2017 Trump Presidency Thread

No it shows who is actually working for him, and whose loyalties lie with the Deep State/establishment.
Not easy to run a country when only 20% of the staff in your administration were chosen by you, and the rest are Obama staffers actively trying to bring you down.
He has a consistent track record of disavowing racism over almost two decades.
If only he could hire and fire the staff

I wonder how Obama did it when he had all those W people actively trying to bring him down, and W dealt with all the Clinton people. Having been a civil servant, I think if it wasn't for our laziness there'd be constant coups.

Trump has finally convinced the world his word means nothing and that he supports Nazis.
I was actually surprised when he made his "didn't mean Nazis and their casualties were bad" statement.
I guess Chief of Staff Kelly isn't going to curb Trump's true colors from shining through.
And I never knew Trump had such a deep connection to the Confederacy. Disgusting.

I agree it was pretty pathetic. But not racist.

I am just curious Liquid, if you could define racism for me? We obviously are having a problem communicating in regards to racism; you feeling it has not been proven, myself feeling that I proved it in the single post I wrote yesterday. I would like to know your definition so that I can better understand your point of view.

^ working? I could be wrong but trump doesn't strike me as the type of person to read hundreds of pages a day of briefs and run meetings on the topics...in order to advance thing. Any heavy intellectual lifting is done by people under him and he probably just signs shit having no idea what it means even if he tried to understand it.

I think he just practices what he's going to say at speeches and counsels his press staffers on what to say all day to make himself look good.

He's never even had employees before. He works with an accounting firm and a law office, I'm sure it's a cleaning service and not a dedicated maid. The boy goes to school, probably has a nanny-firm temp tuck him in. Profiles seemed to have a guy spending most of the day on the phone doing not much, calling it a day at 5 to watch "the shows." Isn't known to have read much of anything. Shouldn't make fun if he's dyslexic, but there's an awful lot of dyslexics out there who wound up pushing harder instead.

Those 500 companies he "owns" are all offshore LLC shells. I think you need at least one success to call yourself an entrepreneur.

Bannon writes what he needs to say and gets him to sign what he wants, and as long as you say he's got big hands, you're "loyal".

But HA HA he said "pussy" put him in charge.

Trumps tweets about Barcelona terror attacks have upset a lot of people.

Everything Trump does upsets a lot of people. That's what happens when you have millions of irrational haters. They will blatantly lie to justify their hatred. Just look at Charlottesville. Trump explicitly and soundly disavows the KKK and Nazis, perhaps more than any other president in U.S. history, going as far to label them evil.

The left's response? Continue on as if it never happened.

This has been one of the darkest days in U.S. history. Never before has the mainstream media been so blatantly, so viciously dishonest.

If that weren't enough, their refusal to acknowledge, let alone disavow, the violence of leftist organizations (which long preceded Charlottesville), is an implicit endorsement which acts to embolden their hate. Why would these thugs stop attacking innocent people when the media, and even the police, have told them they're allowed to do it without consequence?

His improvisations just kill whatever the original message was. That's normally when he lies, create alternative facts as he goes. Haven't you read the previous posts, or like him you just do that superficially?

Trump has said the worst things while improvising and is quickly becoming the world's biggest bad joke, no to mention pathetic. I wonder if he knows enough of history about the Korean War and China's role towards NK. He just says things like 'fire and fury' without realizing Seul is just 45 Kms away, or even thinking for a second about the consequences of having 20+ million refugees, or putting in immediate danger places like Guam, Japan, etc. He probably thinks it's as simple as taking out the bad guy and everything will be just fine. He knows nothing about the complexity about that region and its past, or how the near future would be. He will blame someone and pretend he was misinterpreted, as he usually does after his poor and ridiculous improvisations. All he wants is to look good, his narcissism is simply too big.

Since you don't seem to care about news, you should pay attention to what Trump does. He's accomplishments as a president. Obama had Bush staff when he started and began in the middle of a recession, etc. Trump doesn't really get to complain that much. Instead, he should start working for a change. What about his immense infrastructure plans, huge, gigantic new healthcare from day 1. Mexicans paying for the wall and other BS. I assume he didn't think it was going to be that difficult, he said that himself.

^^ I just had a horrible thought. What if Trump had taken over when Obama did? I'm so grateful that things are relatively stable at the moment so we can absorb some of the disaster that is Trump.

I believe he would have won. Both of Obama's campaigns were overwhelming. He really inspired a lot of people, and even today he has one the greatest approval rates. People like him will always be in the right and good part of the world's History. Not only as a politician but as a great person he is.

Steve Bannon is out.
What now with the network to the white supremacists? Does Bannon go loudly using Breitbart and 4chan and Reddit and all the other networks his people built up or was he well compensated? We shall see.

Will Steve Miller, white nationalist and senior policy advisor
a) become the third Communications Director,
b) take Bannon's position as Chief Policy Advisor or
c) become another casualty of Chief of Staff Kelly?
Stay tuned for the next "departure" on Survival Island, the D.C. Saga...

i am interested in the opinions of those who traditionally defend trump in here on this latest departure and all the departures from his staff?

we were lead to believe that a big part of trump's attraction was that he was an incredible businessman and negotiator. if a company was seeing the kind of staff turnover that has plagued trump's administration, the ceo would have some serious explaining to do. and these aren't minor positions - these are senior administration staffers: national security advisor; deputy chief of staff; press secretary; chief of staff; communications director; chief strategist; et. al.
