Pregab imo is great.
At higher doses and longer binges they will of course become an"issue".
I would only take the minimal necessary and at the lowest dose possible.
Use das needed rather by prescribed has taught me a coupla three thrings.
If i dont need it why take it?
Shit will fuck with the head inna serious way ime
carefull it has been knon to cause some serous issues when stopping it suddenly (even at low dses or staggeriing long time dosig.

I was trying to quit coughing from smoking MM so much. For relief and pain. And it helps with social anxiety.

Oh good just what will help for the barbecue ! Whoo wonder drug. If it's too good to be true . . . . it probably !!!!!!!!! Yeah.
 
I had a brain little bit of zap when I first tried it, pregabalin, Again. That scared me too. My brain din't like it imho.

I didn't even realize this was the Megathread. I thought i was somewhere else.

I research It too a lot. I just wait for someone to slip up and say what garbage it is.

It is a very dangerous medication that promises pain relief imo. Lol.

Not too good because of complications of withdrawal and adversities.

And also just great is that I am bombed out of my mind right now after taking this. !!

Unfortunately, I have allowed myself to become dependent on this shitty, demon drug. I have been taking it off and on for 4 or 5 years to potentiate oxycodone. I can take or leave the oxy but, damn, I can not quit the fucking Lyrica! I used to take 150mgs twice a week. Now, I’ll just gobble down 150mg capsules hoping to feel something. i don’t think I have ever gone over 900mg in one day, though.

I now need to take 150mg everyday to keep withdrawal at bay. If I don’t, I am extremely irritable, sweat profusely, can’t sleep, rls, and deep depression. Oh yeah, I forgot about the lack of motivation and the hot and cold spells.

I want my life back. I never thought I would become dependent on pregabalin. I’m going to get some gabapentin and switch to that. Hopefully I can then taper that.

I am a fucking idiot :cry:

Damn mate, that's really a bummer :/ Yeah, switch to gabapentin it might be easier to step off that just keep your doses low and roll off it. You can do it! You're def not an idiot, it happens to the best of us.

Pregab does have its downfalls.
Keep conscious of this.
I know they say it takes time to enter the system (weeks possibly) but found can be used as needed.
The only grug that put me in a space of not feeling wothy of being around and better off not being here.
Darkness like no other but quick to realize it and take action.
Staying conscious and observant of effects of any substance are crucial imo/e.
Please do not just cease this med it is a mind fuck worse that benzos ime/e.
To some it seems to have no repercussions but to others a nasty and possibly deadly outcome.

Even going over 225mg isn’t going to do much. I take 1 150MG a day and it takes an hour or so to kick in and then I get like a sensation of being stoned in pot without the paranoia or overthinking stuff and it stays for a few hours even after taking daily for a couple years now. Anything more won’t do much. It’s a weird drug that way. U like gabapentin which you can take Luke 1000-1500mg if. The Oregabalin is about 2.5-3 times as strong so you need a much lighter dose for same effect. It wasn’t generic for years so I was on GABA for a few years at 800mg twice a day but the PRE GABA is definitely stronger and once became a generic option my insurance covered it. It really helps both my neuropathy as well as anxiety both and I’ve never had a withdrawal from it although they say you can and not to quit without a tapering off.

Strange. I’ve never once got a depressed or mental mood change whatsoever after 4 years of 150MG a day. It’s different for everyone but start low at like 75MG if it’s pregabalin and about 350mg if gabapentin. Higher doses such as 600/1200 respectfully can definitely be far too much. I’m 52 and weight 175lbs and it’s been a wonderful drug for my neuropathy and anxiety both. I’ve stopped it for a couple weeks at a time cold turkey and never had any symptoms of withdrawal either. Definitely different for everyone but just sharing my experience FYI. Cheers.

Yep... seen many posts like this.
Just to give a heads up to those who may experience symptoms akin to these of sudden cessation and recognize it for what it is.
Glad that this doensnt have an effect on you in this regard as I and some others find it quite a pickle.

I've been taking 900-1200mg 3x week. The other days I take 150mg just to drag my self into work. I am really too old for this shit. I am so sick of feeling like crap. I am going to get clonidine and gabapentin and do a proper taper.
How do I fight the cravings for Lyrica though?
