I know what you mean about the selection they've got, I've always been curious about hydromorphone and oxymorphone. But I've tried codeine, dihydrocodeine, morphine, heroin, oxycodone, opium, buprenorphine, methadone, Kratom, O-DSMT, some other RC opiate I can't remember the name of...I feel like I've had enough of a selection!

Started my day with an ounce of green malay Kratom. First time touching an opioid in months. Must mean my receptors are starting to upregulate, as I've actually got a mild effect.

Heroin, nice. Ive recently been talking with my friend about buying a gram in half. Youve definitely tried a few, for me its maybe 5 opiates and somehow my tolerances are already blown out like crazy.

Things like bupe or fent will cause a "permatolerance", even used on occasion. In my opinion id avoid the heroin. Even the best recreational drug users i know have trouble putting it down when they get some good dope. And by good I dont mean "gets you high as fuck", fetanyl for example is stronger effect but way less psychologically addictive IME. Gool ol' heroin plays the brain flute a little too well.

Some people also just have naturally high opioid tolerances (such as, people with red hair)

My tolerance is pretty low atm because I'm not using that often, but it's certainly been annoyingly high at times in the past. Only thing that's helped was taking long breaks.

I first tried heroin 13 years ago :cautious: here I still am, fucking around with it when I could've just bought codeine and gotten high.

Yeah, its definitely the permatolerance. When my friend stopped bupre for 7 months, he did 200mg oxy and didnt feel a single thing. He was like 21 or something. Fucked up.

Should get called anytime now. Chilling, just smoked a cig. Im planning to go to a rehab in few weeks and keep it in the weekends....

Personally I'm the only one I've met in person who has been using the stuff occasionally for about a decade that has never experienced physical dependency and withdrawal. Tread very carefully. (And that doesn't mean it didn't SERIOUSLY fuck up my life either way).

As for the rehab, might I suggest you try to locate a non-12 step program (that isn't the narconon cult), unless you fancy brainwash tactics, manipulation and being pressured to pray away your addiction and being stigmatized for your atheism. I mean, one of the places I've been to they had a "neuroscientist" preaching about THIQ which comes from a shotty studies in the 30s and has been thoroughly debunked. Its an extremely corrupt industry. Some of the techs and counselors obviously care a little bit, but in my eyes some of these are basically human trafficking organizations that take advantage of suffering and vulnerable people and their families.

Finding one that will allow you access to your phone and computer can also be important, as disappearing from the world for 30-90 days has its own detrimental effects towards stabilizing your life.

I was this same person too until pretty recently. Shame how it happened.

Our rehabs are based on solving our personal issues and shit.

I wanted to be dependant on it when I started...it seemed like a better option than suicidal depression. Now I realise I needed therapy and better friends.

Nice! Where are you from? We have dual diagnosis facilities here in the USA, but that usually translates to some schmuck spending less than 5 minutes with you and throwing you on an array of different psychotropics with horrid side effects, and group therapy sessions where we play bingo or hangman, or watch motivational videos on YouTube. Its crazy they can defraud the insurance companies like that.

There is a piece of me who has somewhat decided if my mental health is not significantly better and my life more stable within about 5 years ill bite the bullet and get on methadone, willingly submitting to one of the worst physical dependencies you could have, as I think it might stave off the suicidality and get me healthy enough to actually.make some better friends.

Im from Finland. I moved into the city and it was so easy to get subutex, our most used opioid, so it just kinda happened. Id much much prefer working on weeks and having a habit on weekend (if possible)

Yeah, Ive seen what its like for some people. You take a shot of amphetamine and 3 minutes later your ready to rob every store in your path. Then you show off all the useless junk youve stolen.

Its possible if you want to spend the rest of your week somewhat miserable. And I don't think this sort of addiction has been studied and what sort of chaos might be induced in the brain from that usage pattern, especially with other drugs involved.

I've resolved to never touch heroin again, and if I do ever use any other opioid stronger than Kratom, it will be for the special occasion such as breaking a leg or going on a hot date lol, so no more than a few times a year

Drugs don't cause that. I've never stolen or committed any immoral crimes to get high. Granted I've never felt the pain of withdrawal but id be willing to bet my baseline suffering from my mental illness is just as bad if not worse. Anyway, drugs might turn people into junkies, might bring out thr darkest parts of ourself, but drugs are no excuse and can only bring to the surface the shitty person you already were (speaking generally here, not about you)

Yeah, I dont rank robbing high(but then again I got it easier). Its predisposed for sure, conditioned to amphetamine and shit.
