His hit & miss with me, I know him & Townes got on great, Hopkins was the first guy to ever get Townes high on weed

Some of his stuff is amazing but other stuff isn't my cuppa tea. My heart is in Blues in the South Mississippi style like son House.

We're the only ones who know this music well sadly @Jerry Atrick which says so much imho.
It's such a sad thing in this day & age of the internet nobody else hunts this music down, I like all kinds of stuff from Industrial Techno to Black Metal but this "proper" American music hits a spot nothing else can.

Indeed. I like a wide variety of music as well, from Pete Seeger to Pantera and many more in between. I think our friend Townes summed it up best when he said, "There's only two types of music, the blues and zippadeedoodah."

Finally! Gave the video a whirl tonight. I wish there was a full live video version of this concert available. I've been a fan of Austin City Limits my entire life.

That is a good version of Dollar Bill Blues. A little faster than other versions but I like it. Clean guitar picking as always. Pretty good set list, thanks for posting!
