Amsterdam 2009 - who's going? (ver. EADD)

im going across to amsterdam 16th july for three days and september 18-20, any1 gona be there then? on the 19th sept. im going to go see tiesto at evolution, any1 have any info about that event? i cant really find anyway other then the radio 538 website.

anyone got train timetable from central station to where dance valley is on

theres a slight chance that i might go straight there after arriving in holland, wont get to the site until round 5 or 6pm though i dont think but fuck it, 7 hours of trance is more than enough lol..

Trains & Travel

Amsterdam Central to Haarlem Spaarnwoude is on line 10 on the Oude Lijn (Amsterdam - Haarlem - Leiden - Den Haag - Rotterdam) route. Trains are every 30 minutes.

Same Day Return Journey costs EURO 6.90

Way back -
Depart 0.20 Haarlem Spaarnwoude - track 1
Arrive 0.33 Amsterdam Centraal - track 4b
- this is the last train back!

jst booked hostel, its in the RLD and works out at 99 euros for three nights - for a bunkbed
 
The hostel prices are fucking absurd for that weekend. Prices jumped from ~$25 on Thursday to ~$60-70 over the weekend. I found a spot (near vondelpark) for $42.85/person/day for a week between two people (single beds, private room, shared bathroom). I heard that the place wasn't the most comfortable, but the price was right. There was a place 30 min outside of the city that was cheaper, but I didn't want to work that hard to get into town or back to bed.

i got sat/sun/mon nights in a very good well known hostel in the very centre for 99 euro

not staying in private room this time tho, gona rough it and sleep in a dorm.. first time i done it but i dont really mind, ill be too stoned etc anyway so i shud sleep fine
 
It suddenly occurred to me earlier that this thing isn't some inderterminate future event anymore, it's next week. Seven fuckin' days and I have precisely sod all organised. Had a look in my bank today and there's enough to cover the flight in it. Doesn't mean I can actually afford it, but I can buy now and worry later I suppose. Why do I have a harem full of beloved wifeys but not a single secretary to my name? Organising stuff :|

I suppose the flight and train tickets are relatively simple online. Assuming such places take debit cards and not just credit cards which I presume they do. Better bloody had do anyway 8o:D

Then there's accomodation... which has possible possibities. Possibly... Most importantly, cash for drugs 'n' booze 'n' odd 'n' sods. I really hope this magically transforms into a last minute wonder :|

Hostels.com is worth a look for hostels if you want a dorm, or can get 4 people together.

I really wanted a private room, and I couldn't find anything that was much cheaper than the cheap hotels: I would have had to pay the whole price of a double room, which worked out at about 300 euros for the five days. I'm not paying much more than that for the hotel (and now I'm splitting that :)).

Shambles: you must come, you must! We'll work it out somehow.
 
in the other thread I proposed Nemo as the meeting place, but I didn't really get a response.. should be a fun place to hang out... A 17 year old French girl committed suicide by jumping from the NEMO building and mainly because of her almost all psycho-active shrooms are forbidden in NL now.

You can chill at the rooftop there (free entrance) and it's a few minutes walking from Amsterdam Central Station, Red Light district is even closer.
Nice view, science museum located inside the building, replica of a 1749 ship, easy to reach with public transport, located in a central place.

IJ: Had a look at that hostels site the other day but I don't know actually know four people in the real world to split such a thing with and am ever hopeful that something a bit more enticing than some horrid dorm will fall into my lap. 300 euros is more money than I have to cover everything once the flight's bought so private rooms and hotels are somewhat out of my league ;)

Last (and only other) time I spent a few days in Holland I slept in the train station waiting room so there is always a cheaper option if it's truly necessary, but have my sights and hopes set just a tad higher at the moment :D

If (when) the flight is booked then I will be there cos there's no way flights are non-refundable so missing it is simply not an option - the rest will have to look after itself =D

Mind Movie: "shrooms anyone?" It goes without saying =D

Still available "under the counter," I believe but those others ("Philospher's Stones?") are still legal, no? I think MDMA will be top of many a BLer's shopping list but sadly not even Dutch headshops are quite that good 8):\:D

the place we are meeting up in is OK but i dont think its somewhere that everyone should park for the day, its not THAT exciting!

The ship does look cool %) I've PM'd the meet up details to him and like you say, we can move places. There's quite a crowd now, so we'll need space! =D
