I have a theory that there are meth brains and coke brains, and the vast majority of drug users fall into one category or the other. I think it's to do with the substantially different mechanisms of action involved. So your brain is more likely to respond excitedly to one or the other. That doesn't mean people can't enjoy both, but usually one is orders of magnitude more rewarding than the other. Thus why meth lovers can't fathom coke lovers & vice versa.
Note: IV coke is excluded from above.
I've heard this a couple of times myself. But then I wonder if it's a case of whichever drug wraps around your brain first. I'm an amphetamine/meth fan, but have only done coke twice, so by no means an authority, but in those times I've never found anything to write home about. But I wonder if it's because I'm looking for an amphetamine euphoria where none exists. I've even found myself in a place where I've done crack once, and I actually found myself hating it (thank god [no judgement, but last thing I need is one more addiction to throw on the pile]). But again, I think my brain was looking for something specific, and I found myself disappointed and discontented at what I perceived as a rush without euphoria. So yeah, I'm inclined to agree with the above statement.
