Social Are Asexual people seriously considered part of the LGBT+ community?

I think we are being very unscientific when talking about this things (we = our late civilization). That link between asexuality and sexual trauma is real, as real as the opposite: sexual trauma and hypersexualization. So, in that case, would we say that those people are nymphomaniacs? like if it was a sexual gender or preference?
I think the question replies itself...
would be good to set the boundary more precisely, between sexual preference, gender and relationship (often pathological or the result of trauma) with sexual behavior.

I don't know if I would call them nymphomaniacs, I'd probably just use hypersexual. But you're right, hypersexuality has just as strong a link to early childhood sexual trauma as asexuality I would believe. I know in my volunteer work I've done for a decade with children in foster care I've had to deal with a lot of problematic sexualised behaviour from young people.

I think there is very strong evidence linking asexuality with sexual trauma, especially that experienced at younger ages. I'd have to look up the research I previously found on this but lots of asexual people I know have trauma histories.

There is a link between asexuality and trauma, hypersexuality and trauma, paedophilia and trauma... Is there maybe a link between transgenderism and trauma? Lots of trans people I know have trauma histories.

Needing to chop off breasts / penis reads (to me) as mental illness.

They fit into any group really.
I know a few.
Some are conservative and religious
Some are more comfortable around the gay community

Some are just tired of games people play.

There's this idea of what a certain type of person is supposed to act like.

Maybe just meet more people, get to know them , you'll find out things aren't always what they seem.

It's bloody stupid, just more people desperately wanting to be SPECIAL.

For one, most self-declared asexuals aren't even asexual. The term literally means to be without sexual desire or libido. Which IS a historically documented phenomenon, but only truly applies to a tiny minority of humans.

Nowadays those who like to adopt the label try to pretend that there's a 'spectrum' of asexuality which rubbishes the entire concept. You either ARE a sexual being or you're not. It's one of the few things that are really black and white. Only wanting to fuck very occasionally isn't asexual, that's called having a low libido. Only wanting to fuck someone you feel an emotional connection to also isn't asexual, it's a prerequisite for sex for a lot of humans. Oh and if you think you hate sexual activity because you've been sexually assaulted, that's a trauma response.

Recap ; genuine asexuality exists but is extremely rare. Most of what people try to claim as asexuality is rooted in something other than a true lack of sexual drive. And by definition it isn't anything to do with lgbt. It's not a seperate sexuality, it's literally the absence of one. Nobody gets discriminated against or spat on in the street or disowned by their families just because they don't wanna have sex. Shut up already with your oppression olympics bid, you're seriously getting on my wick.

seriously - who's more of a loner than an asexual person?

nobody would be interested enough in each other to even be able to form a movement
That is the stupidest thing I've read on the internet today. All the asexual ppl I know are in relationships. They just don't get it on. Though, a few don't mind doing some sex for their SO.

I know gay men often can't fathom the idea of any kind of community or interpersonal collaboration not based on potential fuckability, but it is a thing people do quite often.

Yeah, well, experts who study human sexuality for a living disagree w you.

Any deviation from the heteronormative sexual imperative falls under lgbt+ because it subverts imposed norms and expectations for how we use our (gendered) bodies and with whom, which definitely includes asexuality.

Given your obvious disdain for ace ppl and clear ignorance on the topic, I'd like to know how you're determining what "most people trying to claim asexuality" is. Are you consulting credible surveys or research data or just going off what you see from teenagers on social media?

And yes asexual people do get harassment. Told there's something wrong w then, that they're broken, that they are genetic dead-ends (def heard that often when I came out as queer) that they can be fixed, they just need the right one to fuck them out of this phase etc etc. And then ofc there's the occasional sexual assault.

Seems like you're the one playing oppression Olympics, trying to qualify suffering of minorities. So fkg what if they aren't getting the same level of shit? That doesn't mean they're accepted in the mainstream or that they don't belong w the rest of us deviants. The hetero patriarchy hates the queers and the ace bc they aren't performing the approved script of man dominating women and impregnating them.

We've got plenty of room for all sexual variants here. Even if they're super annoying. After all, you're in the community =p

Makes no bloody sense. Asexuality by definition is the ABSENCE of any sexual desire, it's not a sexual orientation.
It makes perfect sense. It's a deviation from the heteronormative binary system w its imperative to breed and situate males in power. And it is not approved of by mainstream society. People who don't conform to normative expectations of what they do w their bodies and with whom belong to the community.

Yeah, it's almost as if being a rare variant of human that gets constantly shit on and called predator and endlessly harassed and ridiculed on top of being alienated from your own body might result in some trauma...

LGBTQIA+2s

we getting numbers in there too.

Now how are the B's in the same group as the A's? Seem to have almost polar opposite goals.

OR MAYBE they got it right with the 'all oppressed groups should stick together' Fuck it im an ally

Here is the real test --- Do you accept the Incels? i, aye?

I'm gay and I think the a-sexuals are just too far from any association with the rest of us.

Remember, that some gay groups used to be working together with mature-underage sex advocates, although they have now almost all washed their hands clean of this.

Who decides? Genuine question... I would think there is some kind of large lgbtqtia2s organization that offers some kind of rights protection?

Hey wait a second if I currently A is it a hate crime if I get done up and someone goes to the cops? I may need to choose a letter if so

Dont you dare say I can't change my letter at a later point either that would definitely be a double standard

Not sure if I understand what you said here?

Would you care too elaborate?

Sure --- Who (If anybody/group/organization) decides who is officially a member of the lgbtqtia2s(?) ? Is there indeed a group that offers some kind of civil rights protection to those under said banner?

IF so; is it a hate crime if I get jumped and than those ppl call the cops and I gotta spin it, AND do successfully? If so I may have to declare myself temporarily A -- err committed to A NOW lol...

Logically it cannot be wrong for me to change which letter I belong to (If any) as sexual preferences can change.....and saying they cannot would be a giant double standard to the community.

if there are extra rights available I want them despite not being particularly the demographic they want to protect lol

Nobody.

Moreover most traditional LGB's don't understand the other letters, and I fear the most staunch transsexual advocates who are not themselves transgenders also don't understand any of the letters, including the G that started it all.

The attention and goodwill from the Left is noted, however, the whole movement just seems to have merged into something else.

Damn okay. I honestly believed there was a larger protective group watching out for all of those peoples rights....and advocate there should be as ya'll seem particularly persecuted right now.

That is interesting they really make it sound like you guys are a coordinated movement (Which was suppose to scare me I suppose) which I thought was good....

There's even homophobes saying we are going to hell on megaphones at most prides
Now i know a lot of them are genuine homophobes. But some of them aren't and try to say its a sin and that your going to hell to genuinely help you and what' s the harm in at least trying to help you as long as they aren't saying blatantly fucked up or canonically incorrect things. And just because you have gay thoughts dosen't mean you sinned, its what you do with those gay thoughts. And if you genuinely don't think anyone of the opposite gender is attractive, maybe you just haven't found your soulmate yet. I'm not trying to hate on the lgbtqs but not all of them say fucked up things, those are fake christans, a real christan still accepts people outside the religion. Because god gives you a choice and dosen't wanna make you a mindless robot who never sins and only loves him. That's not true love with humans

If I were to get a flashmob screaming at you about what we perceived as your sins --- you would be pissed no matter how we worded it and what the intent behind it was?

The fake christians out # the real christians and that is a problem. I member in elementary school some religious groups shoved pictures of dead fetuses in pamphlet form one day when school let out ---

As a catholic I will say christianity is probably more toxic than men right now. Didn't the pope basically say the gay thing was a non issue?

I am sure there are some well intentioned people in those crowds formed of ill intent
