Television Breaking Bad

that whole 1000 posts thing is an anachronism from the days when BL was hamster-powered.

You know, I always wondered why so much of BL funding went toward the purchase of shredded paper. Now I know.

edit: Also, I just started season 4 and I'm glad it included Gail. Oddly enough, he was my favorite character. Seriously, why couldn't they have taken Walter Jr. instead?

Just finished the latest episode cause I missed it the other night
But holy fuck, shit is hitting the fan now

Also Max; how do you keep up with this thread and not spoil everything for yourself if you're only on season 4?

AHHHHH cant wait until sunday! time drags so slow between breaking bad. I have never been this into a TV show before, probably since i was a little kid and watched denis the menace cartoons all the time before school hah

Does anyone know what gus ingests poolside before don eladio comes out? he pull out a little plastic box and puts something in his mouth and swallows its, it kinda looked like pills but you never get a good shot of it. My guess for the poison would be some type of fent derivitive, or maybe even some kind of organophosphate, extremely toxic and fast acting and from what i understand easy to miss on an autopsy. It would be cool if they spelled Don Eladio like Don Heladio. Helado is spanish for ice cream. Don Icey.

I must have missed him popping some pills...but if he took them before he went to the bathroom, wouldn't throwing them up be counter-intuitive? I assumed that him throwing up was what saved him.

I have no idea, but I'm pretty sure avoiding autopsies wasn't a high priority for Gus... what with those 20 bodies lying about, some of which died of extreme lead poisoning. :D

This is season 4! I always used to skim this thread and post random, inane comments (whats new ;)). When I actually started watching, I went back to page 1 and only read as far as I'd seen. At times, I'd have to stop myself from replying to a two year old post with "I totally think that's whats gonna happen, too." My favorite posts to laugh at were the "OMFG WE HAVE TO AN ENTIRE YEAR FOR THE NEXT SEASON FUCK", but unfortunately that will be me once this current season ends.

Anybody else loving how at the start of the season, Walter was fighting to gain power and control over his life? Now he is slowly losing control of everything!

Also, did anybody else notice Walter Jr looking at his father's pills when he was tucking him in? This was a few episodes back, but when I saw this scene I thought he was going to take them, maybe get addicted.

But how about when he went and saw Hector? Dude is too evil.

Hector AKA Don Salamanca AKA Tio deserves that shit. He was a cruel motherfucker. He is responsible for the death of his family far more than Gus is, by pushing them into that lifestyle. If Gus/Walt/Jesse didn't kill off all his progeny at some point, someone else would have.

That said, Gus is an evil motherfucker and has to go. They made him so empathetic for a few episodes, and then he starts running his mouth about killing families that aren't involved and shit. I love how this show has the capacity to make you love or hate a character in one scene. We all hated Gus since Half-Measures, then we begin to love him in Hermanos, and that lasts for about two episodes, where he is an even greater villain than he previously was.

And Max Power: Welcome to this world.

I like Gus. He is running a business, he can't show weakness, which is why I think he threatened Walt and his family. He can't show weakness, otherwise he'd be overrun. We've seen his character at home, when Jesse came over for dinner. He is just another man, trying to make a living. At first, I didn't know what to think about Gus, but his character development is fantastic. In fact, I think Gus is becoming my favorite character on BB. It use to be Walter, then it became Jesse and now it's Gus.

Holy fuckin Shit......Just watched the last 3 episodes at all once. I really do think that Hank would be a great person to consult with at this point. But then again, I am always pretty surprised at the chain of events of this show. I think Hank would be obligated to give advice and try to protect his sister and her family. I think if Walt and Skyler go to the DEA, there would be no deal. He would have to go to jail.....at least for some time and that would be the DEAL. I mean afterall, he is the guy they are looking for......he is the top of the chain. Besides, I don't think the DEA is gonna help him out.....only Hank can at this point. As far as Skyler's decision, What a fuckin bitch? This is her husband's money.......No one told her to fuck over herself early in the seasons when she went and fucked the gay looking guy. I never liked him.

I think Hank would be obligated to give advice and try to protect his sister and her family.

I think if Walt told Hank the story at first Hank would be like Skyler was, but then I think he'd work at finding a way out without taking the bureaucratic channels and turning them into the DEA. Hank is very much a family man and he wouldn't want them going to prison.

I mean afterall, he is the guy they are looking for......he is the top of the chain.

I'm not so sure about that anymore. It was when Walt was running his own show but now he's just a sidekick. Gus is the leader of the organization, he's the main target. Walt is just the guy who started out with good intentions, made some very bad decisions and is now caught in a web. Even if he is the producer of the "new meth" it's Gus who's leading the way in harm production.

^Yeah, but Gus's financial status was probably quadrupled, at least, because of Walt. Not to mention his status as an independent crime boss grew considerably once Gus had a way to distribute better meth than the cartel. Gus always had to rely on getting shipments in from Mexico until he had Walt.
It's a shame that he feels the need to kill Walt now...then again...it's crazy shit that went down...

I don't really think that he is.

He and Marie don't have a kid, he was on the verge on shutting Marie out completely before the case came back up, and he frequently puts his job above his family (he was basically using Walt to help him further his case). I'm sure he does appreciate them, but I don't think he has quite the level of commitment to them that Walt or Skyler has.

Gus is, absolutely without a doubt, my favorite character on BB.

The actor that plays him, Giancarlo Esposito, has been acting for the last 40 years but he has just recently seen mainstream success due to playing Gus. I have googled him several times and from what I've read, he is very unlike Gus in real life (obviously) but it's just interesting to see the way he thinks about his character and the methods he uses to channel such a cold, cruel and evil persona on screen. When I see pictures of Giancarlo smiling, something that Gus NEVER does, it gives me shivers.

ZOMG....I know

I wonder how Walt's gonna get out of this one...He actually didnt even need to freak about what Gus threatened....just as long as he leaves Gus, and Jesse alone.....he should be alright....and so should his family....

He comes out of the deal relatively unscathed....He's got a profitable car wash and some extra cash.....and doesnt have to stress the job anymore...

Am I missing something??

I think maybe they're just going on Walt's instability and paranoia....he's just absolutely lost it....which was quite beautifully captured with that maniacal laugh

Sol shoulda never made that call....he's going way too far out of his way for Walt

Errr, because he was going to kill Hank?

Or did I just make that up?
