Acid blotter that is DOB. Lab analyzed. (w/ pics and spectra)

That might not be a good idea. People have actually died ingesting large amounts of dob.
 
Are there any confirmed deaths from DOB?
In Pihkal Shulgin mentions one incident where a couple actually insufflates a LARGE amount of DOB accidently (the thought it was MDA/MDMA). One of them dies, but the other survives. It would be likely that the amount they insufflated would be atleast 50mg each, then it would probably atleast take 100mg orally to kill someone. That's shitloads of DOB.
 
So all that happens is that the dodgy little bastards trying to pass off other chems as LSD ...

Does anyone have a source for the fact DOx compounds glow under UV? I've not heard this before, and I'm not sure why they would. And couldn't the color of the glow be used as a pretty good field test assuming they are different enough?

Well I just tried it last night, to confirm my theory, and it did glow a faint yellow. The DOB blotter that is. I don't have any acid for comparison, alas.

Regardless, it's a poor way to test for acid.
 
As a field test I still think it could be useful since it's supposed to fluoresce blue-white which the DOB didn't seem to you say.

Still not definative but probably useful I'd say. And did it seem like the DOB was actuallying fluorescing? Or was it just kinda glowly like things are under UV? I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just curious and I can't figure out why it would fluoresce. Often you need several aromatic rings, as in lsd and harmaline.

ooo shit i know someone who has a few ten packs of those and some other ones that are perf and thick as well on one sidethere is blue white and green like balls that spirall all over the ten pack and on the back it is green with separate designs on each hit the designs are like circles. heard they took a long time to hit for both but were the same chemical wich they told me was lsd but from what u say fairy is a lie huh?

Actually, if it were real LSD it would glow a very bright white...unmistakable if you've ever seen it before. The blacklight test is an excellent way for the layman to test liquid without a full laboratory. The trick is to see what LSD actually looks like, because once you see how bright (and white) it glows there is no mistaking it in the future. Bunk liquid (no matter what it is) will look yellow under a blacklight.

AGREED, something fucked up is going on here. the acid i got originated from dallas and this guy had a few thousand hits. i made a post about it here http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?threadid=207434

i took two hits and it was very bitter, and the come-up was about 4 hours. i was awake 25 hours after ingesting and noticed a weird undertone that i just figured was lsd. i laughed so much my stomach muscles cramped up and at the end of my trip my whole body was pretty much exhausted. it was a 'sunshine' blotter, i'm starting to think it wasn't acid
 
I dont think anybody should necessarily be disappointed if they go to buy 'acid' and discover that what they have is dob and not lsd. I just think that the people selling the blotter need to be more descriptive to make the customer aware of what it is they are buying.
 
Wow, that is truly crazy as hell. I recieved some of it and buyer said it was def cid but was diff. I was kinda suspicous so i got rid of it, 2 of the people liked it alot but said it lasted way longer than they expected, and one of my friends tried it and had a rather bad experience..... I feel pretty bad now but don't think I should tell them it wasn't after the fact.

yeh sunshines are known to not be LSD.

well i dont know about u but i would be really upset if i was planning to buy acid and instead got something else. Alot of times the drug dealers themselves dont know whats layed on the blotter. these days its safest to just buy blotter that is known to be LSD.
