Amsterdam 2009 - who's going? (ver. EADD)

oh sorry didnt know the place was private. Its just a lame tourist place judging from the websites (with their stupid souvenirs)

anywayz repost of my last post:
  • watch out for MCPP pills, the market has been flooded with crap pills (mcpp and other stuff like mephedrone) and prices for real mdma skyrocketed. Even a lot of dutch people have trouble finding good pills. Only 44 % of the pills in the market are mdma according to test-services, this used to be much higher.

what do you mean with strict? I guess its the same as the UK. And no they are not widely available at all. I recently saw on pillreports some 2c-b pills (2c-b is illegal in NL). Smartshops will not sell chemicals openly, sometimes they will sell it in the form of a room odoriser, but not very openly.
I also know a really nice smartshop were you can chill in a very friendly atmosphere, they dont have alcoholic drinks (only tea), but they sell stuff like mushrooms.

Aye there's been a a good few posts some pages back about the meet up etc and it's only sensible to keep such a gathering discreet and the actual details private etc. Sure you know what I mean ;)

I'm thinking of doing Wenesday to Friday, bu don't want to smoke weed or spend much cash, shall see. Lots more needs doing . . .
 
meet up is on sunday the 12th though

or saturday 11th if theres a few people around amsterdam/dance valley

Can cope with light rain :) Then again I won't be stomping in a field :D

it's been randomly downpouring pretty much once a day for the past month here. the weather is fucked!

Aye, I know you're right and it's changed again today I see :)

It's the DV wellies situation that's eating me - I'm carrying on hand luggage. Nae room for that kinda footwear, if it's bucketing I'll just have to buy new ones there :|

Chrissie I don't think you can get Dance Valley tickets at the gate. Also read some stuff in a forum about the security being quite tight, everyone gets "patted down" and they confiscate all liquids - some guy got his spray bottle of sunscreen taken off him last year. Also of note was someone saying bags of weed were confiscated but ready rolled joints allowed in :|

Appears, if it's the same access arrangements as previous years that it's a 30 min walk to get into the site from the bus drop off, the bus 20 mins from the train station and the train 10 mins from Dam.

Not that I was planning high heels like =D
 
you're no gonna need wellies in amsterdam lol. just take some trainers, you'll be fine. even if it's a bit muddy at dance valley it's no gonna be like a glastonbury style mud pit.

who's actually playing at dance valley? any1 decent? or is it all transh shupershtar teishto type bollocks.

you need to go to the maddame tussauds wax work place in amsterdam. theres a waxwork of tiesto! lol. i'll give some1 20 quid if they chop its fucking head off! there's also a moving waxwork with a wee story etc of king billy! lol. that was a bit surreal. (i guess to the dutch king billy is just prince william of orange & not a figurehead for all sorts of protestant bigoted shite) i wish i still had the pictures from when we were in amsterdam. we climbed about behind the bob marley waxwork & i got my photo taken with my arm round him & a big joint hanging out my mouth before some dutch man came & told us to get away from it lol.

Oddly nobody seems to have mentioned the smoking ban (on tobacco) which has been in force since 1st July, 2009.

I believe this means we are banned from mixing any tobacco with our weed and/or hash so instead are forced to smoke pure joints.

How will we survive? Lol.

its not really enforced, just be a little bit discreet when rolling spliffs if youre putting baccie in
plus, most coffee shops sell a non tobacco smoking mix now as well anyway

I do genuinely prefer spliffs with some baccy in them so this news puts a smile on my face!

Also everyone, transport to/from dance valley to/from Amsterdam news:

by public transport

take the train to amsterdam sloterdijk railway station and follow the sings to the shuttle busses that will take you to the festival grounds. bus tickets will be available at the point of departure and will cost €5,- for a roundtrip. remember to leave the festival in time to catch the last train departing from the sloterdijk railway station.

seeing as no1 replied to my question about the dance valley line-up i found it myself. not very impressed at all tbh. i'd be interested to hear what dj's you lot are going for, or you just going for the sake of a dance festival? at least you won't get the sort of crowd of dafties that that kind of line-up would attract if it was held round here
