Mental Health Coming off Invega/Xeplion (paliperidone) injections v. 10

I don’t want to die but I can’t live like this anymore. It’s too much suffering and no guarantee that I’ll get better. I don’t have the strength to wait.

That’s the big lie that they trick you with. Should last a month. Can’t be that bad. It’s been six months for me.
How long is it supposed to last. It's been more than 2 months and I have only one shot and the effects are so severe. There are so severe that a medicine I used to take called artane use to make me feel good now they no longer make feel good after the injection. What is the cause behind this?

These antipsychotic drugs block dopamine and dopamine is necessary to feel relaxed or any type of positive feeling. It’s the most unethical drug known to mankind. A torture device.

I want to use dopamine agonist to fix this problem. Besides that are there any other kind of drugs or things that help.

I’m not sure. It might work for you.

I’m not really interested in taking more medication I feel like it might add to the problem but that’s just me.

I'm going to try it. I can't just sit and wait. I have to do something about this stuff,i have a lot of plans that I have to do and it's incredibly unfair and unjustified what this forced injection have done to me and the worst part it was given for nothing.

Good luck. I relate. I had a lot of plans and life goals as well that have gone in the gutter. It’s incredibly sad what these people can do to you.

Hello people It does get better . I am one of the living proof of that . I got injection in 2018 total of 3 and it took around 2020 for me to feel somewhat normal but my interest came back and the anhedonia was lifting from me. Now I am in a much better place in life I have heen stabled for 4 years I also able to function like normal with a different feeling and view about life .everything won't be the same like before the injection but you will be able to eventually start back enjoying life again.
Do you feel like yourself again?

Do you feel like yourself again?
I dont know how to explain it ! I feel like a better newer version of myself especially going through what I went through with that injection gaining some feelings back only to slip back into psychosis for 2 years straight then finally deciding to try medication again and now stable I feel very good my outlook on life has changed as well and I feel like I am learning a new version of myself while i am in the current reality and not feeling like I walking around in a movie which felt like a false reality i am more grounded and more present I feel 1000% better then ever a level of maturity I didnt think I would ever grow into or reach . For me I bounced back new and improved and I hope that happens for all of you ! I haven't seen anybody from when I first started posting here give any updates I hope they are enjoying life again because I am .

I've been suffering for more than 2 months and it's not like i had any issue that required it. They gave me for absolutely nothing. Can you imagine how dangerous that is?They said the drug effects supposed to last for a month but it's been more than 2 months, i want to do something about this. It was the april 15th i was forcefully given. What is going on? Please do you know what is going on?
I'm sorry I don't know what's going on. Either the drugs are still in our system or they caused long-term or permanent damage or both. Recovery stories are varied because it's clear that these drugs impact us differently depending on genetics and age. Maybe there is some combination of drugs and supplements that will mask or lessen the symptoms but it seems to be mostly a waiting game. We're all doing time in our own bodies basically.

It's actually fucking disgusting they told me a month as well and then I google it's more like 138 days or some shit. Disgusting behaviour
And in the end it’s way more than 138 days. Sad part is even they don’t know because they don’t care. The drugs are designed to force compliance.

I see my psychiatrist in 2 weeks, will inquire about a low dose abilify ( 2-5 mg) to help my anhedonia and low motivation. Read many studies that showed it helps in low doses. Basically abilify at 10 mg or more per day acts as a full antipsychotic blocking dopamine but in low doses between 2-5 mg it acts as a partial agonist meaning it increases dopamine in parts of the brain where it is low and reduces dopamine in parts of the brain where it is high unlike 10 mg or more where it blocks all dopamine.

I have waited 16 painful months for my motivation , anhedonia and other cognitive symptoms to lift but sadly it did not and I'm not waiting 2 more years rotting at home just to feel 20% better which is why i'm inquiring about abilify , might even add on wellbutrin too.

nah not injection im talking about the just pills. But tbh i did more research and this psychiatrist said that even 2mg occupies 65% of dopamine receptor ill think about it. As for wellbutrin, it felt stimulating the first time I took it but it wore off after 3rd day, once we increased to 300 mg i got the worst tinnitus of my life so i will think about that too.

You're going to use a dopamine agonist, right? Someone who claims to be in the medical field told me that they worsen issues in the long run.he said using dopamine agonists will lead to a shutdown in all natural dopamine production and a down regulation of dopamine transporters. Do you think this is true? Are you worried about something like that happening?

first of all, abilify is an antipsychotic and a partial agonist and wellbutrin is a very weak dopamine agonist, non of these two are like those parkinsons medications which sole purpose is to increase dopamine .The two i mentioned are safer than prampeixole or similar medication and I personally will not mess with any of them because they are just risky.

I don't trust any drug, it's poison.

Are you sure wellbutrin would work? The injection they gave you sounds like it has a very high affinity level. Don't you need something with a high affinity level so that it would compete and replace it? It sounds like those drugs would do nothing to help. What do you think about this?
