Basically... What
THEY said.
The psychological aspect may be the monkey that follows you around for life. Physically it will be pretty rough as you attest in your post. But getting the monkey off your back (getting clean ) is the easier part...
Keeping the monkey off your back (the psychological addiction) is the hardest part.. As myself and many others will say due to our ongoing addictions/dependencies..
I wish I could give you some advice, but I myself have not had a true break from Benzos and/or Opiates in around 11 years... Having an addiction is fucking horrible - it makes what can be an already difficult life even harder.
You deserve a better life - believe me!
Try, try, try and keep yourself occupied engaging in any interests/passions/hobbies you may have. I know that's easier said than done. But as you're not yet that deep in a hole (relatively speaking) now is the time to make that extra effort to engage in healthier lifestyle options. As the longer and deeper the addiction goes on, and the more it takes a hold of you, you'll probably find as time goes by that you will lose interest in what were once your
interests.
