^or...you could just not involve yourself in reckless endeavors that endanger your life.
endlesseulogy said:KB. I respect your knowledge regarding Chaos and Darwinism.
However you could use the same theories relate to and justify war.
the 19th century strove to take an objective take on nature. To be the very opposite of what we presume to call primitive animism.. the view of seeing everything as alive. Of people who hold converse with animals, rivers and mountains. That said the 19th century is the pathetic fallacy.. the projection of human characteristics upon unintelligent entities in nature.. We withdrew that projection in the 19th century and said "lets look at everything objectively". Unfortunately we turned that same attitude on ourselves and said lets look at human psychology as OBJECT. When we discovered ourselves to be objects. We decided that was that and the time had come for suicide Simply because all objects as the name implies as are object able. When everything is deprived of subjectivity and regarded as a mechanism with nobody home, then the world is seen as futile.. and we are indeed preparing to destroy the planet because of this.

So much for science basing all its beliefs on observable facts. How can you really really be sure of anything when the very process that put you here in the first place isnt a given. Scientists use the same argument with people who believe in a creator saying, well, if you cant see it, you cant prove it. Looks like that argument comes around full circle.
You believe people dont have a right to protest now if they didnt before?electreauxbella said:Why start now?
Correct. By definition murder is 'not lawful'electreauxbella said:It's not murder, it's justice.

Where were you standing up for him, writing your letters to the Singapore Government when the original sentence was handed down, and not just in the last few weeks of his life??
Why start now?
It's all very well and good that some of you seem to jump on the "Human Rights" bandwagon now, but I can't say that any of you have proven that you have been following the case from the start and trying to "help" from the get go. It seems that as soon as the media brings something like this to light, the public pleas that the sencence is too harsh, or that he didn't know what he was doing. I say bullshit.
The simple fact of the matter is that he broke the law. Regardless of his motivation, he knew wht he was doing and got caught. He will now pay the ultimate price for his stupidity.
In most countries in the world, drugs are illegal and drug traffickers will always be punished - this will happen until the end of time, unless drugs are legalized.
It's not murder, it's justice.
