just knowing that you have access to benzos takes some of the psychological cravings away like what ollie said.
You don't have 2 take em but knowing they are availible defo has an effect , well 4 me anyhow.
 
Does clonazepam have any useful hypnotic effect at all?

Just started shift work and been having problems with insomnia. I've been taking up to 4mg doses - it does a great job of relieving any anxiety - but I still can't get no sleep!?

I know its not one of the more hypnotic benzos, but considering its relative strength I would have thought it would do the job.

So, a couple of questions for you benzo experts:

How does it rate for hypnotic potential on the list of common benzos?

And just for comparison, how much clonazepam do you reckon you'd need to take to equal the hypnotic potential of 10mg diazepam?

I found clonazepam almost stimulating as opposed to hypnotic

Hmm, that's a bitch (for my situation anyway). Maybe it's only worked for me in the past cos anxiety was stopping me from sleeping.

Might have to get some lorazepam in, that used to knock me out pretty well.

Seems a bit ridiculous taking 4mg clonaz plus, just to get some sleep.

(It's proper brand name stuff, just in case you were wondering.)

edit: I wonder if I could get hold of midazolam, that would probably do the trick! Anyone ever tried it?

temazepam are my choice for benzo sleepers (I find zopiclone and zolpiderm even better) nitrazepam works as well but leaves me groggy as fuck the next morning.

I mentioned to my doc that I wished they did 1mg tabs of Diazepam as it would make the end of my tapering so much easier :)

Temaz isn't doing shit for me at the moment. And I picked up some Nitraz tonight and it didn't do much :(
I dunno what to do in that department, as I do need a Benzo for the night but anything stronger / longer-acting is out of the question.

Yup yup man. Makes me feel really, really weird.
I also get the "Exploding Head Syndrome" from it too - I'll be lying down, about to go to sleep then a massive wall of excruciating silence will smash me across the head.

Also it's extremely short-acting. I think the half-life is only 2-4hrs or something like that.

Yeah, my benzo choices are pretty limited, only dealing with UK sources - trying to avoid customs for the while.

Can't find any temazepam, and I'm naturally very groggy in the morning so I don't think I'll bother with nitrazepam :\.

Never got on with zopiclone and never bothered trying zolpiderm -assumed it would be very similar, but maybe I'm wrong?

Think lorazepam will have to do.

eta: I've always thought it was strange that zolpiderm is class c without a script, while zopiclone isn't controlled, what's so special about zolpiderm?

Unfortunately I've no way of buying it :\
Sodding local bank closed and they said they they wouldn't be likely to give me a credilly card due to being on income support.

Ah well, I'll cope somehow. I'll just have to be upfront with my doctor when I have the balls to do so.

Alright dude if your doc won't do you the diaz mixture the 2mg tabs have got a mark 4 splitting em . i get 42 of em prn for panic attacks n the like they are more pyshological than anything tbh.
 
think im gonna have a benzo day today, ritalin takes it out of ya, but my tolerance is so high i need like 70mg diazepam. Wish i had some xanax/clonaz.

Zolpidem is seen to have some recreational value. People actually take it to hallucinate. I think it's bigger (and more controversial) in the US than over here. I'd wager that has a lot to do with its status, besides any inherent dangers in the drug itself.

I experimented with a bit of someone's script once and was able to get a nice 'odd' feeling with a bit of weed but I fell asleep before anything happened. Bloody typical.

^yeah brimz its easter weekend so i got 5 days of meth and next weeks supply of diazepam. zopiclone is a strange drug just got out psych hospital and its virtually all they use for a sleeper these days.
personally dont find zopiclone recreational really, but they do knock u out but leave a snide metallic taste in the following morning.I didn't know they weren't controlled but im pretty sure their not classed as a benzodiazepine as such thats why their not class C. I think they were marketed as a less abusable sleeper to replace temazepam , which is why their so hard to find on the street these days.

Zopiclone is controlled i think, its just got a weird loophole like tramadol that allows you to legally import up to 3 months supply of it.
Zopis do help with sleep but the taste is awful, got some pure powder once and even putting it in caps, for at least 2 months after if i put my finger on my desk and licked it, i'd get that nasssty taste, even after cleaning the desk multiple times. And its not like i spilled it or owt!

But its not a bad alternative to benzos if you can live with the taste in the morning, try use em to get high and it'l just make you into a zombie literally, i spent 3 hours just zoned out staring at my my wall once when took a couple, not recreational at all
