hey skagkush, i think im pretty much in the same boat as you. ive decreased my suboxone intake down to; 1mg doses, twice a day. i snort mine though. i think i am getting a little euphoria too. definitely some energy, and my cigarettes taste better, lol.

JAMES BROWN
if anything, should i increase, or decrease by .5mg to experience more euphoria? like i said, i take a 1mg dose at a time (twice a day) = so a total of 2mg a day. and i snort mine.

also james, did you jump off suboxone at .5mg doses? no WD? im constantly wondering if i will be able to get off suboxone with no WD. and if so, how small of doses am i going to have to taper down too.

lastly what is PAWS??? never heard of it

CAPTAIN.HEROIN

"26 mcg = 0.026 mg. How many doses are in 1mg? 38.46
How many doses in one 8mg pill? A little over 307 doses."

You take very very small doses of suboxone. Is this necessary to get off suboxone, with out feeling any WD? or do you do it for other reasons?

will i have to get down to this small of doses before i can jump off suboxone with out any WD?

yes for sure.....im positive of that.... although is varies per person......

remember 1.5mg

im a little confused. are you saying, 1.5mg per day total (which would be only .5mg doses)?
or 1.5mg doses at a time?

sorry, i know that less is more, im just not sure what you mean when you say 1.5

hey thanks Skag for taking care of that uneeded BS a while ago. I wasnt here to respond back to him. Its cool you got my back.

And homey....yea, pretty much what SkagKush said ......but also, if you only have negative things to say than only post PM's to people letting them know your issue with them and why you feel that way. I can understand how not everyone will feel the same way about things as I do, and I sometiems dont feel the same way about things than other people, but I am atleast able to act like an adult and treat others with respect. Im sry you think im arrogant but I dont really know where you get that from. Especially since you just asked for advice and I was the first one to give it to you.....no, wait, I was the ONLY one to give it to you....but if you wanna treat me with disrespect for some weird ass reason, then go ahead, but keep it out of the open forums and in PM's.

do you think .5mg doses will provide more euphoria than 1mg doses?

I would basically listen to the advice Skag has given you this entire time I havent been online. He seems to be spot on.

Bupenorphine transplants?

My mom said she saw in the news on AOL news that people who are opiate dependent have now the option of getting a large quanity of bupeonrphine transplanted and time realeased depending on there dose with re transplants every couple of years.

Thoughts?....would YOU have it done?

Yeah they do it with a lot of drugs, the pill for women, naloxone for cronically relapsing opiate patients and this is the first I've heard of it but bupe.

No, i think philip there was a little confused. I dont know if you know this but he was talking about the moderator Captain.Heroin. who is currently taking like 26 mcg doses every day. Im not sure if you know about the Captain.....but I think Phillip was just asking him if he was taking such tiny doses in order to get off of suboxone more easily.....and the answer to the question(if i may speak in the Captains absence)....is no not really. Him taking those tiny doses do, in fact, allow him to quit much easier than he would at a much higher dose.....but if he was just going down to that tiny of a dose in order to make quitting subs easier, thn he would have quit by now....hes been at that dose for quite some time now, and hes actually been in the microgram range now for even longer.
The main reason, I believe, why the Captain keeps taking such tiny doses of suboxone IV every day, is because it is giving him many beneficail benefits at that dos level. He has talked about how it makes him feel better than any other dose he has been on, also, it acts as an anti-depressant to him I believe, and if im not mistaken, he says that he uses it as a medication to help with his ADD(or ADHD, not sure which one). Even though bupe is not prescribed for that reason, the Captain has found a way to use suboxone so that it seems to help him in that aspect.
Does that clarify things for you?

BTW....all of what I said about Captain.Heroin I learned by speaking to him directly in PM's, or by speaking with him in the open forums.....and there is always a possibility that I got somethign not quite right here, so I jsut wanted to remind you that these ARE NOT the remarks of the Captain himself, and do not directly reflect his views since he is not here typing this. But I do think, from how much I have spoken with him, that I knew what I was talking about. Im sure when the Captain reads this he will come in and say just about everything I said, and more, but in a more intellectual fashion.....I was just trying to explain his "situation" while he wasnt here to do it for himself.

what about PAWS, what is it?

PAWS is "post acute withdrawal syndrome"....its basically the withdrawal effects you get AFTER acute withdrawals(AWS). PAWS are the longer lasting withdrawals that have alot more to do with mental issues than physical ons.

http://www.addictionsandrecovery.org/post-acute-withdrawal.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post–acute_withdrawal_syndrome

^^^those are both very good websites to learn more about PAWS. Happy Reading.

*FYI....it has also been talked about ALOT here on BL, so you could do a search if you want...you just might end up with more results than you can handle...lol.

he doesnt want to jump off as it still gets him high

I would say its a little more complicated than that, but yes, thats probably one aspect to it. But it definitely does othre things for him as well....its not like hes just an addict, using the suboxone to get higih all the time even though he wants to quit(or knows he needs to quit). Basically, what im saying is that he's in control of the situation.

i wonder if the change is testosterone levels affect the fighting in this thread, although seriously back in the day my friend and i would be perfect, go get some suboxone, do it, a little while later we'd be kicking the shit out of each other over such tiny stuff,

im not sure what you mean. what change in testosterone levels?

opiates suppress testosterone quite massively.

huh, I never noticed.

but anyway, jamtasticX....thats making the assumption that everyone in this thread is taking opiates. Whichn I doubt is true. I for one havent taken any opiates in a while.
Also, what fighting are you talking about?....ooohh you mean that post by homey? yea, i gottchya...i was confused for a minute there.
