I remember I was in a rush to do my test in London years back because I'd been driving all over Europe and the UK on a provisional and had been done by the police and wanted to have the full license in hand by the time I came to court
There were months of backlog around my way so I eventually found one in Enfield that was in 48h, booked it and passed
Also escaped with no fine or points from the driving unaccompanied on the provisional charge some months later

I have checked every reasonable location for a tool and there are left only places I could have left the tool as automated, unconscious response to acutely needing one more hand for some other purpose than holding the tool I have now lost. I have no other cone wrenches. Fuck my life.
