Didn't feel much of a buzz at all, Felt a little relaxed but nothing some tobacco wouldn't give me. I'm going to try again in a week at 11 Nurofen Plus tabs with CWE and see how I go. Just need to get my extraction technique working properly as I've never done one before~

Also, try and use generics like Chemist's Own rather then Nurofen. They dissolve a lot easier.
 
How you feeling after a week clean MrBlonde? Hope it is all working out for you and you are starting to feel better.

I know once I got off opiates I just felt great, so much control and I had a lot more time to get things done that I had originally put off.
 
Looks like they have finally pulled all the 100 pill bottles off the shelves for good. The one and only chemist i got em from few days ago states they sold out when they had at least 20 bottles a day or 2 b4.

I'm wondering if WA pharmacys have even heard about the new laws (Of course they have). Not one has said anything to me about the new laws and all of them have had either the 75 or 96 boxes for sale.

The one i visit had the < 50 boxes selling. I asked some about the laws and they defiantly know about it and asked if i take it regularly :-P
 
How about taking out the lethal and pointless ibuforen..... wouldn't that save alot of issues? Any "codeine addict" would just CWE the pills. Not doing so would be due to laziness. Simply sell codeine only pills. Abusers will abuse regardless make a seperate product without the ibuforen.
 
^ the thing is it's kind of synergistic with iburprofen/paracetamol in small doses in terms of pain relief. Sure it'd be better pure, I won't deny that. I'm not a huge fan of paracetamol but a little ibuprofen does work well for minor pain relief or as an anti-inflammatory.

Due to laziness or ignorance. There is a whole other forum out there dedicated to codeine addicts and most of them are taking them without a CWE (the forum doesn't allow discussion of CWE). You'd be surprised how many people take them everyday at amounts where serious damage is being done, leading to this change in legislation.

That's absurd, why would you not allow discussion of a technique that removes the only serious risk from codeine use?
 
^ I second that! I would guess that they are trying to create a resource which they feel will help codeine addicts quit and they don't think promoting CWE is the best way to achieve that. We all know it is much better to spread informtaion in the interest of harm reduction but there are obviously many out there who don't agree.
 
How do you even become addicted to codeine at the normal dose? Even if you're taking 4 or 5 pills at a time, that's still 50, 60mg, barely enough for a buzz to someone completely opiate naieve.

I got almost more buzz from taking 6 nuros when i had zero tolerance. Now 600mg and 40mg oxy doesnt do much (: Well it was fun till it lasted anyway. The ban is good and bad for most of us.
 
I picked a few boxes up today and one of the chemists mentioned that they're bringing out new packet sizes soon, and it'll still be available on request. This is hardly the end of codeine, it just means scaling back a little.

Lets hope ur right. I havnt been able to pick up any more larger packs with the 100s. Doesnt matter, im stocked up for atleast half a year LOL

Regular AusDD users might remember that the forum owner visited one of our codeine threads once, I can't remember which one... basically, his argument boiled down to that if his forum discussed CWE, his users use of pills would probably escalate. I remember it was an interesting discussion that we all had, and BL'ers were respectful of his position.

Werrrrhl.. i just heard this shit the other day..... loves my codeine... specialy 4 tha ol toothache..... this is so fucked of an idea!!! maybe time to stock up?? =D=D
im still seein those big ol boxes on tha shelfs up here in wonderland.... looks like its soon shopping time.... maybe with sum smurfz:D

It applies to all codeine containing OTC products. So the only thing we will be able to get without an Rx now is 24 packs... I'M SO FUCKED.

Thankfully some places is still carrying them 100 packs, snatch them up while you can!
