Wrong about the methadone. He eventually stopped doing dope and got on methadone (for at least 20 years if I'm not mistaken), until he died. Cardiovascular issues are not the norm, but the exception with methadone and specifically unique to it due to its dextro enantiomer. No other opioid shares this potentially cardiotoxic property. Tilidine for example is the most prescribed fully synthetic opioid in Germany and absolutely nobody is suffering from cardiovascular problems. He was also doing heroin not fentanyl, bupe, or methadone and was also just an n of 1
Correlation is NOT causation. Schools need to finally start hammering this principle into people's heads.Codeine is a killer, Fredo Santana and other rappers have died young because of codeine cough syrup, look it up, he joined the 27 club unfortunately because of cardiovascular disease, he was heavy into'Lean'.
Yeah, Santana and a bunch of other ignorant rappers died of cardiovascular complications, so what? Did they also do other drugs? Did they eat a crapload of junk food? What was their general lifestyle? Were they on medications that could have caused dangerous interactions? It's interesting how nobody seems to ask these questions and immediately jumps to -> it was the evil opioids that caused it!
All the more shocking that even people in a drug forum jump on this bandwagon.
