now, if you had joined bluelight when i had joined bluelight, then you would have realized that 98.7% of bluelighters were floridians. bluelight was actually invented for the sake of getting word out about the infamous "brownrave". and it was invented in the den of a central florida home by 7 elite people who are now the "silent partners" of bluelight, after they had finished their second tank of medical grade nitrous.

Close, but the original BR was well after Bluelight started. The first BL party was out in Inverness and was followed by Flower's Garden in Orlando in March 2000, which was my first BL party.

But yeah, in the early days, the VAST majority of BL'ers were in Florida. Between CFL, Jax and Tampa, we ran this bitch! Hahaha. =D

I seem to remember Ohio getting the entire midwest kicked out of the meetups forum for its supreme lameness. ;)

i'd like to take a quick minute and tell everyone how i actually got to go to my first bl meetup:

i had been a lurker for months, and then finally signed up in may 8 years ago. i didn't know anyone. i was dating a kid (who eventually became 'floormat'), and we were at a party at the fairgrounds in volusia county. well, i see a couple of kids leaving and one of them is this big brown dude. i think i remember reading that some bl-er's would be at this party, but it didn't really click until then. all of sudden i realize that it's brownman! (back in 2000, damn near no one had pictures up, but he did) i yell out his name. we all talked for a bit and it turns out "coreo~" is having a party next week. and THAT was my first bl party, in dirty dirty deltona!

it has been downhill ever since. ;)
 
no, I am from the Great White North. I want to be from Florida, or anywhere where the temperature does not go to -40C. Get me outta here.

Sorry if this is an ignorant newbie question, but are there still bluelight parties? If so could someone direct this confused and extremely bored ex-floridian with a link or such?
 
Officially, no. There used to be a meetups forum where we put together bl parties, but that was killed about 5 years ago.

There are still meetups that happen, just not as publicly.
 
true floridians are used to the heat and humidity.....thats why we get paid so damn well to do anything thats outside....
 
im from the suburbs of chicago, but im living in fl. love it!! its fucking december and i walked outside with a tank top on. cant get any better than that.

except for i suspect that the part i live in is really lame, and i need to get out and play hardcore sometime or im gonna go fucking crazy!!

hmmm, we partied in new smyrna at the fairgrounds, at coreo's in deltona, and then also at br2.

did you meet him there?

Ahh, the lost boys! Bluglostix was lots of fun too. I think the last time I saw her was at NYE in Daytona in...errrr.....2003?
 
I doubt the most ACTIVE BL in the states are from FL anymore. Most likely that belongs to Cali or possibly Ohio. (ick!) Hello to those who remember me :)
