Invegolas.. It's because you have no control over your mind. You're succumbing to your negative thoughts and not pausing before reacting from the thoughts. Emotions get the best of us, especially fear and anger. I have four charges for my psychotic break. I have court next month. This medicine is simply a wake up call. A warning not to buy into my fear and anger any more. The mind hallucinates our realities. Tame the mind and start using it as a tool instead of your master.

Look @Legolas I got to agree here that the trick is to not let your mind take over. I started getting high knowing I was at risk for psychosis but I was not in the same situation I was living in. I was put on this medication because I thought my gf at the time was trying to kill me for cheating on her. Now I stick to a straight and narrow path and do not let myself get into situation I where I have to lie because that is the tool of concious that you live with.

Be honest with yourself and see if you are ready to come off the poison. Keep a journal and keep your thoughts in check. When I was coming off in my earlier months I slept 10 hours. Now I am doing better sleeping on 6/7/8. I'm happy now. So what you should do is find a happy medium in your life where you can sustain a good mental state of well being and then keep learning how to maintain the healthy mindset.

So yeah I decided to come off of it because of how it made me and it ruined my life really it was going to kill me if I stayed on it longer I felt like I was drowning.

So yeah. I been off it 8 months and doing good. Working and living with my gf. I see a therapist every week too and that helps. I really cleaned up my life. I got more work to do from the fallout of 2018 where my life was nothing but I am slowly climbing out of that dark hole. Now I am happy to be alive. Plus I just got into Elder Scrolls Online.

Of course your doctor will not want you off of it they believe in this shit. They aren't on it. Also I told a urgent care doctor about how I finally got off invega and he goes "I hope you know what your doing" phff acting like I'm some nut job. I would be dead if I stayed on invega. Just thinking of how it altered my life makes me shudder and sick to my stomach. It's hard to come back here and talk about it. I don't want to remember that it happened to me but I'm accepting it.

I also had reportedly taken spiced weed and I had no knowledge of this.. K2 Spice got me pschotic paranoia psychosis. It was weed induced. But no. They treated me like I was a schizophrenic and didn't even give me a fair chance to normalize in the p.ward before they gave me that garbage.

Then I had this mother fucking Indian doctor that convinced my dad (who was my caretaker because I was too "dull" to keep up in conversation) that I had to stay on Invega so I received 8 shots or 9 in total counting the booster. I had to convince my dad to let me quit by studying on here and representing the Information to him and he finally came to consensus it was bad for me. I paced the floors day in and day out I prayed outloud I never prayed before. I was whacked out.

This to me is what I considered recovered. I have no issues that are currently stopping me from living a life.

Maybe I'm lucky. Maybe it's the self medicating I did that pushed my recovery. Maybe it was my detox drink.

@Offvega

Ok so it sounds like you were offered invega and you didn't have the whereabouts to say no. If your psychosis was weed induced then for sure you should not have been injected with anything... So it was like poison to you. I guess that's what differs us, I had never smoked weed or even cigarettes before my psychosis. It was brought on from not being able to sleep, which I believe is because my body can't flush out caffeine quick enough (I was drinking a lot of coffee during that time).

Also, how old are you? You just got into elder scrolls online so are you still in HS? Now that you're off this poison shouldn't you be finishing your degree and searching for work.

I can tell you're doing a lot better without it @Antipsychotique33 and yes of course, if my doctors told me to jump out the window I would obey their holy instructions. Why wouldn't I? Do you think I'm so stupid that I would NOT jump out the window?

Do you think they would test me to see if if I have been taking my invega pills?
Do they even have a way to do that?

I don't think I would have any urine tests but I do get bloodwork done every 3 months, would it show up somehow that I haven't been taking my pills? Is it

@Canadianscott.if ur court ordered to take it, they can urine test u for it I think.and If ur getting blood tests done ur hormones like prolactin will lower and ur testosterone will be higher so ya the doc could tell ur not taking it.

But if ur 18 u have the right to refuse invega, now I don't suggest this cuz I would listen to ur doc rather then me. But I quit invega cold turkey I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms and am doing good, besides still having side effects any way. In my opinion it tapers itself off it has 5 to 6 half life's and like 25 to 49 days per half life

@invegolas u don't make sense to me. If u believe the consensus of ur doctors that the way u feel is because of the illness, then why lower ur dose or quit antiphycoticst?so why are U here?

@Jonnyhalo Let me try to explain to you. People are not prescribed invega sustena for NO REASON. Maybe some people really need it and maybe other people not as much. But you need to understand that there are mental illnesses which are why people are prescribed it. Mental illnesses have symptoms and the drug, which stabilizes the user from the mental illness, has side effects. Side effects can be things like anhedonia, blurred vision, irritated skin, restlessness, etc. Symptoms of the illness (assuming you have an illness and were rightfully prescribed the medication) can include anhedonia, hallucinations, delusions, feeling the need for isolation, disorganized speech, catatonia, etc.
The reason I'm on this thread is because I am ordered by my doctors to take invega and I want to see if other people have success coming off of it along with all the details of their detox. Just like anyone else, I don't want to need to be on a medication, especially an antipsychotic at that.

If I seem really opinionated or biased towards the medication its only because I'm challenging what's being said by someone in the thread.

@invegolas ya I get it we all got invega for a reason I understand ur point. But I have a simple question for u, why do u want to come off invega?

U dodged my question the first time..

Jony halo i need to tell you something. I went to another urologist who told me he had one pacient who got injected with invega only one time and got completely impotent ( that is dick not working even with viagra) for 9 months and recovered( need to ask if completely but it need to be because otherwise I will shot myself) after 12 months. That means the people who is having ed will get better I guess. I need to believe this to live. But I don't care if my dick doesn't start working again in 1 year off I will kill myself. I just needed to tell you this because you are having the same problems that I am. I wish you all the best. I only have erectile disfunction from the poison so doesn't make sense for me to be around here anymore

@edrudd that's great news man. Hope u stick around, it's nice hearing positive updates

@Jonnyhalo I don't see how I dodged your question. I already said: I want to be off the invega because it is an antipsychotic and I don't want my body to need to rely on a hefty drug (especially that of an antipsychotic) to be able to function normally.

@Sharvansara you sound like an idiot. I doubt you've done any sort of quality research in medicine...

I'm going to merge this into the megathread.

Man I wish a medical professional and a lawyer could sift through all the coming of invega threads and maybe people would reconize what antiphycotics do, maybe doctors would have a new consensus...

I just watched a really great talk by Robert Whitaker on psychiatric drugs and their impact on people. It's an hour-ana-half long talk and he touches on a lot of bases. Search up "Robert Whitaker - Psychiatric Drugs: Do They Fix Imbalances or Do They Create Them - Part 2" if you want to watch it. The main thing that I got out of the talk was that these antipsychotic medications such as invega are effective at treating the short-term acute symptoms of psychotic illnesses but may not be good for long term treatment. One thing he said is that staying on these antipsychotics for years actually shrinks the brain causing cognitive issues. He also said that 30% of people taking psychiatric medication long term develop permanent psychosis while on medication. Those were key points that he made that stood out to me but he also talks about how drug companies fit a narrative and even shut up or devalue the work of some finds in research in psychiatry. He talks about a lot of stuff... Great video if you have the time to watch it.

@invegolas thanks for the info I'll check out Robert Whitaker... I just read a post on the coming off antipsychotics mega thread from Sharvansara he was talking about pacitian and stablon. I don't know, taking drugs that increase dopamine I don't think it would work any way because invega blocks dopamine and serotonin receptors so it would pointless to take in my opinion, plus antidepressants shrinks the hippocampus says Google anyway... I just want come off invega without taking more meds
