Thanks , will read into! So in regards to sleep, how much sleep do you need to get which will help these LTCs? As much as possible ? Cos I've heard that apparentley oversleeping can be as nearly as bad as under sleeping so I'm not sure what to think .... Next week I've got a week off work and just plan to sleep as much as possible cos I only really get brain zaps when I'm tired and think this week off could really help. Cheers

Agreed with Martian, 8 hours is average but if you feel better with more then by all means sleep lots. I wouldn't spend too much time lying in bed awake though.

There is some evidence that sleeping too much (and definitely too little) is associated with increased mortality in elderly but the increased sleep could be a compensation for a disease state or sleep apnea or fatigue, so I don't think the increased time spent asleep is causing the increased mortality. Definitely don't about too much sleep in your situation, but be WEARY of becoming deconditioned. Cardio is especially important if you find yourself getting dizzy or weak standing up.

Is there an explanation why everything's feels so uncomfortable while LTC? Before my LTC I loved to sit on the couch and watch tv and it felt really relaxing but now I have the feeling that my body just couldn't relax anymore and even if I cuddle with my dog it doesn't feel enjoyable anymore :(
It just annoys me extremely because I finally want to feel good again, even if I take benzos or something like that I don't feel relaxed. Somebody made similar experiences?

I think it has to do with your body being in 'fight or flight' due to HPA Axis dysregulation.

Depends on what your 'LTC' problems you have? An LTC isnt actually a medical term so there is no specific amount of sleep for it. Are you suffering with DP, HPPD, anxiety, physical problems etc? Really 8 hours seems to be the average recommendation. Some people need more or some need less, its a personal thing. If you feel better on 10 hours then by all means sleep that long!! I perosnally find if I sleep more than 8/9 hours I feel groggy for a good half of the day. So i aim for between 7-8. Any less and it pretty much ruins my day and makes my DP pretty bad. Also, quality sleep is just as important as quanitity. You should aim to sleep and wake at similar times each day and sleep in total darkness. Try and eliminate the use of electronic devices an hour before bed.
Hello thanks for your reply. I've basically had bad brain zaps for 13 months, they used to be really bad but now I only get them around sleep and when I'm tired during the week mainly after work and with sudden eye movement. The last 6 months has been slow recovery wise but I do have a really stressful job and work long hours (50 hour weeks minimum). I feel
as if they're just fatigue and stress/anxiety related so I feel that if I were to have a week off from always being tired and stressed at work it may really help.

Has anyone experienced stomach bloating from this? Could just be due to the amount of water I've been drinking.

Doea caffeine intake slow down your recovery??? Someone with knowledge please reply because I love to have a caffeinated drink every once in awhile but I am afraid it slows my recovery down

I tried coffee today for the first time in a couple months. It made me really anxious all day. Nothing like the first month but I didn't like it. I love coffee too but I don't think it's a good idea.

When you say you can smoke weed without getting anxious can you drscrive that feeling? For me my body will get hot and my heart will race for 40 minutes. I'm in my first month of this journey I just wanna smoke again without my heart racing it's never done this. Could you reply or just message either way that I could get this

Don't smoke if you are in an LTC it slows down recovery and it isn't going to be fun either......I haven't been able to smoke for over a year now because it gives me worse anxiety......I think you will be able to feel when you can smoke again but seriously it's going to be at least a year probably

I would try to avoid caffeine, especially after noon.
Ya I get avoiding it for sure but sometimes I feel I need a boost that day....I just want to know if it slows down recovery for example I am never going to do Molly because I know it slows down recovery.....is it the same with caffeine just on a way lighter scale??? Thoughts

I tried it yesterday with two cups. I think it's a really bad idea for us. I still had bad anxiety today. I'm at about 65 percent right now, where I was at 80 percent before the coffee. I would strongly advise against it.

Back in 14 was when I started xtc I did it for a summer taking around 3 pills a week but my dealer got arrested so after the summer was when I started running everyday running 2 to 3 miles a day eating fairly good. Something also clicked where I didn't want to do any type of drug and I still don't but November 2015 was when I found more and up to around April I would do up to 2 or 3 pills every 2 or 4 weeks sometimes a month around April I over did it and took 5 and around that time I experienced my first heart palpitation my heart started racing after I took a dab. I continued to smoked nothing happened. A week before jul7 to get ready for a rave since I haven't used since apr I took 3 trip stacks (the same pills I was taking earlier in the year) I took that many because I wasn't feeling it. Then the next week went to a rave first night took what I thought was Molly it wasn't second night just drank third took what I thought was xtc it wasn't maybe had the littlest mdma and microdosed 25 ug of lsd. Then that following Monday or Tuesday I took a dab then my heart started racing went to the doc had all the test run and no signs of anything I'm fine. I tried to smoke again about a few weeks later and my heart would race and my body would heat up... What's the cause of my body heating up?

There could be a scientific explanation for what you're experiencing but it is a bit complicated. But many people anecdotally report weed gives them anxiety after issues with ecstasy.

What I would try to understand is that for now, the road to long term happiness for you involves sobriety.

I really recommend mindfulness meditation. There are good guided meditations on YouTube and an app called Headspace is great.

Hi everyone, I dropped last Friday and I end up in the hospital because I felt like was going to die, dehydrate, shortness of breath and chest pain (heart attack or asthma like symptom) and it's a scary experience for me. From what I've read online that I may experience an Anxiety/panic attack but however i'm not sure if it was that or because I might take some pill that have piperazine in it and maybe that's an affect of pipe pill or maybe allergic to whatever in that pill. I take about 2 pills of my own (the pill I know it is safe for me). After that I took the 3rd pill from a friend (an unknown pill) and that's when I start feeling sick. I'm just wondering have anyone have the same experience like me? and also I want to know is the event that happen to me is it a feeling of panic attack or is it there's other stuff in the pill that make me sick? I do not want to ever experience those feeling again. I'm here just try to find some answer and if anyone know what it is, please help and tell me what can I do prevent or how to recover from an episode like that. Thanks!

3 pills the same night it's a sign that you need to slow down, altogether. A pill is usually a single dose (~140mg) of MDMA, the recommended dose. You took 3 times that. Plus, the 3rd pill could have been, literally, ANYTHING, and could be aggravated with the MDMA in your system. I'm glad you are better now, but I hope you've learned your lesson: NEVER CONSUME IF YOU DID NOT TEST IT.
