2013-2014 NBA Thread v. AI is officially retired

Pacers got bigger, that's about it. Scola is a perennial looser, and Stephenson is far too cocky to his own good. Bosh has a great elbow jumper, the Heat will play him at the 4 with Anderson, or possibly Bynum at 5. Greg Odom is good for 6 fouls to frustrate Hibbert, which is pretty easy.
Wades knees are better than last year, Lebron has a better FG and FT% and as always is the best assist man in he game. Charmers is a top 10 guard if you pay attention, the Pacers will take it to 6 but they just can't hang with Miami. Also Coach Spo is a superior coach and is the successor to Pat Riley. Indy has a false sense of confidence that will be be broken.

no you wont because the warriors are going to lose to the Thunder in the conf finals and even if your pacers make it to the champ KD will shit on your dreams this year instead of Lebron

Is there a reason Michael Beasley has been demoted to under ten minutes a game?

Spoelstra is a hack. How else do you explain Udonis Haslem being the first big off the bench. Haslem has a +/- of like -300 for the season, but Spo remains in love with him.

I think maybe Beasley made off with Spo's girl, and this is Spo's revenge.

And could you blame him:

dude, that whole thing that happened w/ the prez and his wife was hilarious. same goes for what Bosh did while there.

think of that.. its the PREZ of the US and his wife playing GAMES like this. kinda funny. dude, I dont expect the guy to have to worry about the world every minute of the day, so no worries, this is hilarious.

Yeah in case you weren't watching last night the Pacers got spanked by Phoenix pretty bad. 124-100.

Phoenix outscored Indiana all four quarters, and putting up 124 pts on a team that only allows 89 pts on average? That is pretty good. I've been saying now that the Suns are a legit team that I think have a shot going far in the playoffs depending on what seed they end up with at the end of the season. I like the style they play.. a lot of young guys with good size that can run the floor all game. Stephenson and Hill looked so gassed last night and I've never seen them like that before. They just couldn't keep up with Dragic and Green. I see this team benig really good in the next few years.. Mile Plumlee also only 25 years old and he looks like he'll be a quality center in the NBA for awhile

Check out this dunk:

eh, I just had to watch a full season last year with Gerald Green. He's good for a few insane dunks throughout the season but the guy is just a terrible basketball player. and Miles Plumlee was a 3rd stringer on the pacers last year as well. Barbosa is even on their bench.

now watch what happens vs suns next thursday

I don't play into too much that happens during the regular season because there will be games like this that could happen to any team. Every team has had bad games against teams they should beat, the thing that matters the most is who allows it to happen the least throughout the season? The Pacers and their #1 record in the NBA.

Heat have the best half-season record in their history and everyone in the national media is acting as if they've declined.

Lebron is playing the fewest minutes per game of his career and the media's steadily saying he's overworked.

damn I wanted to see Eric Bledsoe match up against MCW tonight. Probably not even gonna watch the Suns game now. not to mention Tony Wroten isnt playing so idk how I can go from watching KD to whatever you want to call this game.

probably will be a buzzer beater, still dgaf

I get that the Heat have won the championship two years in a row, and one of those times they crushed the Thunder in the finals, but I honestly don't see the Western Conference losing out to the East this time around...I mean, shit, the gap between the level of play in the two conferences is fucking laughable. The 3 seed in the East has only recently been hovering around .500 while in the West, my fucking Rockets are at a 5 seed with .638...what...with all the competition in the West this season, I just don't see the East clinching that title again...Indiana's impressive, yeah, but they've been playing second fiddle for just a little too long for me. And Miami has its rings, but Wade's knees are basically blown by this point in his career...but anyway, whatever happens, my best is that the best games of the year will be in the Western Conference playoffs...that shit's going to be fierce.

Did Miami forget how to play ball overnight? I mean, the Durantula is balling like no ones business but this is not even a game anymore. I dont understand how this is happening.

Someone help, give me a coaches breakdown of the film an tell me where Miami didn't fail.

First of all I watched the whole game and let me just say I'm extremely happy cause I had OKC +4 pt handicap last night and when they went down by 18 early in the first half I pretty much thought the game was over.. Unbelievable how OKC came back and won by such a large amount.

But anyways here is my opinion on why the Heat lost, and why Miami fans shouldn't be that worried. Here are some stats from last night I want to show you:

Bench Points:
OKC - 39
MIA - 21

3 Pt Shots:
OKC - 16/27 ... 59.3%
MIA - 3/19 ... 15.8%

Steals:
OKC - 13
MIA - 4

Turnovers:
OKC - 12
MIA - 20

Jeremy Lamb 7/10 FG ... 4/6 3pt
Derek Fisher 5/7 FG ... 5/5 3pt

Basically what I think happened is Miami played one of the worst games they possibly could have... It's pretty hard to win a game against any NBA team when you have 20+ turnovers throughout the entire game. Also I just don't see Lamb and Fisher having incredible games off the bench like they did last night, especially when the playoffs come around. I don't know I just wouldn't be that worried about last nights loss if I was a Miami fan.

Umm... Phoenix Suns with +12.5 pt handicap against the Pacers at home?? That seems waaaay to high considering they spanked Indiana the last time they played each other. I don't know I honestly think Indy will win this game... But by more than thirteen points? No way.. I'm pounding Phoenix tonight with my $. This honestly seems like one of the safest bets I've taken in awhile.

Also why isn't this game on National TV? They're gonna put the Cavs/Knicks and the Clips/Warriors games on TNT and not this great rematch? Give me a fucking break... everyone would rather watch Phoenix@Indiana. Oh well I'll be streaming it anyways.

Final score prediction:

Indy: 103
Phx: 98
