Acid blotter that is DOB. Lab analyzed. (w/ pics and spectra)

I tested these blotters and knew for sure it wasn't acid. I first suspected 5-meo-amt because all my friends told me you could taste the blotter. After I dosed up, I knew it wasn't 5-meo-amt because of the duration and the way it made me feel. My first suspection was DOB, but I thought it lasted a whole day so I really did not know what to think until I found these pictures online. It was sold as acid, but I doubt the person selling it even knows its DOB. Everyone who took it said it felt like acid, but different. The body load was painful for me and the trip lasted around 14 hours. I was not back to baseline until I went to sleep that night. It sucks that these blotter are not LSD because Im sure it is possible to OD on DOB, but I think it would take several blotters. I notmally take 4+ blotters but I was suspicious about these so I only took 2, which was plenty. One friend of mine took 3 and tripped for over 16 hours. He said he felt like he could have taken 4 safely, but I'm sure there is a limit with these. The comeup was about 3 hours and it went in phases throughout the night. I think DOB is a pathetic substitute for LSD and should never be marketed as LSD. Im glad I got to try these blotters, but DOB is way too harsh on my body for me to want to dose up again. Physically, I felt like I had just gotten in an accident. I had several cramps throughout the night and even a few muscle spasms. Be safe with these.

Personally I think psychedelic amphetamies aren't as good as LSD. So if I found out my blotters were DOB I would be a bit pissed, because I'd have to find some friends who might be interested or throw them away.

No more psychedelic amphetamines for *my* body. You have to understand that some people are more picky about which psychedelics they will eat than others. For some people certain psychedelics are valuable tools while others are a complete waste of time.

Having said that, I'm surprised to see a number of drug-warriors-in-training here on Bluelight.

The blotters have been analyzed, pictures taken, so now we know what it is. So the next step is grab our pitchforks and storm Dallas because some guy there put something besides LSD on blotter paper?

Puh-leeeeese. Leave that kind of gangster attitude to the people who are distributing the *real* LSD 8)
 
I've gotten similat bunk tabs in Dallas, they looked to be the same thickness and had faint striped on the back but the front was way diffrent, skinny lines making a vortex. But it had the nasty taste the weird muscle feelings, leaving me very dissapointed.
There is some plain white un perferated going around that is very very clean.
 
Well I do like dob but I am not sure that I am in agreement with people buying it who think they are getting LSD. It helps me feel a connection with less well-of people who dont have life so easy.
 
well a friend just got "acid" blotters, he says that eating a quarter or a third of one blotter is enough for an intense lsd like trip lasting for 2 days, and he says strangely there's quite an erotic component to it (he often trips very long with acid like 2 days, but he says he never feel erotic stuff as acid uses to take his mind away from sex). Other strange thing: the blotter has absolutely no taste and it doesn't feel "acidic" on the tongue (meaning it doesn't spike the tongue when put on it)...acid usually does, and RC phenethylamines are also quite acidic (burn nose quite bad when insufflated) so this seems weird to me.

I'm quite curious to try these, could possibly be some "FLY" or "DOx" compound...if it is I guess I would recognize it as I have some extended experience with 2C's so I'm used to recognize phenethylamines side effects.

Isn't there a test you can soak a blotter with?

I'm guessing there's nothing to verify LSD, as quantities are so small. Like something to verify (methoxy)amphetamines or PEA's?
 
Fairynymph: do you know the amount of DOB on each blotter?

I have access to these in Colorado and it sounds like 1-2 hits is about the right dose from peoples reports
 
The amount on each blotter was not determined. Based on my friend and others who have experience with this blotter as well as DOB, the amount has been estimated at about .75 mg per blotter. Of course, that's still a rough estimate.
 
That seems like a fair assessment to make... .75 mg is what I would have guessed too.

There is a test using thin-layer chromatography (TLC) that can confirm the presence of LSD to a fairly high degree of certainty. Detection is with either long or short wavelength UV light, ....a simple blacklight works. Ethanol/water is a good mobile phase and detection is in the range of just a few micrograms. A mere sliver off of a blotter hit is all that should be required and it should eliminate something like 5-meo-amt or DOB.

But no, if you're looking for something like a drop test to put on blotter, it's unlikely to be specific enough.
 
LOL oh my i took one hit at a bay area party and i couldn't stop laughing... everyone looked so retarded dancing it was awesome.... then i came home and played with the shadows.. dead babies melting in the fireplace, aliens outside the house, my friends conspiring in the other room... definately not something for everyone, however i'm kind of twisted and i really enjoyed it.

btw it took about 4 hours for it to kick in...
 
^ I don't know if it's just me, but the above description of the effects doesn't sound like 0.75mg (750ug) of DOB. I'm actually quite surprised that a blotter would only contain that sort of dose as 750ug of DOB for me would just consist of lots of smiling with the beginning of colour fringes, but no real strong psychological effect (of a psychedelic nature). Personally, I'd say that you need around 1.5mg before you get to a full blown psychedelic headspace. The problem with DOB is that once you get above 2.5mg, the physical symptoms go from annoying all the way through to bloody unpleasant - all centred around muscular aches & pains.
 
hmm i had taken 3 x pills 2 hours after taking the hit.. i believe that effected my trip
saturday around 2pm i took 3 hits without any other substances, within an hour i was already starting to trip out. I didn't stop hallucinating until after 6am.

I was given one of these today, Damn! After he said it took awhile to come on to, I realized it couldent be LSD. So here I am Looking at a picture of it on BL!

I was really hoping it was one of those really potent blotters going around.

Never tried DOB before, now I can. Thanks guys/gals for identifying this impostor!
