Gabapentinoids The Lyrica (Pregabalin) Mega Thread v 2.0

So, I took regular dose of neurontin today (900mg). Before hopping in bed I took 75mg of Lyrica. It made me feel pretty good, so I took another 75mg capsule. Very hypnotic, no anxiety, I feel sloppy and tired. However my pain is gone and I don't feel any anxiety. I think my tolerance to neurontin has helped with the adverse effects I experienced before from Lyrica.

Uh-oh, I might be the newest Lyrica fan boy. I feel pretty damn good at 150mg. :) here we go.......

I guess you were just very sensitive to it. I'm glad it's working for you, but if you need it for pain use it only when you NEED to. Otherwise your tolerance will skyrocket and the pain will reappear and you will NEED it and have nothing to help (or you will get something else to help and repeat the aformentioned process). Good luck and when you feel relief or feel good don't (don't don't don't) up the dose.

Oh and also your anxiety may have been caused by you being around people feeling 'sloppy.' And now you tried it in a comfortable environment and you aren't worried about what others may think or see. Just a thought.

I am using it in combination with my oxycontin. I take Lyrica 600mg for three days, oxycontin for 3 days and then back to the Lyrica. It really works for my back pain, not as good as the oxy but it does work and using it will keep me from using the oxy a lot. I don't really run a risk of addiction since I can go cold turkey from oxy for weeks and not feel any withdrawl after years of using it, but the less I ask my doctor for oxy the easier my life is. Getting opiates out of him is like pulling teeth.
 
Wait, lyrica can only be absorbed 300mg at a time? I thought this was only gabapentin wtf. I thought 600mg dose at once was pretty good.. I take 1800mg of neurontin every other day (6 doses 1 hour apart) and 1 mg of klonopin the days I don't take gaba and now I got a script for lyrica.

enjoy it while it lasts. stuff was the best thing that ever happened to me and then it just made me feel worse. so incredibly saddening. not to mention MAMMOTH weight gain and extreme reduction in cognition and even motor skills. i just had to stop taking it. but once in a while i would take 1gram at night and feel so good the next day; social, productive, just like adderall, xanax, and prozac in one. man i miss the shit out of the lyrica daze........now its klonopin and redbull. not the same, not the same at all. however, im not talking to myself all the time and getting flustered easily....but that motivation and wanting to talk....man i miss it. my girl does too.
 
Ok, so im looking to try some of this for the first time maybe today or in a couple of days. I was wondering what the best starting dose (for recreational use) would be. I am experienced with a few benzo's + opiates and use to abuse Trammadol quite a lot. I have also done GBL almost everyday for the past 8months and on and off for a year before that, will this affect dosage at all? I would like to get "High!" but am not sure if i will have a big supply of this. I would consider "High!" to be slumped up against a wall on the floor laughing my ass off and drooling!

Oh yeah and what are the top 3 most efficient ROA's? Would it be possible to dissolve this in water and drink it for a faster come up?

just got a prescription of lyrica, can i still smoke up whilst im on it?
I cant really abuse it as i get my pills checked every day so is there any euphoric combos i could try?
 
Right. So i decided to take some Lyrica 50mg's roughly based on some reports i read. I took 450mg's in total and snorted 2 of the pills, the effects were weak by my standards of trying to get high, and i was quite dissapointed, i ended up buying some beers as i read a few cans can really potentiate the effects, it didnt do too much but it was quite ok after 4 cans. im looking to take some by either bombing them in a rizzla or dissolving them in water next time, however i do not have high hopes anymore. (someone reply!!)

There's no reason to snort Lyrica, the oral BA is almost 100%.

all I can offer you is my personal experience man, but lemme say this - for better or for worse (and its sheer strength can sometimes be overwhelming!), when I smoke herb after my lyrica has kicked in, depending on the dose of lyrica I feel exactly like I'm candyflipping and the E just peaked. My friend and I went to grab a case of beer. He left the freezer locker without my noticing, and I literally began to believe that I was lost on the moon. All of a sudden, iwas at the desk with my friend holding out my credit card to the cashier. Really unexpected, far out experience. If you're intending to experience it, I'll admit it can be really incredible, novel and, at times, supernatural. Just don't overdo it like I apparently did unintentionally.

while I wouldn't say cadyflipping peak it is a verrry interesting experience. a half a dozen times I have had out-of-body type experiences on neurontin or lyrica...especially with a well timed bowl/klonopin and valerian I think it feels a lot like a decent opiate too for that hour-2 that can be amazing. like maybe not IV hydromorphone but something good. and of course sometimes if feels lime AMP without bad side effects (also can make me last for an hour like AMP). oh and usually all in the same "session" lol, cool drugs IMO.

anyway I just got prescibed lyrica as well so I'm going to try taking 400mg x6 neurontin doses then take my normal 600mg lyrica dose at the end. as usual 48 hours since I last had either. oh also 1-2mg of kpin (48 hours since but had 3mg) and my daily 150mg of bupropion. OH, BTW. I am finally not depressed, don't have sleeping problems, quit smoking and am making great choices in my life.

finally one of these weird drugs that is tolerated by my doctors and really helps me function and keeps me from illegal drugs. took 10 years. would like to get off the kpin though.

I wrote this last year, over in TDS.

Opiate WD treatment and cure with Lyrica

Two months after quitting all opiates entirely, I tapered off Lyrica over 10 days. I felt a little run down for a day or two, but that's the extent of any Lyrica WD I felt.
Since then, I've had no "PAWS", and have experienced absolutely no desire or cravings for either opiates or Lyrica since.
I don't know if its directly related, but even the thought of doing opiates makes my stomach involuntarily turn, and my head reels from remembering the feeling of junk sickness with almost total recall. It's like the ultimate aversion therapy.
 
The only problem I've found with Lyrica , is that it makes my eyelids swell, and makes my eyes blood shot - that is in doses of 600mg upwardsl. Below, that, I don't have the same problem. It also, at these doses, really affects my eyesight in a negative way.

Glad to hear it worked for opiate withdrawal. I've found it useful in getting of lengthy booze binges too.
 
I took 700mg pregablin this morning and so far i started to feel really chilled, and still do, but ive started getting ALOT of involentry muscle movements, my legs are twitching everywhere and i can feel my muscles contracting (mainly in my legs), im a bit worried im gonna seizure.

I really like the drunken off balance and chilled out mild europhia, but the twitching/muscle movements make me really paranoid, are these common on lyrica, should i stop worrying im goong to seizure? Thamls

What happened in the end? did the twitching stop?

im thinking about doing 700-800 mg next time as 500mg just didnt get me where i wanted to be.
 
it gradually stopped, when i take lower doses like 300mg or so for anxiety etc, no twitching, only high dose, anyone know why?

done 300mg today, then redosed another 300mg later and no twitching, its great for anxiety.

But high doses i was twtiching and spazzing out everywhere was horrible.

I had 2400mg the other night before bedtime, and had amazing dreams, but was a bit twitchy and anxious the next morning. I've been taking 1000mg every twelve hours since, and have had boundless energ, but yet can sleep without any problem.

The downside is that I find that after a couple of days the dose tolerance goes very high. Not sure why this is. I'll try the lower dose of 300 to see if that helps for the anxiety. I've always been so anxious, I take the full prescribed 600mg per day for anxiety twice a day!, and dose around another 600 during the day, at regular intervals. A the the end of the day, my memory is shot and I find it difficult to walk - a bit like my legs are prosthetics rather than my own limbs!

Embarassing walking around like a drunk, with red eyes, but sober :o
 
ps - I never get twitching on pregabalin, but I get regular myoclonic jerks on baclofen, which are VERY noticeable. I drop cups of tea, coffee, coke etc. I now have to make a conscious effort if I have to hold something and do it with both hands.
 
Lyrica

Greeting my fellow Homo sapiens.:)

My shrink has just put me on Lyrica and it's friggin awesome.

Anyone else gobbled any of these bad boys?
