Meth ⫸Methamphetamine Megathread⫷

Dextroamphetamine Bioavailability

I have searched several times, even for regular Adderall, however I can't find I straight answer. The closest I came to an answer is one guy posted that it was 75% Intranasal and 25% oral.. Can I get some help guys? Obviously IV would be 100%, but would it have to be turned to a freebase? That is what I heard. IDK.. I am lost with this stuff..

Thanks

When you shoot up make sure after you register that you keep the needle and ur arm steady so it doesn't slip out or slip through the other side. Then even when ur sure ONLY PUSH IN 1-5units, if you feel a burn at all take it out and go in a vain father up your arm. If no burn just push the rest in slowly... good luck. By the way I used to inject meth a lot and I prefer to smoke it out of a bubbler.

Ive been IVing for a few months now and my body is so tense that I am starting to feel a lot of pain in my arms. I can't even lift anything with my right hand without my elbows and triceps area hurting. I don't know if it's a pinched nerve or if the meth is eating away at my muscles. I know I haven't been eating as much but I've been sleeping. And my left kidneys are hurting like crazy and I feel like this is the end of me. Is there anything I can do besides hydrate and take kidney supplements. Is there anything I can do for muscles like am I ever gonna be able to work out again or did I screw myself for good ?

Have you been taking magnesium? That seem to help with muscular problems for me.

I doubt the meth is eating away at the muscles in a big way, although it can corrode your veins at the injection site. It is possible that you have some kind of infection though. Another possibility is that you hit a nerve when you injected. Nerve pain can sometimes manifest in a location away from the site of the actual damage.

Best answer probably to take a break and see if anything improves. Monitor your temperature when you are not high for signs of injection and get antibiotics as appropriate.

Blood pressure is 64/105 and heart rate is 94. And this is from just waking up. Should I be concerned about the heart rate being too high?

Yeah I take my vitamins everyday and as far as the injection site goes I don’t inject the right arm.. usually the left. So it can’t be from that. Maybe tendinitis could be the cause for the pain in the arms and strength training mixed with drug use can cause problems if you over do it

Blood pressure is low and heart rate is high. I’d be seeing a doctor. Although I read you are supposed to measure both those things at the same time every day for like a week to make sure it is not an isolated incident. And obviously when you are not high or it’s pointless to measure it. Bluelight can’t be giving any advice about diagnosing or resolving medical stuff like this beyond sharing similar experiences and recommending that you see a doctor.

I missed that you work out in the original post. That sounds like the most obvious explanation if it’s in the arm you don’t inject into.

What's it mean when large shards don't readily dissolve in water? Like it takes 3 or 4 mins of stirring in warm water. Otherwise, it's good meth-- I just wonder what the cut might be.

FWIW, I smoke a little but mostly plug it. That's why I'm dissolving it in water.

It means it is cut with MSM (most likely). That might be shards of MSM thrown into the bag, or possibly more likely MSM and Meth “re-rocked’ to form a single shard.

The single shard you have could be 80% totally fire d-methamphetamine + 15 % MSM cut + 5 % leftovers from manufacturing. Or any combination of the three.

An acetone wash will take out the MSM and the manufacturing leftovers leaving you just with the meth.

Some unknown cuts may still be present after the wash but not often. After you acaetone wash the meth it should dissolve near instantly in water but you still need to filter it with cotton before shooting. If you are plugging there is less issue about filtering but it still wouldn’t hurt.

Hey man, I saw your comment and just wanted to share my experience.

A few years ago I was ignorant and doing lots of meth (and not even injecting it) & I would often push my body to extremes, usuallty sexually. All I wanted to do is keep going and going every time. This fucked my body up every single time. Sore muscles, stiff muscles, etc..

Eventually one night on a binge I went to go pee and my urine was root beer colored. If you ever see this, it's possible you might need to get to the hospital right away for IV fluids. It scared the shit out of me and I learned it was rhabdomyolysis. I was tearing away at my muscles. The meth's not exactly "eating away" at them, I mean maybe the other toxic shit it was made with could be too, but it does send your body temp & heart rate and everything sky rocketing. So the added stress of the meth ontop of say, a strenous work out, could shut down your kidneys by way of muscle damage.

I managed to recover by immediately drinking tons and tons of water, electrolytes, & by taking things like benzo's or other downers that would bring my body temp down and let my muscles relax. Lots and lots of sleep. If you're not noticing incredibly dark urine, you may be okay or just on the edge. For me I often thought my pee was just so dark because I was dehydrated, until it came out almost the same color as a kidney bean/root beer. That's when I realized I was doing a lot more to my body than I even realized.

Even casual hardcore workouts can cause muscle damage leading to kidney damage/failure.

I had blood work done twice since this experience and everything came back normal. But I dunno what would have happened had I ignored the signs and kept on going that night. Probably kidney failure. I was lucky to apprently not have any lasting damage either. Or at least not any that the doctors were concerned about, but I wouldn't press my luck again. lol
I could have died & didn't even see it coming. So be safe!

So as long as I'm consuming meth and working out even if I get sleep.. I'm always gonna be at risk with getting rhabdomyolysis even if I stop injecting? =(

It's possible. I had no idea what rhabdo was or that I needed to take precautions until it happened to me. They say the lifespan of a daily meth user is roughly 10 years. I don't know if I believe that as i've met people who have been using for 10-20 years and are still alive and still working and everything, but they're not exactly healthy in the 'head' if you know what I mean. I can sort of see it though, as there's so much toxic shit that goes into making it, that one must think the risk of premature death must be a lot higher for meth addicts. I've been using myself for about 20 years, but my use has always been rather sporadic binges rather than an every day thing. I also was stupid and just kept going and consumed over a gram (probably more) in a total of 5 days with no sleeping or eating when this happened to me. I then chose to lay around and masturbate for most of those 5 days (crazy, I know lol) and I'm pretty sure it was all that strain on my muscles, dehydration and too high of a body temperature that contributed to it. I know better now, but any time I use, even when I drink shit tons of water, my urine still comes out a little dark (although it's never been that root beer color again).

I'd say if you're worried or still experiencing the pain in your kidney area, you could always go to a doctor and tell them you just haven't been feeling well and ask them to do complete bloodwork. This way they'll see if there's damage accumulating in your kidneys and if they find it soon enough, you can take the steps necessary to prevent yourself from going into kidney failure. Which might mean having to give up meth or working out or both.

Unfortunately as long as one consumes meth (in any shape or form) they will be at risk to many things. If you're a bodybuilder/weight lifter and like to work out and use, your risk of possible rhabdo will be higher, along with probably a lot of cardiac strain. Unlike a lot of other drugs, it is directly toxic to the cells and neurons in your brain & organs. So using meth long term generally leads to poorer health and permanent changes in the brain that can start to affect personality. I've seen it in a lot of people I've known who used it for too long and have even observed these changes in myself. I hate seeing it happen to others, but I know addiction is not an easy thing to just say "hey you should stop" to, so the least I can do is try to help inform others and give them the knowledge to protect themselves if they decide they're gonna use.

Technically, every time one uses meth in recreational doses, they are giving themselves permanent brain damage and possibly organ damage. The brain is great at building new pathways and adapting with time, but it can only do so much and eventually you can reach a point of no return (parkinsons, psychosis, etc..).
My partner now hears voices, has delusions of persecution and talks to people that are not there. And this is even when he's not using. He loved to inject it too and after awhile, it changed him into a different person who now has some sort of psychosis/schizophrenia, that hasn't worn off or gone away, even with extended time away from meth.

Hope you are feeling better man! Take good care! All the best!

Well I’ve already had 2 heart attacks and I’m only 34 so if that doesn’t get me to quit I don’t know what will. That’s bad enough as it is I can tell you that much. I’m just stubborn and if only I was mentally strong like I am physically strong then it would be easy to quit.

You know I find it strange that I can have 4 Mexican guys stab me in the back because I was at the wrong place and the wrong time and still manage to beat the shit out of two of them while the other two ran away but quitting meth I just can’t get myself to do it. I’m a beast when it comes to street fights but this should be easier to do.

It might be the whole lethargy problem and me not wanting to feel tired constantly after I quit and gaining weight like crazy. I don’t know. It’s just annoying because with all the shit I’ve been through I should be mentally a lot stronger and want this for myself. Guess I need to work on loving myself more 😕

The pull of drugs can grab anyone. Once your brain is accustomed to that level of neurotransmitters, any sudden drop is going to be hell. I personally believe it becomes an "illness" at that point and I'm completely astounded at the fact that there's no "maintenance" for stimulant users, kind like there is with opioids. Some kind of maintenance stimulant could probably help somebody who's really ready to be done but just physically needs something to get out of bed in the morning.

Recovery can take a very long time, but there's stuff you can do and take to help speed it up a bit and make it a tad easier. Loving yourself more is definitely a great first step.
I think it's really unfair that our society doesn't address these things differently. If they now accept that addiction is a "disease", then why are people still punished for it? And why the lack of medication assisted treatment options? They could make it so much easier and safer for people if there wasn't so much stigma and regulations.

I have messaged you though man. You are not alone and are welcomed to vent to me any time. I don't even know you but from what I hear, you are a hell of a lot stronger than I am & I believe that you can do whatever you choose to put your mind to. Plus I'm aware of the fact that this is a medical problem and that kicking cold turkey anything is not really the best or easiest way to do something. The brain is going to be crying out in agony with nothing to stimulate your receptors. So if you need anyone to bullshit with or keep your mind off things, just holler at me!!

Yeah that’s one thing that pisses me off is these doctors prescribing nothing but anti depressants instead of dextroamphetamine or ritalin, focalin, vyvanse. Every doctor I ever saw told me they don’t prescribe stimulants.. but here’s a fuck ton of antidepressants because that’s what we doctors do now days. Like wtf is the point of going to the doctors when you can’t even get the help that you need? Lol crazy world we live in

I like eating high carb, lean protein and at times lately a lot of fruit. I am planning on experimenting with oral meth use soon, is there some slight modification to my diet or supplement to take? More specifically I prefer starchy vegetables like jap sweet potatoes, beans and lentils, steering clear of heavy grain use and switching to way more fruit instead. I have issues metabolizing too large amounts of fat.

Vitamin C - ascorbic acid - which you will get from eating a lot of fruit will reduce the effect of meth. It causes the body to process and excrete it more quickly. Anything that acidifies your system does.
