus a Oral Morphine chaser with it.

Skag Boy couldn't get any more Fent despite how much he said how much pain he was in, I understand why the Nurses on the Ward figured out why I wasn't banged out asleep.

lol
I feel like the NHS always dose low and it's getting worse. 50mcg of Fent is the same as 5mg Morphine. That wouldn't do shit for anyone with even a mild tolerance,

I had a similar issue going for a colonoscopy. They gave me the standard dose of IV Midazolam (can't remember what that was) and...nothing...so she gave me another dose of the same amount) and I legit had to ask if she was SURE it was Midazolam and not, like, saline 'cause I felt NOTHING.
She said she could tell that I wasn't at all sedated but most people would be unconscious and she couldn't give me more in case of OD. So they couldn't do the procedure. Had to rearrange and they decided to use the max., dose of Midazolam + add Fentanyl.
Weird thing is I had been sober for MONTHS at the time. No benzos, no barbiturated, no alcohol, no GBL/GHB...

I remember having a flare up of Acute Pancreatitis (which is in the top 10 most painful conditions a person can experience, coming above things like childbirth, contorted testicle and kidney stones) and they offered me...co-codamol 15/500s. I was no..."No. We're not doing that. It's Morphine or I'm leaving...also you could PHYSICALLY FEEL my stiff abdomin and swollen pancreas and you tested my blood and confirmed the diagnosis via increased amylase levels, so you KNOW I'm not faking." They were still like "Well, try this first and then maybe we can try Tramadol". Thank God my mum was there and gave them hell until the doctor prescribed 10mg IV Morphine.

My mate had access to this after his Mom died of Brain Cancer, he loved it via I.V.
HE quit using Heroin in favour of that stuff, he would shoot it mixed with Crack, roll his head back & say "Oh My God" then go silent for a while.

FFS, it'a a total piss taking joke mate, fuck them I say.
When my mate had some bizarre Spinal Bacteria infection they gave him some medicine to treat the diease, what they didn't tewll him was it cut his Methadone length in half, he would be dopesick & I mean full blown Methadone sick for 12 hours a day, he began having Heroin brought to the hospital doors at 9am each day & then go have a smoke in the disabled toilets.

A lot of addicts here go to Spain for opium season 1 can accumulate the kilogram of raw opium which apparently goes for 15K but it is quite hard to do an amount that much

The fields are patrolled by armed security guards but they are huge and the chances of bumping into them I hear are quite Slim also nearby fields which are not owned by bayer get pollinated after years of cropping and it seems you are free to harvest these fields

Also apparently Barcelona has white heroin as in heroin HCL which seems very very strange to me but having never tried this type of heroin I would like to.

I would also like to stock up on cheap morphine tablets in France I actually found an unopened bottle of a liter of acetic anhydrate being on the streets at the time I gave it to someone for safekeeping he knows not what it is so if I could locate him I could locate the bottle I imagine
Here in the USA all the heroin is mostly #4 (Hcl) as long as you know reliable sources. I’ve never had #3 (base). I used to get loads of MSIR morphine pills too and I would prep them for IV beautifully—-what a rush and the high actually lasts several hours unlike the trash street dope these days cut with fentanyl and/or nitazines smh…

If you scrape the coating off an OC you absolutely can smoke it off foil trust me. It hits instantly, far more euphoric than snorting. It doesn't run well you are right, the way to do it is break off enough for one dose and just smoke that until it's burnt up. But the smoke that comes off it does work and feels better than smoking #3.
Where the hell is anyone getting OC’s these days? It is strictly OP oxy only and you can’t break or crush them for shit. The only way to break the matrix is with a lot of effort and kitchen chemistry.

I've felt great from IV Midazolam in the past, no idea what went on that time. I DO wonder if maybe the nurse was a user and DID swipe it and give me saline or something. Or steal SOME of the dose :/
It's hard to find benzos you can IV. I spent ages trying to get it to work with diazepam, but you just end p with gunk on a spoon. I did discover it's somewhat soluble in Methadone. Obv I'd STRONGLY discourage anyone from IVing Methadone, though.

Yeah, besides the waiting times, the worst thing about the NHS is that if you aren't getting the pain meds you need or don't like how you're being treated but NEED medical help, you're kinda stuck with it.
Unless you can pay insane American prices for BUPA or whatever other private hospitals there are. I know when I was struggling badly-badly with alcohol, I rang around for detox-rehab places and the cheapest I was quoted was £4000 per week.

I remember one time I went to my methadone clinic and the nurse they had working the window had one of the other nurses supervising her which was strange but the look in her eyes it looked like she was on a half nod. When I asked her to double check my dose and show me the actual pills she got all defensive like I had put her on the spot in front of her supervisor. I never saw her there after that day. Also we got forced to get lock boxes which I just got some child's makeup box from the convient store because somebody had a party and some teens swiped the guy's methadone and somebody died. I don't know what the lock boxes are supposed to do, even my councilor thought it was lame. I'm freaking glad I got off that stuff.

I also had a colonoscopy not very long ago to remove a pre-cancerous polyp in my colon. They just gave me Entonox and I was absolutely fine on that. In fact I felt so relaxed, and on top of the world afterwards, perhaps because the procedure was so quick, easy, and painless. And I could watch it all on a big screen. I was greatly encouraged by how pink and healthy my colon looked, apart from the polyp! I guess everyone's is like that, until or unless something goes wrong.

I can only presume that your procedure must have been a lot more complicated and painful for you to have needed midazolam and fent. Maybe they just use Entonox for easy cases in the UK, and anything more invasive I guess they'd need to step things up. I'm not sure what country you're in, or if your procedure would have been more invasive.

It obvious we're all getting older on here, with many of us now starting to talk about medical conditions, procedures, and surgeries. It's all down hill from here :ROFLMAO: Although I obviously hope that all of us have as many healthy years remaining as possible. I was lucky to have got this polyp picked whilst being scanned for a different condition. If it hadn't been detected and removed, it would have turned cancerous and infected my colon within 7 years. And by that stage, it might well have been too late to do anything about it, other than the horrors of chemo-therapy etc. All of that has now been avoided from that particular polyp. I'm now trying to eat better, so that hopefully I don't get another one.

Unfortunately you cant just contact the hospitals every year and say that you want to get radiotherapy scanned or CT scanned for cancerous growths. It could save many lives, but would be way too expensive. Plus I gather that the radioactive scans especially can also pose a slight risk of causing cancer, but usually the risk benefit is in favour of the scans, when presenting with known conditions or issues.

Oh, no, you just reminded me: because they DID give me the max dose of Midazolam, plus Fentanyl (and my friend gave me OC80 and some weed beforehand), I was super doped up so when the doctor - as he was pushing the camera thing up my butt - asked "Did you do anything nice this weekend?" I said "Pretty much this, actually". Thank fuck he laughed 'cause that wouldda been SO awkward. I wouldn't normally risk that joke sober.

Glad to hear the procedure went well for you!

I'm at a weird age now where I'm definitely not old or even "aging" but also where the only way somebody would call me young is if I died.

Fackin' hell, no wonder you were a grumpy Cunt with me for a few days, I would be too if I was in that mess tbh.

You do know you can watch Anal Fisting videos & "Rosebud" Porn AKA Prolapse Porn on most sites, it's a bit Grimm though.
Google "Fistula" btw @LoginNotSecure :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Very true sadly, my body in many ways been saying to me for a while "Hey Moron, you remember smoking all that Hash from 11? All that Heroin you shot & smoked, all those weird drugs from PIHKAL / TIHKAL you ate? NOW is the time you pay it back my friend.

As Varg sang on "Den Store Sovn" - "Resting will be nice. Rest all night through. To the next life."

I'm just trying to work out how or why you received midazolam and fent, and I only got Entonox, for what sounds like the same procedure.

I mean, I enjoyed the Entonox, but obviously the IV midazolam and fent would have been better!

Was I? I don't remember ever having any issues with anything you posted.

Was that when I mentioned something about you posting during comedowns? If so, I shouldn't have mentioned that at all really, but I think you took it in a tone it wasn't meant in.

I did not intend to come over in that way, if I did.

Anyway, all is good at the moment.

I also had a spot on my lung at the time that had been detected, and every communication was that they suspected it was malignant. They never said 'but it might not be.'

And it was only after several increasingly worrying tests, finally involving getting a biopsy, under a local anesthetic, involving a surgeon poking a long needle through my back, and stabbing at the growth inside my lung to get tissue samples. All the while I had to be not sedated as I needed to exactly follow the surgeon's instructions regarding my breathing. Any messing up on that could have been catastrophic!

It was only after those tissue samples got analysed that they were able to confirm that the spot was benign after all!

Weirdly, I somehow managed to remain very Stoic throughout all of that, and the time leading up to it. Although if the results had confirmed the worse, and that lung surgery would definitely be required, then no doubt that would have been a whole new much higher level test of my Stoicism.

It's cool, we all have days where shit isn't right.

My stepdad is Terminally ill with Hodgkin lymphoma & had to have some steel stuff screwed into his neck & had needles going in through his neck via the front & back (yes just skimming the Spine & all the Nerves) which he was WARNED in very blunt terms you make an error on this one your fucked!!!!!

Oh, I don't know what Entonox is (just googled it now) ohhh I see. I assumed from context is was a brand name for some benzo.

If you're also in the UK I have no idea why they'd give you Nitrous and me Midazolam and Fent, maybe just depends on the hospital? I know my dad was also given Midazolam for a colonoscopy.

Same here, I could huff 20 Crackers in 30 mins & be fine after.
If any fucking "Doctor" or as I call 'em Josef Mengele (Josef Mengele (1911–1979) was a German SS officer and physician at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, known as the "Angel of Death" (Todesengel) tried to give me N20 & insert God knows what up my arse I'd take his fucking head off.

I went mad at some "Doctor" who inserted one of those nasty 2ml things into my hand before surgery, he butchered me & I shouted at him due to Pain "What the FUCK mate? Jesus wept you do that again we got an issue!!!!!!!"

People in The NHS are literally "Todesengel" & they will ignore your cries, very rare you'll get a Nurse who will actually listen to you & get it.
I'll never forget the Quack who wrote me Morphine right away off his Blue Pad after I had a hole cut into my Arse, he was a good Quack imho.
