The Big & Dandy Worst Psychedelics thread

People have mentioned DOB and DOC and I've had mixed experiences on those, DOI too; haven't tried any DOM.

I would say Nutmeg, but really the only drugs that have brought me close to death are alcohol and opiates; not used in combination. Maybe I missed something, but are we supposed to quantify this in someway? Or is it only which is the most unpleasant in terms of the experience while you on the drug? Or come-down? Or over-all? If we were to address all the categories my choices would be: LSA (severe cramping, pain; kicks DOB's stomach cramping ass), MDMA (however I did what was supposedly very high quality, powdered MDMA, which I suspect was actaully methylone, from sunday to thursday last week and I haven't felt that bad), and overall probably nutmeg. Although nutmeg's effects for me were not "psychedelic" they were more on par with alcohol poisoning with a REALLY, REALLY bad taste.

I'll say PMA, not for its effect but for its toxicity. Ive never tried it myself

From personal experience, deleriants are a horrible choice. I've never had a positive experience on any deleriant.

I'm not a big fan of salvia either, other than the fact that it is exremely powerful
 
The only psychedelic I've tried and I didn't like at all was Amanita Muscaria Mushrooms. They taste's horrid and provided the worst trip ever had. All I had was some minor visual disturbances and I was sweating like a pig for about 6 hours. They are nothing like Psilocybe Mushrooms at all. I ended up giving am ounce of them to my friend for free I disliked them so much :p

The worst psychedelic drug I've done was a fake LSD blotter that was probably DOB or DOI. 15+ hours of writhing in agony as my brain melted to mush and toxic sweat was oozing from my body. From then on, bitter means spitter to me. And if I catch somebody knowingly selling fake LSD again I'll push a sheet down their throat.
 
^I agree, a mate told me about ginger having pshycoactive molecules in it, but from reading this thread, I'm assuming that he got it mixed up with nutmeg.

If ginger really was a pshycadelic, ginger beer would be FAR more popular =D
 
For me, Salvia was very hard. I tried again but a lighter dose and could handle it more. Set and setting people! oh... and dose :]



No one has mentioned Phencyclidine?
 
All of my salvia trips seem pointless and scare the shit out of me.
Maybe Im trying to high of a dosage.

DOB lasts too long and is a bitch to recover from if you have things to do the next couple of days.
 
Butorphanol (10mg+ insufflated)

Consistently produced irritability, damn weird visuals (sharp/jagged like a serrated knife), and general dysphoria.

Every instance I was with 2 or more people on the substance resulted in some combination of them fighting.
I'm a pretty laid back guy, but this stuff made me furiously annoyed at the tiniest things.

Also, I decided to trip on DMT once while on this substance, and it completely removed all color from my trip.

huh. I actually quite liked Amanitas. Haven't had any in a while though. I made up a tea with 10 grams (using the proper method posted on erowid; 1/2 hour steeping in water controlled at ~190F I believe). I found the tea to not taste nearly as bad as other organic psychedelics, actually didn't taste "bad" to me at all. I've also read that just eating them produces more side effects. Making a tea for 1/2 hour at the controlled temperature as per erowid protocol converts the Ibotenic Acid to Muscimol. End result: More desired effects, less side effects.

I find psilocybe mushrooms (tea or chewed) taste far more foul. Psilocybe mushrooms give me a taste that really doesn't agree with my body/nervous system; it just clashes with me. The psilocybe trip also clashes with me; maybe we just aren't meant to be. :\

EDIT: Also something that's intrigued me is the fact that Amanitas are the only "psychedelic" that grows and has thousands of years of history in my native land (northern Europe). It feels very natural within my body; like my genetics and the mushroom are compatible. We just mesh. :)

Actually Cubensis (fresh in particular) taste horrible to me and I associate the taste with insanity because I'm extremely sensitive to the stuff - I can't really handle hard mushroom trips. But Hawaiian shrooms taste alright to me.

To answer the Thread question it would be DXM if it's included but I kinda don't think it should be. Then DOB would probably rank lowest although it's not all that bad if you don't take too much.
