Opioids Tianeptine Megathread v1

Is Tianeptine withdraw as bad as I'm reading on Reddit? People are saying it's worse than IV heroin WD, is that true? My GF is taking it for back pain and I don't want her getting addicted to something that's has worse than normal opiate WD.
For me it was fucking horrible.

I had zaza reds and I was taking I think two capsules three times a day.

After 5 days I decided I didn't really like the way it made me feel and so I stopped taking them and withdrawal symptoms started about 12 hours later.

I was sweating and shaking and felt like I had the flu. It was this combination of opiate and alcohol withdrawal, I know alcohol withdrawal. I don't know opiate withdrawal but from what I've heard the shaking and the feeling of having the flu like pain in your bones and muscles.

It lasted about 18 to 24 hours where it was really bad and then it tapered off over the next 12 hours to where it was really not that noticeable and was completely gone within a total of 48 hours, which I know is a lot shorter than opiate and alcohol withdrawal. But then again I'd only used zaza for 5 days.

For only mild sedation that really doesn't feel that good and such a shitty withdrawal. I will never touch them or tianeptine again.

I'm working on a story about the uproar over this substance. There is movement by the federal government to schedule tianeptine and I've heard there are concerns about access --especially for those who have good luck with tianeptine for pain control. On the flip side, some people have unintentional side effects while others with a substance use disorder find it to be helpful. Looking for a voice outside the medical community.

She had been taking 1 of the "red" capsules that are available in smoke shops in the US 1-2 times a day. I read that those are about 100mg or so each. Those are too expensive so I ordered some capsules that are supposed to be 25mg each which she said feel weaker than the "red" capsules. We've only had tye 25mg capsules for a few days and she is cautious so she has not experimented with multiple capsules at one time. She will only take what is necessary for pain relief.

I hope you understand what I mean by the "red" capsules.

Edit: I have been through sub, kratom and hydrocodone WD several times over the last 15 years. I took the "red" pills 3x a day for about two weeks for a compressed nerve root after I ran out of the small norco supply the dr gave me and experience very manageable wd.

For the record 1 or 2 days of any opiate use will cause mild flu symptoms for me so I'm not the best judge of a substance's ability to cause WD, no worse than the if I had taken the same amount of just norco.
Someone just posted a research paper on Reddit where they took the bottles of Za. Uh I mean the, red pills. They contained about 45mg+-3mg of tianeptine per. Just for future reference.

I ordered tianeptine. I am using amitriptyline at the moment. How strong is tianeptines serotonin effect? Has someone used it with amitriptyline or some other serotinin increasing drug and what was your experience? No excess serotonin problem with combination or..?
I am also wondering about this if anyone knows?

Hello all I have 2 orders for Tia in the mail and BOTH say "moving through network" on usps tracking. I'm in a state where it isn't banned. Do I have anything to worry about?

I would only worry as much as one does for any packaged good in transit. Hopefully they don't lose it in the warehouse or crush it on the truck.

Can somebody explain to me what tianeptine is? I recently went to the nearest smoke shop to pick up a little bit of kratom and they handed me a few sample bottles of something called tianeptine. They look pretty interesting but I don’t mess with stuff I don’t know about…

Its an opioid, fast acting. Like oxycodone-light.

It's also very short lasting and horribly addictive. Stick to kratom.

It's super fucked up that smoke shops are giving out "free samples" to get people hooked. I've heard of this practice before, with it resulting in full-blown tianeptine addiction.

Stick to kratom. I know from person experience how addictive tianeptine is.

I've tried tianeptine sulfate in the past but it didn't do anything for me.

It did have some what of this mind-relaxing effect (hard to explain), but it didn't feel opioid-like at all. No euphoria, no itching, no contentedness/bliss, no nodding, none of that.

I've heard the sulfate form is harder to get any opioid effects out of due to it being more like the extended release version, but I'm still skeptical cause even extended release opioids are still enjoyable (i.e. - extended release tramadol, methdone, buprenorphine, etc..).

So I've been really curious how the sodium version compares. But I have no idea where to even find it anymore. Pretty hard to find it online these days too, where as years ago a simple google search yielded nootropic websites selling it. But now all I can find are "research" chemical companies that pop up & they want like hundreds of dollars for a mere gram of the shit. So I guess I'll never really know what it's like.

Tianeptine sodium almost feels like a different drug than tianeptine sulfate. Fast and hard hitting, compared to a slow burn with the sulfate.

Much of a drugs abuse potential relates to the time it takes for it to reach peak concentrations in the blood after consumption. Tianeptine sodium is much faster in this regard. You can still get opioid-like effects of sulfate, but you have to take alot.

Only recently did I come across tianeptine being sold in a smoke shop. I had never seen it around here so i bought a couple types out of curiosity (all my tianeptine use in the past has been with with pure powder tianeptine).

Ive been using kratom lately so my tolerance is elevated, but I found the smoke shop stuff to be weak. I tried Zaza, Tata and something else (Pegasus?).

I found them all to be weak. Only one said how much tianeptine was in it (i think 72mg per capsule). It definitely didn't feel like 72mg per capsule. I'd say 30mg per capsule, at most. I emptied the contents and tasted that it did have tianeptine sodium in it, but not 70mg worth.

I consumed an entire bottle of the "Tata", which contain 15 pills (they all contain 15 for whatever reason), which based on the labeling should be a gram of tianeptine (sodium). Felt like 300-350mg maybe. If that. Maybe its my kratom tolerance but that entire bottle was underwhelming. Consuming 2 bottles got me pretty toasty, but definitely not worth the cost (when that much tianeptine sodium would cost me 1/30th of the price, maybe less).

If you go on quiting tianeptine subreddits, addicts are spending huge sums on 5 bottle a day habits, when they could buy that much tianeptine for pennies on the dollar in the form of pure powder.

Interesting.

Yeah it's true that the faster a drug hits, the more likely it is to be worthwhile.

Although drugs like extended release tramadol, methadone & buprenorphine are still somewhat enjoyable opioids (provided you have no tolerance), even though they take awhile to kick in.

So I guess I was thinking that even if it the sulfate is just a slower acting version, it should still tickle my opioid receptors & give me some effects, but unfortunately I felt nothing. The highest I went though was like 400mg. Maybe that wasn't enough though?

It could've also just been the quality from the vendor. But I went through a very reputable & well known nootropics vendor that was selling it at the time. I think it was like 70 dollars for a bottle of 50-60 75mg capsules or something like that. It was pretty damn expensive. But I'm rather curious about trying it again, especially the sodium, which sounds more pleasurable.

I'll have to keep looking around at the headshops here.

I'm also curious about trying isolated 7-OHM, as I've read that it's suppose to technically be a full agonist. But I could be wrong. But if it is, then maybe it would actually do something for me that kratom doesn't. But the prices on some of this shit are just outrageous. Like 25-50 bucks for barely a days worth of pills/extract. It's crazy & these companies are robbing the hell out of people & preying off their addiction/dependence. Man I wish cheap opioids were legally available to all adults. Just like people can walk into a liquor store & browse hundreds of different kinds of liquor, we need stores where people can try out all different kinds of opiates lol
