Its funny coz initially when I opened this thread I didnt consider myself a 'muso' of any real sort....
However I've been playing the flute since I was 4yrs old (got up to grade5 level before I got really peeved with the music examination process) and I played that in my high school band from grade 5 till year 11. After that I'd randomly play at events that people asked me to.. unfortunately playing the flute isnt really an 'in demand' passtime as it has a pretty limited scope, unlike most other general instruments (brass, guitar, piano etc).
Also since I was about 5yrs old I have been singing my lungs out heh. From my first ever public appearance singing 'Animal Crackers In My Soup' and 'On The Good Ship Lollypop' infront of adoring fans at a church talent night the ripe age of 5... and I'm yet to live that down :D . Then my choirmaster insisted that I join the highschool choir when I was in year 9.. my favourite achievement was singing the opening solo to 'Joyful Joyful' (The Sister Act Version) when I was in yr12.
I'd love to get back into singing, as I loved it immensly when I was involved.. unfortunately I'm not as forthright about my singing as my friends were.. so they'd always get asked to do things instead. I have a pretty kickarse deep alto range, so its not really suited to the kinda of music my friends would sing anyways.
