Hey i switched to seroquel on tuesday. Seroquel was very sedating. I ended up sleeping 13 hours that night. Idk what to do since i bugged my parents for months to get me off the injection and put me on seroquel. But i tried one seroquel pill and it really drained my energy. My doctor prescribed me 5 200mg pills and 25 300 mg pills. I kinda think it may just be too high of a dose but i doubt my doctor would lower it. I really dont want to be on antipsychotics but my parents want me on it absolutely. Anyone else here being forced to take antipsychotics?

So my last injection was 3 months ago of the trinza, am I 3 months off? Can I say I'm 3 months off the injection?

Is trinza the medication that last for 3 months? Well if it is i guess you really only got off antipsychotics now as thats a drug that last for 3 months. You need like a year more to recover from the invega drug you on. Why did you get put on it. Were you experiencing voices?

Yeah it's the 3 months, and some guy on here said it starts on the day of your last injection to call it off injection, if that makes sense. I got on it cuz I got into a conflict with the cops haha

When I tried Seroquel I was on a lower dose and felt the same tiredness/fatigue. Please take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt but I have heard anecdotally that with higher doses of Seroquel, the tiredness is not as prominent. I only say that because I heard someone else say it on here somewhere not long ago.

Either way, I would ask my doctor about it. We pay them big bucks whether it's self pay or through insurance, so IMHO it is worth it to put our doctors to work or even challenge them a little bit if it is on our best interests. And when I say "challenge" I mean asking them tough questions, not necessarily arguing with them. Being hostile towards a psychiatrist will only lead to bad marks on your permanent medical record.

The only time I've been forced to take antipsychotics was when I was on court-ordered Risperdal injections. Now I'm just heavily coerced into taking them if there is even a difference.

You start counting from the due date of your next injection. So my due date for my last injection was meant to be the 27th December but I never had it so I start from that date. You don't start from the date of your last injection because the injection is your monthly dosage or in your case 3 monthly dosage. So count 3 months off from the date you last had your injection

Thanks for clarifying

MSM, Magnesium L-Tryptophan, mushroom (Hericium Erinaceus), Vitamine A-Z pills and CBD oil.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to take methylphenidate..? Could it slow down recovery?

I really want to read/have the ability to absorb information again and I always used this.
I wouldn't recommend taking that as it could cause another psychosis episode

When does apetite recover, because my apetite is very low, I can barely eat until 16:00 ? @dirtyinvega
I can't feel hunger either or tiredness. It's gotten abit better now I have a banana smoothie for breakfast then lunch, greek yoghurt for afternoon tea, dinner & ice cream for desert. I make myself eat as normal as possible. I use to eat alot more I used to have breakfast & morning tea aswell. The first 4 weeks on the loading dose I was always hungry then about a week & a half after the first shot 75mg I couldn't feel hunger anymore. Atfirst I stopped eating as much then out of nowhere for a few weeks I actually ended up eating more than I ever have even though I couldn't feel hunger I was shoving myself with food because I wanted to feel something everytime I was hoping that it would just go back to normal. It was crazy how much food I was making myself eat it was like I couldn't stop but not because I was hungry I just had this urge to feel something I also had severe restlesness which I think played a big part in my eating. After a few weeks it settled down & I was able to get back into a normal routine of eating. I couldn't feel pleasure from eating I think my taste buds had gone aswell but they're almost fully back I'd say

There was a really good post I can't remember if it was in this thread or the other one but someone posted a list of people who had recovered & the amount of time it took them to recover & how many shots they had plus a link to their profiles to read their posts. Can anyone post that here again?
