2013-2014 NBA Thread v. AI is officially retired

I love how the Clips took over LA from the Lakers. for SOOOO MANY YEARS LA was ALWAYS LAKERS! now the Clips are drawing a larger crowd; I love it. I cant wait for Chris Paul to get back; I love the dude. Great PG and can make thinks happen.

clips are a FUN team to watch; Griffin is part of LOB CITY, baby! too bad CP3 is out but back-up stepped up BIG TIME and is doing great! still one of the best in the West Coast but I honestly DONT think they have what it takes to make it happen, ya know!?!?

lol.

Clippers have a 0% chance of winning the finals

Anyone that watches basketball would tell you that. They'll be lucky to get out of the first round... and I would be shocked if they made through the 2nd round... I would give them a 15% chance to make the western conference finals.

Clips are a 50 win regular season team, but when the playoffs come around they don't stand a chance beating a lot of those teams in the western conference 4 times. No chance.

I like the clips, but definitely not a championship team.

Westbrook is going to come back and the Thunder will win the NBA championship as a 3 seed.

I sense this

crazy how good the Pacers are this year; they are so evenly spread; they just make a great time. If Paul George was on another team you could probably expect around 30PPG's. but thats what makes them as good as they are; they are VERY, VERY open w/ one another and help/pass when needed; plus there defense is great.

let's face it; the East Coast only has 2 teams, and we both know it will be a repeat of last years Eastern Conference Finals.

Dude mike, the pacers are TOO BIG to compete for a championship. The NBA is about fast breaks and assists. Hibbert is a liability, he gets absolutely gassed by the 3rd quarter. If a team can spread the floor, make it a track meet, its all over for Indy.

Is anyone else surprised at how well Phoenix is doing this year? They made some really odd moves last year aroun TE draft and now they are banging in the west which is no small feat. There guard play is looking great this year. If they can pick up a nice swing PF/C they will be set to make a deep playoff run. Id suggest trading Morris, a 2nd round draft pack and really try to move up in the 2014 draft after locking up Holiday and Dragic.

overrated in the NBA imo

overrated? they have the best record, lol. how are they overrated? dude, they play ball. the way ball is supposed to be played; as a team. and w/ paul george now starting to lead, thats even better. dude is only 23. hes no Lebron at 23 but damn good.

because Paul George isnt Lebron or KD for that matter, you said it yourself

you can pass the ball seventy times and it wont change that

it's gonna be hilarious when pacers win the championhip this year. you just cant stand them cuz of all their new bandwagoners it seems. well you hated them last year too i think so idk but this year nobody could possibly think pacers arent the favorite to win it all. Don't fool yourself. Paul George doesn't have to be on lebron or durant's level, because unlike both of their teams (especially heat), pacers are stacked at every position.

that's why the pacers are so good though. They make everyone play their game which is slow paced, possession by possession. They've been playing this style for a couple years now and it's being perfected this year, which has translated into the record they have. I'll admit i had some doubt about last season winning it all, but this year there really is not a doubt in my mind. No team is capable of winning a 7 game series vs pacers.

You are forgetting that LBJ is still the best player alive, and he has gotten better since last year. He will controll the pace of the Eastern Conference Championship, they have better guard play and bosh is nearly as tall as Roy thus lending him the opportunity to shoot over him. The Pacers are simply too slow and have absolutely no championship experience. Lance Stephenson isn't going to out shoot Ray Allen.

The Pacers may look good now, bu you've gotta remember that the heat have absolutely no incentive to play hard in the regular season. You are getting far too wrapped up in your love for Indiana. Have you considered that they will most likely be the 1 or 2 seed and have to play a 2 7 game series' with teams that could possible be under the radar?

yeah it will be hilarious when I quote that post in May and you blame it on the refs

then i'd just counter it with a quote of one of your warriors posts

nah i know how great lebron james is. I just am not impressed with the rest of their team. George Hill and Lance Stephenson over chalmers and allen any day of the week. allen might out shoot stephensen but lance will outplay him. Bosh has always struggled against roy hibbert. last years eastern conference finals the guy was plain awful. you gotta remember about last years series. pacers taking it to game 7 without granger, scola, cj watson is a major upgrade of dj augustin, stephenson was just starting for the first time, pretty much the entire team was inexperienced. the pacers are far more improved than the heat and you gotta be scared of that. not to mention game 7 this year is looking like it'll be @ indiana. *goosebumps*
