Best/Worst Thing About your City

madison, wi

a lot of progressive thinking, open minded people. the lakes provide great recreational and aesthetic appeal. lots of good psychadelic drugs.

one can get real comfortable here in a sort of la la land though. there's a lot of wealth here and not a lot of cultural or racial diversity. the capitalist laziness kind of sets in after a while here.

I think there's more diversity if you're really out to find it.

Madison is pretty underrated as a whole IMO.

Willits, CA;

Gorgeous redwoods/sequoia everywhere. If you like Muir Woods, you would love it here. Great weather, warm with low or no humidity. Problem is the state/DEA camped out on either end of town for cultivators mainly, & meth labs. Lots of meth use here, and we have a saying for the locals on the main drag...."nice tooth". Plus its in the middle of nowhere, smack dab middle of Mendocine Cty. Its like miles of trees forever, then you come to Willits, then you drive through and redwoods again, so we're issolated. Doesn't stop the DEA from camping out here tho.

Best: Very active local EDM scene as well as an abundance of almost every drug out there (except ketamine apparently). Less than a days drive from Canada if I feel the need to escape teh USA.

Worst: Our bridges fall into our rivers during rush-hour, it's stupid-fucking-cold in the winter, and we have so much highway construction during the summer that most of the city's ateries are rendered useless. Oh yeah...there's also way too much genre-grudge in our EDM scene and way too many of the oldskoolers (late 20s to mid 30s) rag on the very things they loved when they were younger (drugs, phat-pants, glowsticks, etc) since they are more 'mature' than that now. FFS...let the kids have their fun...no one showed up at raves when they were younger to tell them that phat-pants and glowsticks are tacky and childish and that drugs are bad for you so you should get drunk instead....wtf....

Best: Great nightlife/ clubs...open till sun comes up, tons of stuff to do, can get anything I want easily, everything is pretty condensed together so I can bike around.
Worst: too hot in summer, can't really think of anything else :) I<3 Miami

College: Orlando, FL
Best: Lots of touristy stuff (i.e. theme parks, waterparks, w.e), cocoa beach is close.
Worst: Not well connected with drugs, super hot bc is landlocked, clubs r small and suck, they close at 2 also so the night life sucks imo.

best:
lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of bars
good BBQ

worst:
sprawled out (takes as much as an hour to drive from one end to the other)
too hot in summer
too cold in winter
fuck this city!
 
seattle, wa

best: lots of high quality weed at decent prices. psilocybes are also very potent and equally available/affordable.

worst: $xx for an 80 mg oxycontin is considered cheap. $xx-xx is the norm. i guess there's just so many rich motherfuckers on mercer island who are willing to pay whatever it takes to secure themselves some oxy that it totally fucks over the rest of us that barely get by with our 9-5s but still wanna nod on the weekends :(

best: more crafter breweries than anyplace in the us. great and affordable dining. breath taking scenery. laid back people. good public transportation

worst: the worst traffic i've ever encountered in a small city. a tad rainy. indy rock is lame
 
Well I don't think it could ever actaully be called a city, but the worst thing about my town is the old people who sit on their porches with their hearing aids turned up all the way so they can hear everybody's business. The best thing has got to be those old Nikes hanging from the electrical wire in front of the town hall, they're just so apropos.

Im in Mich, in a little town called Osseo near the Ohio border, and I believe there are more hoverounds and stray cats here per-capita than anywhere on earth... :)

Best: Everyone knows all the hot girls are in AZ. Plus the Suns, ASU, great chronic (everyone is surprised when i tell them) and its just a 5hr drive to San Diego.

Worst: 119 degree days in the summer, Joe Arpaio, traffic

Best: Pot of gold under every rainbow.
Worst: Drunken leprauchans causing mischief.

Best: Pot of dead cats at the end of the street.
Worst: Drunken old midgets that like to call the cops.
