2017 Trump Presidency Thread

Or a dumpster on fire in an alley on a slight incline slowly starting to slide downhill. It's strangely fascinating, but then you start to wonder what's in there and how poisonous that smoke is. And as it picks up speed and begins barreling down the hill, setting off smaller fires, you suddenly remember you parked at the bottom.

I thought y'all would be celebrating Trump distancing himself from the Alt-Right?
Nope just a chance to claim disarray and chaos in the administration.
Impeachment must be coming soon...

From Afghanistan and North Korea to Syria and Venezuela, Mr. Bannon, the president’s chief strategist, has argued against making military threats or deploying American troops into foreign conflicts.

^ You can't be that naive. Mr Trump will say whatever it takes for him to look well.

Haven't you noticed by now that Trump often tell things - and then strategically changes or implements his 'original' quotes? That's normal but not if you do it almost everything single time.

He does that very, very frequently (often changing the meaning) and why do think you that happens? His temperament may seem totally unfit for Office if he can't control his emotions. And, unfortunately his improvisations can be indeed indicative of such problem. He either ignores the consequences or doesn't know enough about what he's improvisations may imply. I gave you few examples of his actions, e.g. when it took 3 different speeches in regards to Charlottesville. NK, Venezuela, etc, etc, etc.

I am celebrating. And it is chaos! A person can celebrate one thing and lament another.

And people accused of racism frequently bring "my black friend" out and parade him around as though that changes anything. Usually its a sign the allegations are true. It never convinces anyone.

The only thing that can betray one's words are their actions.
Do you have evidence of any racist actions that Trump has undertaken to factually substantiate your allegations that Trump's anti-racist speeches and comments are BS?

WTF does this prove? Can you be more specific when leveling the very serious accusation of racist at another?

Is there any way for Trump to prove to you that he is not a racist? What would you accept as evidence?

I wasn't talking about racism at all. I have simply told you to look at my previous emails where I show some of Trump's action. After all the last time I was trying to talk to you it was about the actions you've questioned. Saying that actions speak louder than words.

In regards to racism, although I have already given you few examples + evidences, as well as other people, this wasn't about it.

I couldn't reply to that post because it is the same baseless accusations that I've fielded numerous times. The level of evidence that you require to demonize someone is very low, while the evidence that you require to change your perception is very high. This is the standard when it comes to sufferers of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

So stopped listening to the media. But you cannot ignore his actions as a president. Start with ineptness. Trump said what was needed on Monday and then undid all his "good work" on Tuesday-briefly uniting Fox News and Mother Jones in their criticism. As business leaders started to resign en masse from his advisory panels, the WH disbanded him. Trump did, however, earn the endorsement of David Duke, a former Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

Trump has complicated the task of containing their marches and keeping the peace. The harm will spill over into the rest of his agenda too.

At the root of it all is Mr Trump's temperament. In difficult times a president has a duty to unite the nation. He tried in Monday's press conference, but could not sustain the effort for 24 hours because he cannot get beyond himself. "A president needs to rise above the point-scoring and act in the national interest. Trump cannot see beyond he latest slight. Instead of grasping that his job is to honour the office he inherited, Trump is bothered only about honouring himself and taking credit for his supposed achievements."

His actions? America is cleft in two. After threatening nuclear war with NK, musing about invading Venezuela and equivocating over Charlottesville?

His improvisations just kill whatever the original message was. That's normally when he lies, create alternative facts as he goes. Haven't you read the previous posts, or like him you just do that superficially?

Trump has said the worst things while improvising and is quickly becoming the world's biggest bad joke, no to mention pathetic. I wonder if he knows enough of history about the Korean War and China's role towards NK. He just says things like 'fire and fury' without realizing Seul is just 45 Kms away, or even thinking for a second about the consequences of having 20+ million refugees, or putting in immediate danger places like Guam, Japan, etc. He probably thinks it's as simple as taking out the bad guy and everything will be just fine. He knows nothing about the complexity about that region and its past, or how the near future would be. He will blame someone and pretend he was misinterpreted, as he usually does after his poor and ridiculous improvisations. All he wants is to look good, his narcissism is simply too big.

Since you don't seem to care about news, you should pay attention to what Trump does. He's accomplishments as a president. Obama had Bush staff when he started and began in the middle of a recession, etc. Trump doesn't really get to complain that much. Instead, he should start working for a change. What about his immense infrastructure plans, huge, gigantic new healthcare from day 1. Mexicans paying for the wall and other BS. I assume he didn't think it was going to be that difficult, he said that himself.

the revolving door in the west wing is going to need some lube :)

more failure of leadership: Trump's Business Councils Dissolve After CEOs Turn Against Him

oh, and this: All members of Trump’s arts committee resign in protest of his Charlottesville remarks

this administration is absolutely shambolic and the buck stops with trump.

All of the above, when you started talking about his actions.
I'm not arguing racism and evidences with you anymore as you simply don't accept the facts we all present to you.

He’s a Mexican,” Trump told CNN of Curiel. “We’re building a wall between here and Mexico. The answer is, he is giving us very unfair rulings — rulings that people can’t even believe.” Trump speaking of Judge Curiel, insinuating that because he is Mexican he can't properly perform his duties as a judge.

In 1973, his real estate company was sued for racial discrimination when it came to renting homes to blacks.

In a news interview in 2016, Trump states "His wife, she was standing there, she had nothing to say. She probably — maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say." when speaking after a possibly Muslim father of an American Officer died in Iraq while in service to the American people. The mother of this Officer had just lost her son, and was to broken to speak. She wore a head scarf- is this why she is not allowed to speak?

Trump owned (possibly still does) a casino in Atlantic City, when he and his wife entered the building, the black employees would be removed from the floor, and taken into the back so that they would not be seen. This Trump business was sued for discrimination too.

There are plenty more, if you are willing to look. As for me, I am so disgusted with this man; his recism is bad... his thoughts on women, how they should be treated, what they are good for, etc., well they make me SICK!

I respect our nation, I believe that we have problems, but we try each in our own little way to acknowledge them and hopefully make them better. I respect the seat of power of our nation, and wish the man in that seat did too. I find it terryifying that the American people now need a twitter account to find out White House Policy. Even then how reliable is that information? How is possible that a man that believes in 'alternative facts' is in that seat? How is it possible that he negates all the checks and balances put in place at the founding of our nation for his own benefit? How can he believe, that the government that was founded for the people, and of the people, should be by passed and trampled upon so that his ideals are fulfilled? Proof?

Executive orders are assigned numbers and published in the federal register, similar to laws passed by Congress, and typically direct members of the executive branch to follow a new policy or directive. Trump issued 32 orders. Presidential memoranda do not have to be published or numbered (though they can be) and usually delegate tasks that Congress has already assigned the president to members of the executive branch. Trump issued 28 memoranda. Finally, while some proclamations — like President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation — have carried enormous weight, most are ceremonial observances of federal holidays or awareness months. Trump issued 30 proclamations. And all of this in his first 100 days of office!

I am just curious Liquid, if you could define racism for me? We obviously are having a problem communicating in regards to racism; you feeling it has not been proven, myself feeling that I proved it in the single post I wrote yesterday. I would like to know your definition so that I can better understand your point of view.

These posts for instance, and so many others. But this one in particular you haven't ever considered replying or even presenting your point of view. On top of Alasdairm accuracy on showing exactly what it would mean, you just don't accept anything that you disagree with. Be honest with yourself.

He's chosen the Trump hill and wants to defend any and all criticism, so by extension even nazis and Putin, to the death.

Liquid, it's admirable loyalty in a way, but a really awful hill to die on.

Lol Erikmen- something you should know about Donny Gump's followers- they don't accept facts. Facts are fiction and up is down. If a fact doesn't benefit themselves, their beliefs, or their deity Gump, they'll deny til the end, literally driving themselves to insanity.

Actually pretty scary the game Trump is playing in this regard....not only destroying credibility of truth and any defense against a tyrannical federal government, but also people's very brains......not something to be toying with.....

He's never even had employees before. He works with an accounting firm and a law office, I'm sure it's a cleaning service and not a dedicated maid. The boy goes to school, probably has a nanny-firm temp tuck him in. Profiles seemed to have a guy spending most of the day on the phone doing not much, calling it a day at 5 to watch "the shows." Isn't known to have read much of anything. Shouldn't make fun if he's dyslexic, but there's an awful lot of dyslexics out there who wound up pushing harder instead.

Those 500 companies he "owns" are all offshore LLC shells. I think you need at least one success to call yourself an entrepreneur.

Bannon writes what he needs to say and gets him to sign what he wants, and as long as you say he's got big hands, you're "loyal".

But HA HA he said "pussy" put him in charge.

funny you mention dyslexic, because I sort of though trump might be due to his not being well read or knowing anything besides what is on TV. also the way he speaks, where he always starts with the subject noun no matter how awkward it makes the sentence.

...But in his recent off the cuff speech he did in trump tower where he doubled down on he equivocation of Nazis and counterprotestors, I was actually impressed with the way he argued his point and speech, and it wasn't written. Probably very well rehearsed, but he wasn't speaking improperly like we had been seeing since his campaign.

Again concocting fantasies. There are MANY things I disagree with Trump on, as I've stated multiple times previously, as multiple people have chosen to ignore in order to label me an apologist.

I support Trump in general due to his war against the Deep State and his acceleration of arresting human traffickers and pedophiles. IMHO those are reasons enough to support his efforts, as the previous administration did fuck-all.

One positive thing I hope everyone can agree on - the election of Trump has really exposed and put a spotlight on the extent of governmental corruption.

...you can't accept reality.
let's find a way to move on from this nonsense that you - and those you agree with - are the only arbiters of what's 'real'.

a difference of opinion is something to be respected here and if you can't find a way to do that, your posting privilege will be removed. if any part of this is not clear, drop me a pm to discuss.
