Not much of a Suzuki enthusiast are you? ;)

This was the C90 that I was talking about:

That little scooter is pretty darn cute though, and I even kinda like the color!! Noice find feelicks!

I had a friend who had a little 70s honda scooter like that. Smaller than the C90 though; it was only 50cc. You started it on the center stand with the foot pedals; didn't even have a kickstart lol

L.O.L. hahaha, where i come from, THIS is a C90:

:D

i'm not even joking, have a look: http://www.hondac90.co.uk/

yeah i know i'm not from Japan, but these things were all the rage back in the 70s. hehe. =D

p.s. i am tall and long and wear high heels (but they're just for fun ;))

I Love running in to people that have things like these, its a nice change to see them then just crotch rockets or choppers

I have a 1980 yamaha 400 special xs it is/was my first bike and it was given to me for free it had been sitting for 5 years with out being started. i had to put a little over $1000 in it for new tires, oil, breaks, clutch cable, basicly stupid stuff to just get the bike safe to ride, after it was ready i rode it for one season, took a saftey cours, and wrecked all in the same summer. ( im that good ) over all im addicted the feeling of owning a bike makes you feel like you are apart of something. as if other bikers have your back if you need them. i cant imagine not haveing a bike again.

Ahhh 4th page!

I fail as an OP ;)

I've got some new mods that I am working on this spring. I just ordered some driver floorboards and I'm going to be ordering a set of Lindby crash bars.

I'm still on the fence about which style I want. I'm not sure if I want the Linbar or the Multibar as seen below:

I don't like the Unibar and the Twinbar isn't made for my bike.

What do you guys think?

Boooooo feelicks!! :)

I've never really liked the look of crash bars/engine guards but the more I think about it, its really about protecting the bike. I know a guy who was riding in early winter and he went around a corner and hit a patch of black ice and laid the bike right down, no damage was done to his bike because the crash bars took the brunt of the scraping. I'd rather lose a couple hundred dollars as opposed to several thousand.

On another note, this year marks my 10th year of riding. I can't even believe it. I owned a bike before I owned a car :)

I'm still up in the air on the bars. I might call the manufacturer of the bars today and see if I can strike a deal :)

hehe. i've got engine guards on mine. i've dropped my bike on tarmac once (in motion, i mean), and those babies saved me a hell of a lot of money... :)

do they really need to be quite so huge on the back, though? or is that just part of the cruiser look? having said that though, those ones might save you being trapped under the bike if you eat the tarmac.

They don't stick out as far as they look. On the volusia anyway, its a much more subtle look. I think there is a greater protection of your legs in the event the bike ever did fall. These bars also seem sturdier to be for some reason, than just metal tubing which is what the Cobra brand bars look like to me.

*shrugs*

Knock on wood, I have never dropped a motorcycle, but if I did while I was riding I would be trying to push myself as far away from that bike (specifically the pipes) as I could.

Last summer, I had just pulled my bike into the shed after riding it and my husband came in and was moving stuff and accidentally leaned his bare calf (he was wearing shorts) against both of my exhaust pipes. That was one of the nastiest burns I have ever seen in person and it took weeks and weeks to heal. It still makes me queasy thinking about it.

^ OOOOOOHHH that's gotta hurt! 8o

These bars also seem sturdier to be for some reason, than just metal tubing which is what the Cobra brand bars look like to me.
Ummm... i'm pretty sure these ones will also be tubular! Otherwise they would weigh an absolute ton and completely screw up the handling of the bike. happy polishing anyway, hehe. ;)

I already have a crap load of chrome/shiny metal on my bike, what's an extra couple minutes polishing some more? :)

I'm sure you are correct about the lindby bars being tubular. I've seen them in person but I haven't actually picked up a pair, they were already mounted on a bike.

I just like the looks of them a lot better than the regular and cheaper rounded bars.

I did get my floorboards yesterday and those things weighed a friggin ton! (Maybe not quite an actual ton, but they were heavier than I thought they would be)

^ Haha, that's awesome :D

I've never ridden a crotch rocket; I really want to someday.

I got my bike fired up for the first time this year yesterday. It's a 600cc single cylinder with only a kickstarter. On top of that it's a very finicky starter (if the air/fuel mix isn't perfect it won't fire), it only got to 4C and it hasn't run in 5 months. All things combined it took me an hour of kicking and tinkering the the idle speed and pilot screws. I was in a T-shirt out there in the cold (I didn't feel cold :\). I'm glad I had some amphetamine in me, my right leg gained an inch of girth :D

Once it got going it ran like a top though; it'll be easier to start from now on. It's just the first time of the year after sitting for the winter is always a bitch for any of my summer machines.

^^

I had to let my bike battery sit on the charger overnight and even then I had to do a little bit of praying to get it started. I normally take the battery out for the winter, but I just never got around to it this year. I just have to remember to get out there and start it once a week or so until we get into real riding weather.

That video was very cool feelicks. :)

Just a little hint... Johnson's spray on furniture polish make your chrome shine like brand new and you don't have to let it dry and then rub it off. Just spray on and wipe! ;)

Polishing chrome makes my wrists hurt! I don't get people who spend oodles of money on chrome. If you ask me, the vendors should be paying YOU because of all of the upkeep you are going to have to do on it. ;) :)

Nope, not a lot of chromey goodness, but still a looker for sure.

There was a dealer with a Strom at the show, I don't think I could touch the ground on it! LOL You must be pretty tall feelicks, or have some long leggins.

Any BL'r rides being organized some time soon? I was out for a couple hours yesterday and there were bikes out everywhere! :)
