To the 63 people who voted no, a big fuck u to you all! It might seem ok for you to take your fun little pills and feel naughty cos your doing something illegal but just take a moment to think about the kinds of risks people take in providing you with your fun, happy time. This war on drugs is no laughingb matter, the penalties for supplying these substances can be absolutely life destroying. I know people who have KILLED themselves because they couldn't face up to the enormity of the legal situation they faced, just so fucked up litlle ravers can have a sparkly, fun night. Fuck you to ANYBODY who supports the suppression of drugs yet still uses them, you're a bunch of FUCKING HYPOCRITES who don't deserve to have access to marvelous, life-enhancing chems such as MDMA. I hope you all burn with the fire of 1000 suns in the depths of hell.

It is legal to huff spray-cans... aerosols are easily available and there is no regulations prohibiting how they are used.

here is my 2 cents,

in the 1920's alcohol was illegal, but people who knew how to made it at home and it was sold on the black market. the young people at the time the "flappers" would go out and get drunk and dance to this 'crazy' new jazz music. all the other people looked down on them because the liked to drink alcohol and dance.

similar with xtc and todays ravers.

if xtc is legalised it would become cheaper and better quality, u would know what u are getting.

people who want xtc will use and abuse it whether it is illegal or not.

xtc is a soft drug imo, it does not make people violent and loose control the way alcohol can.
it doesnt silently kill you, while giving you nothing but an addiction, like ciggarettes do.

it is true it has killed people, but how many of those deaths are because of accidently taking too much, combining it with other drugs, or not knowing wat was in the pill.

maybe if it was available thro a doctors prescription. the doc could check for heart problems, blood pressure, and mental problems.

i'm pro legalisation, but to be fair dude, everyone in the game makes a choice to enter it. people who sell drugs, as a rule, are fucking assholes in my experience so i have no problems with them risking themselves so 'fucked up little ravers can have a sparkly, fun night', as you so eloquently put it. its not like any dealers are fucking robin hood spreading the love or dumb shit like that no matter how much they tell you that's the case. they do what they do to make shitloads of money.

as sad as it is that your buddy popped himself - he always had a choice - right up to when he killed himself.

A pro from legalisation is the quality but a big con is that there will be SO many idiots that'll think ''oh it's legal so it wont be dangerous'' (just like you have now with alcohol)

I would much prefer the majority of people partying on MDMA instead of alcohol on saturday nights(or whenever they party). What a nice place the world would be :)

I must say that I don't believe in legalisation without information. A system where you would have to pass a test to get access to a drug(much like you need a drivers license to be allowed to drive a car) would be fine, IMO. That would be a way to ensure that people doing drugs knows the consequenses, and knows about harm reduction. Of course, this system should also include the drugs tobacco and alcohol.

i personally dont think it should be legalised, if it is then obviously you will get the retards who think oh ill have a pill tonite and some alcohol (granted i do drink alcohol sometimes before i do my pills but not get pissed, just tipsy and drink a bit more water ) if e was legalised its possible we could have 11 year old kids getting people to go in the shop for them for it along with theyre cider and ten fags. people who arent mentally strong enough to take the feeling aswell and there would be alot more deaths due to people beign ignorant. as for if it was legal, yeah sure u might get better quality pills but u would still be able to get them from dealers (just like u can buy cheap cigarettes from peples houses) who will still sell pills that have shit in them. and as for price i think the £4 i currently pay for one is fine, i can go out on 15 quid, get 2 pills, into the club, fags and chewy and get home. they would not be cheaper cause the goverment would put a shit load of tax on it like they have cigarettes and alcohol (go to turkey and u can get 20 marlboro for bout £1 and a pint for 35p)
 
I think Ecstasy should be legalised simply because illegality just determines the market conditions that exist for the purchase and sale of the drug.

In Business Studies you learn that "Buyer meets Seller = Market is created".

So, if the demand for a product exists, there are going to be sellers willing to meet that demand regardless of the legalisation issues surrounding that product.

Illegalisation of a product just seems to remove the Quality Control and Standards that would normally apply to a legal consumer product.

Personally, I would prefer to be buying this product from GlaxoSmithKline or Pfizer than a potentially shady drug dealer with no scruples.

This is just my view based on a consumer-led society.
 
I can't quite get my head around the concept of it being legalised but i do think it should be decriminalised.

A conviction can have a major impact on your future,
Imagine landing a fantastic job, opportunity to travel the worlds trade show circuit, and you have to tell your boss you can't go because 4 years ago you got busted with your weekends supply of pills, and now you cant get a visa.8o

I think maybe my vieuw is difirent from some ppl here because i live in holland. Here you dont get locked up away for a few years because of a small amount of pills. So even cops dont see you as a criminal for using pills, you see where I'm going? When I see some documentarie from America where cops are taking someone's money and putting him to jail for a LONG time 'cos they have 1 rock of crack 8( ofcourse i got to puke.

If you make somethin legal it automatically makes it much more mainstream then if it were not.. which will lead to a lot more ppl taking it, creating a world full of etards.. :P

Like.. dont get me wrong,, i looooooove e... its a good high, makes me feel happy happy for the time being, but u kno.. e actually does have some really bad side affects, like depression etc.

Making something like that legal 2 me is a little ridiculous.

If they cant even legalize weed, then e definitaly shouldnt be legal.

Humans have been taking mind-altering drugs for centuries. It's part of human nature. There will always be a market for them. LifeonMars is right. As long as there is a demand for a product, sellers will meet it. Adam Smith, the founder of modern economics said: " the most hazardous of trades is the most profitable" The profits of the drug industry are HUGE! But where do you think your money goes when you and your friends buy a pill? It doesn't get put back into the economy. Not the legitimate economy anyway. Drugs are bought and sold in the black market. It is how criminals become rich and powerful. Osama bin Laden, the man responsible for killing all those people in your New York was probably helped by you. Think about that. Stop thinking about yourselves for a moment, and think about the big picture. Think about the effects the illegality of pills etc have on the non-drug taking population today.
 
^^^^^ Actually, the millions of gallons of oil we bought from them probably did a little bit more.. The Al-Qeuda were religious renegades, and had nothing to do with drugs, as it was against their Muslim beliefs. Aside from that, MDMA is made in the netherlands, and shipped thru Israelis, our allies!. The literature is right there on the DEA's website. Heroin is mainly Mexican these days, cocaine is columbian. The Al-Queda and Osama have all of nothing to do with American drugs.

If you really want it, you will find it.. However, there are the people who would never have had access to it, but now that its legal, will start popping..
I believe that its illegality helps weed out(to some degree) who really desires it, and whos gonna pick it up cuz its there.. Granted there are exceptions, but on the large scale of things, this is the way it is..

Excuse me, but fuck you? It was their decsion to deal drugs, or at least have them in such large quantities.. It was their desiscion to be greedy and try and take the easy money way, instead of getting a real job, if dealing was the case. If you play with fire, you gotta except you might get burnt.. Sorry that they killed themselves, sucks that they just didnt claim bankruptcy.

Granted illegality is not perfect... Im still firm with decriminalization.[
