Bands that were good before they became popular (then sucked)

guys.....he's saying the aquabats are his third favorite band.

not that they suck.

ooooooooooooh I proudly hoist my aquabats membership card to you all then
but honestly since thye dropped the horns I think they are getting worse

I'm not trying to make enemies here, because ever since I was a young atlas, I've had good friends who liked bad religion... But I don't get it.

I'm not very impressed by the lyrics
I'm certainly not impressed by the instrumentation
I'm ambivalent about the dude's voice

Am I missing something? If I thought atomic garden was trite, is there anything i should listen to to change my mind?

I can't believe i never responded. Let me ask you this, do you like pop punk in anyway? If not, I can see why you don't dig on Bad Religion, but Greg Graffin is a pretty awesome lyricist, in my opinion. Have you ever listened to Stranger Than Fiction? It's easily my favorite BR album followed closely by Suffer.

I always found it funny that Good Charlotte had that song "Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous" where they trash the extremely well off and the like. Find it hilarious that one of them is know married to and knocked up Nicole Ritchie the queen of spoiled stupid bitches.

Anyone say Nirvana? Don't get me wrong, Nevermind and In Utero are both solid albums, but they lack the rawness and frustration of Bleach. Nevermind and In Utero probably contain better songs, but their pre-Nevermind work has so much more emotional power.

Yes. They went to shit after so many lineup changes and around the time that album came out with the song that was on GTA Vice City.
