Valium didn't come to the UK until 1963.
Today there are still hundreds of thousands of people, maybe upwards of a million, many middle-aged/older housewives who are still addicted to prescription valium.
The sky isn't falling down because GP's are still having to prop it up. The RC benzodiazepine story is a very real problem and people will die due to the effect this legislation will have.
