☮ Social ☮ PD Social Tripping Thread: Euphoric Rambles for Swirling Souls

Deep house can go fuck itself.

Though I like the idea behind it.

Meeting up with my older bro today. He is usually laden with goods, I havve some O-Pce and DCK on its way.

Plugging GHB, anyone-?

Ordered CoQ10, glucosamine and strong omega-3s for the sake of this 3-MeO-PCP train. Been supplementing with strong B12 too

Just got a vial with some vet grade liquid ketamine. I've never done it before, its kind of hard to find here, and the last time I was offered some the people doing it were IM'ing it so I declined because I didn't felt like doing it.

But now that I have this vial I'm thinking injecting would be the best way to use it, instead of drying the solvent and snorting. I've never IMed anything before. Not sure how to proceed.

Excited anyway for having scored ketamine, after a couple of years of playing with RC dissos I was really curious about the "classic" arylcyclohexylamine

“I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success . . . Such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything.”
― Nikola Tesla

He really knew it.

I love electronic music. We used to call it electronic music, and dance music, and there was overlap. So EDM seemed like a fine enough blanket name, but it has come to represent some terrible music, and it's also become the catch-all term for "electronic music that I hate", just like the name "dubstep" became maligned and only applied to "electronic music I hate".

Whatever... there's shit music in every genre, there's gems in every genre (except psytrance ;P and blues ;P). Music is always something you have to dig into to find the stuff that's really amazing.

Not sure what you need the glucosamine for particularly, and omega-3 i have had doubts about in the past - crazy things do happen like masses of people or in this case (British?) school children getting supplemented with omega-3 with junk science behind it. I wonder if that science has been "supplemented" as well in the meanwhile, will have a look.

If your CoQ10 is pure like mine, you need to ingest it in an oily carrier for it to work, which can also protect it against degradation by encapsulating it. I use cocoa fat. Yeah I take B vitamins too, for the sake of dissos like 3-MeO (very occasional user now only though), and also paraesthesia in 1 1/2 digits that started bugging me which i diagnosed as cubital tunnel syndrome later, but was worried about neuropathy before that.

Do all dissos pose the risk of B-12 deficiency ? I thought it was only a worry with nitrous. If that's the case I should probably start supplementing since I don't get much dietary B12 as a vegetarian.

I ordered glucosamine for arthritis, I play this videogame like 50 hours a week (trying to go pro) and my hand is getting sore after a few weeks of such hard strain on the hand. I think it could help all of my joints because being on dissos all the time I am staying in bad positions for too long, like sitting on my PC for hours. And on 3meo you don't really feel pain. About omega3s, I've just read studies that it could help cognition (I try to eat fish as often as possible but I don't eat it enough)

You don't like psytrance OR the blues?!?! 8o

Perpetualdawn... how could you?

If I had to pick 2 genres to never listen to again it would probably be those two.... sorry =D But I've definitely heard stuff I love in both genres. Actually I like really old southern blues, it's just so re-hashed nowadays. I've heard some neat stuff in the psytrance realm that's probably more on the fringes of psy.. and sometimes it can have this ineffable "spritual" quality to it that's pretty special - but that can go the wrong way pretty easily too I find. Hey maybe you can educate me on some quality psytrance!

I loved psytrance back in the day, used to produce and play it. I don't listen much now outside of the more progressive or minimal. Tgeres some brilliant tunes and artists, Infected Mushroom are one of my all times favorites.

Blues does little for me but I appreciate it. I love the blues scale.

The blues has influenced so much music. Pentatonic scale for the win...

I actually am not really that into really old-school blues. But I have a hard time imagining anyone hearing someone like Jimi Hendrix play the blues and not liking it.

Psytrance seems to be a confusing term for me. I really love stuff like Shpongle or Beats Antique, stuff that has a groove. I fucking HATE that really fast-paced shit that's just like thump-thump-thump-thump-thump-thump with a bunch of creepy weird sounds over it, at like 180bpm, with absolutely no variation in the perfectly straight beat. That is like the most boring thing I can think of. My good friend loves it and always used to invite me to psytrance shows and it was like, damn I think I'd rather beat my head against a wall.

Yeah, the more darkpsy stuff is shitty. Just monotonous, not very psychedelic imo.

Try this on for psytrance guys: https://soundcloud.com/spiralout72/initiation

This guy is one of my favorite writers/bloggers, and this is his music account for the mixes he makes. He's a trained drummer, etc. All his mixes are super well done, atmospheric, and spiritual. This one doesn't even get too psytrancey for the first ten minutes or so if I remember correctly. It's sooo good though. All the other mixes on his account are great too. He either does psytrance mixes or psychedelic downtempo stuff. His playlist of all his downtempo sets is what I listened to when I did ALD-52 for the first time and it blew my mind =D

Edit: Admittedly, I wasn't a fan of psytrance at all until that trip. After the downtempo playlist I mentioned above ended, one of his psytrance sets came on, and wham-o, I got it. There's just something so high energy and transcendent about it to me. As someone mentioned in the past page or so, the total shaman drum / tribal ritual / repetitive percussion element of it is one of the big things.

What do you think of the 140-150 BPM~ dark psy trance/forest etc?

Word. I have tons of *respect* for the blues, it laid the foundation and is the deep roots to so much music. It jumped the Atlantic back to Africa and re-pollinated over there, hybridized, morphed, grew into so many different musical tendrils all over the world. And Jimi is a god :)

But when I go to a bar, and there's some old white guys playing the same old predictable blues progressions... it's just so dead. It's just like this thing that's been hashed out so many times, like that bus has come and gone ages ago. But I guess that's the beauty of blues isn't it? Innovation and change isn't the point of it, it's *meant* to be what it is.

I've never heard any Beats Antique that I'd consider remotely close to psytrance.

Yeah I have a hard time with that too. It can feel like ear/mind-rape. I don't know why, but the soundsystems I hear the stuff get played on often seem really poorly set up or managed, lots of clipping, bad phase problems, overdriven. guck. It's probably mostly to be blamed on rookie DJs pushing everything into the red. I'm sure the proper pro psytrance parties do a lot better job at sound.

Thanks! I'll check it out!

The last time I saw Infected Mushroom they seemed to be playing gabber. Worst sound I've heard. Everyone appeared to love it. :\

I don't like Infected Mushroom in the least. My friend put some on a trip or two ago, and sitting through it was a chore, done out of respect for alternating between his and my music choices. I would never listen to it of my own free will. I really enjoyed that electronic warehouse rave I went to though; Infected Mushroom wasn't very similar to whatever I was hearing then.

Clearly you have terrible music taste then ;)

What tunes do float your boat C_g?
