2013-2014 NBA Thread v. AI is officially retired

^ bad day for guys with dreadlocks in the NBA. I'd say Thad could win most improved player but he was already pretty good before this year. Im sticking with Bradley Beal

MIP is so much harder to call than MVP in all actuality

lol the Pacers signed Andrew Bynum

who leads the league in vaginal cramps

lol lance stephenson already locked that up awhile ago.

"It really wasn't a hard decision, I think it's the right fit for me," Bynum said in a statement. "In all honesty, I think we've got the best chance of winning.(

) It will be great to back up Roy, and I'll do whatever I can to help this team."

Doesn't hurt my feelings at all. Just solidifies the brute vs finese battle in the east.
Ask shim or clevland how well Bynums knees are holding up Mike..

The NBA is very top heavy in the east. I don't give any team a chance of upsetting the pacers or heat. In the west I think it's a toss up. I think the blazers are young but a complete team. I think the clippers are weak at the 3 but have a STAR in Griffin and Paul. Spurs are the spurs but they don't have big wins. Rockets are dangerous but they have chemistry issues. Thunder need westbrook and they are solid. Lastly, the warriors are lights out shooters but they live and die by the three...

My pick as of now.... if Durant keeps playing like a possessed man... heat vs thunder

Portland and Golden State are the two most overrated teams in the league right now.

I don't see either of them making it past the the second round. I'll be surprised if Golden State even makes it through the first round to be honest.. There defense is just not that good, and if they don't put up at least 100 they're probably not getting the W that night.

Underrated teams in my opinion are Detroit, Chicago, Phoenix, and Memphis.

Pistons are way better than their record shows, and I expect a strong finish to the season to just sneak into the playoffs. If there is any team in the East capable of upsetting Miami or Indiana, I think Detrot definitely has the best chance just because of the size of their team.

It's official:

Indiana Pacers trade Danny Granger to the Philadelphia 76ers for Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen.

Indiana continues to make amazing trades this season.. I would take a young ET and Allen over granger any day.. Turner is gonna be sick coming off the bench.

Indy > Miami this year in the Eastern conference finals. I don't think Lebron has enough help around him to 3 peat.

Yeah, Granger just hasn't been able to come anywhere near how he used to play and what I was hoping from him off the bench. Was patiently waiting for him to knock the rust off but i guess he just isnt good anymore. I know shimazu doesnt like Turner but you cant deny he's at least a worthy bench player and an upgrade over Danny Granger. Don't know much about Lavoy Allen though.

"Sixers traded Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen to the Pacers in exchange for Danny Granger.
Turner was miscast as go-to guy in Philly after they took him second overall in the 2010 draft. He failed miserably, failing to ever develop a reliable jumper on his way to a 42.8 field-goal percentage mark. But with the Pacers, he'll step in as an upgrade on Granger because he can guard athletic wings like LeBron James and Dwyane Wade -- players Indy needs to slow down to get to the Finals. Of course, Turner will now be playing a bench role on a very good team that will not ask him to score at all. His fantasy value is absolutely crushed."

im happy on both fronts

ET is gone, and you guys think he's going to put the Pacers over the top

fucking lol

danny granger must have an expiring contract? id look it up but im at work

76ers are going to be a problem starting 2 years from now

OKC got better by default

the Pacers think theyre getting better by signing all the 76ers rejects (BYEnum, Turner) and a guy who sets picks for a living

I dont see it

Bynum and Turner were both expected to be the sixers star players. On the pacers, they'll be great bench players. At least Turner will. Bynum has to surpass Ian Mahinmi first. If he can that's great. If not, then no big deal.
