Furry Lewis came a little later. I just heard this song on a local radio station that plays blues every Monday (show called Blue Monday) from 7pm to midnight.

We're the only ones who know this music well sadly @Jerry Atrick which says so much imho.
It's such a sad thing in this day & age of the internet nobody else hunts this music down, I like all kinds of stuff from Industrial Techno to Black Metal but this "proper" American music hits a spot nothing else can.
He sure had a unique playing style, his version of "slide / bottle neck" is one I tried but it was impossible.
