2017 Trump Presidency Thread

I was thinking more about the general Pershing tweets.
Trump suggesting killing muslims with bullets dipped in pigs blood lol

Is he on record saying that?

But then again, after all this bullshit, something like that coming from the President probably isn't even news. Cause hey, a protester called someone a "cracker" so both sides do it. (sorry, I forgot I'm not in the Charlottesville thead).

So @Dr. Dreamer, are you saying Trump may have been speaking with actual conviction when he made that speach? Like it wasn't something he could just blame on Bannon later?

Donald Trump is the current President of the USA.

It was on the news at the G20 that the other countries are stepping up to fill the void that the US is leaving behind voice wise.

Its like they are just finding ways to work around Trump, dont have any real interest in engaging him and he is just going to be un co operative and disruptive because he can.

The US dollar is falling.

Why does he spend so much time on Twitter and giving dumb press conferences when he should just sit down, shut the fuck up and get on with it?

Or is he? Hiws the economy going? Jobs? All good?

one million jobs added.
stock market at record highs.
illegal immigration is down by 90% or something ridiculous.

are we just going to pretend that all this isn't happening?
yep? ok...

Trump is so st00000pid
He saiz one thing and then duz something else.
Can't run a presidency

So how about those jobs?
Let's hear excuses as to why the job creation and confidence in the stock market was caused by other factors

Focusing? The 70yo failed real estate developer has trouble with that, as seen with the latest domestic issue.

Six months after Obama the economy hasn't tanked. But cancelling trade agreements and the G20 void show there's no leadership and a major downturn on the horizon.

I'm sure Ivanka's Chinese clothing line will do alright.

The biggest problem that Trump faces with improving the state of the nation is that literally everything he does (including positive actions) are negative, evil, wrong and a terrible mistake/great danger to us all.

^ literally everything. let's not exaggerate because when you have to exaggerate to make your point, it demonstrates that you have no point.

he is criticised for a lot of what he does. because he's done a lot of things that have disappointed and angered a lot of people.

i think we are all agreed that white supremacists are bad. that's one thing that none of us in this thread disagree with, right?

trump had an opportunity to make a swift, definitive, crystal clear statement denouncing white supremacists - the kind of statement that screams leader and around which supporters and critics alike could rally - and he blew it.

he chose instead to make a cheap, political point. ymmv, but that is how a lot of people across the political spectrum see it. so this time it's not the fake media attacking him, or nasty old democrats being mean to the poor guy. it's a lot of people. a lot of americans feeling thoroughly let down by their leader.

My lady in heaven what have we here, a post from Liquid I can agree with totally.

I need to go fan myself I feel I caught a vapors

It is pretty much literally everything. The bad stuff is bad. The neutral stuff is bad. The positive actions are simply ignored and not discussed.

trump had an opportunity to make a swift, definitive, crystal clear statement denouncing white supremacists - the kind of statement that screams leader and around which supporters and critics alike could rally - and he blew it.
IIRC he swiftly denounced white supremacists. This is what I'm talking about.
President denounces white supremacists - "didn't do it quick enough doesn't count"

he chose instead to make a cheap, political point. ymmv,
Sorry to assume but I sense a bit of support for left-wing terrorism?

Who are these lots of people you speak of? Is this what the MSM is saying? Or do you have a lot of Trump supporter friends? "A lot of people" like him more after how he handled Charlottesville. He finally called out the problem on both sides.

It is pretty much literally everything.
for goodness' sake. if it's 'pretty much' then it can't be literally everything! :)

i disagree with your characterization.

Sorry to assume but I sense a bit of support for left-wing terrorism?
no.

Or do you have a lot of Trump supporter friends? "A lot of people" like him more after how he handled Charlottesville. He finally called out the problem on both sides.
i live 4 miles from the nevada border. i know lots of people who support trump and voted for him.

but don't let yet another incorrect assumption about me get in the way of that 'truth' thing, the importance of which you're always talking about...

Well to reinforce your point you did claim twice that a lot of people agreed with you. What % out of 320 million did you poll to come up with that assessment?

And if you do not support leftwing violence, what was your problem with Trump's comments after the incident?

I have a problem with what Trump is trying to accomplish, which boils down to reducing regulations in order to benefit the fat cats at the expense of the rest of us, drag the US down on the world stage, and basically make this country a cesspool.

Trump's in it for himself. If you think otherwise, you aren't paying attention.

^ i hear people talk about how many jobs he's already created. i understand employment is up.

but how much of this is just a continuation of a trend that started years ago?

and, more importantly, even if jobs are up, at what cost? he overturned the "office of surface mining's stream protection rule" - an environmental regulation put in place by obama. this is an evil law which did something terrible - aimed to protect waterways from coal mining waste.

great, mining shares went up $0.02. oh great, what did it cost us? just the planet we live on :\
