2013/2014 NCAA College Basketball Thread--The Road to the Dallas Cowboys Stadium.

yeah the Buffaloes are a real tough squad this year, just handed Oregon their first loss on Sunday

I think Minnesota goes further in the tournament than they did last year (sweet sixteen appearance basically)

I watched the Kentucky / Louisville game but forgot to comment on it. I like Kentucky on offense, but they have a lot of work to do on defense, Randall especially. He is ready for the NBA on offense right now without a doubt, but he can't even create a presence at the college level defensively. And Im talking like he doesn't even really attempt to contest shots very often. I understand he doesn't want to pick up any more fouls than he has to but at what cost? The other team's knowledge that they can drive right at him without having to adjust their shot much if at all? Because that's how you get beat by inferior teams, when they know you aren't able to play your full game due to one reason or another and therefore gain confidence in their own games even more so. I'm not saying he has to be the main defensive presence, Cauley-Stein is much more suited to that role, but he has to at least make the other team respect him on that end of the floor, or I see them getting upset in the first two rounds. There was one play where Russ Smith drove right down the lane at Randall and just threw it down in his face and you could tell from the second Smith left the floor that Randall wanted no business meeting him halfway. At best, he's Zach Randolph. At worst, he's Glen Davis. Either way, he'll be a productive pro.

I cannot disagree with you. He better figure it out during conference play or they will get upset in the 2nd round. Maybe the 1st if they dont get seeded higher than 4 or 5.

can't wait for this tOSU VS Mich State game

can't believe that it's the first time these two epic college basketyhoops teams have met when they're both Top 5 ranked? (tOSU is #2 and MSU is #5)

I can believe that tOSU might lose its first game of the season, most especially cuz it is in Sparty Land. however, Buckeyes got Aaron "Rosy Cheeks" Craft soyaneverknow dough

UNC is now 0-2 in the ACC. I know the teams they've beaten, but you have to be consistent or its all for nothing. How do you lose to this years Miami team at home?

i'm just not excited about gophball this year, unless they force me to

i will pound my chest when 'dre hollins turns pro and tweets how tired he is damian lilliard calling him for advice

i'm rooting for colorado to win it all, gophers making it back to dance would be cute though, get dirty baby dick
why CU? because i watched them lose in first round last year and what i saw was some of the most athletic ballers join together for an NCAA event

Colorado winning the national championship? now thats a bold prediction

I generally take underdogs on bluelight so im going pretty bold with this one and will probably change my decision when the brackets come out but VILLANOVA going to the FINAL FOUR

now watch Villanova and Oregon wind up in the same region and shut me down right quick

Michigan St is going to be very hard for anyone to beat

Arizona is overrated.. early exit in the tourney imo. 2nd or 3rd round

Wichita St is still legit

Michigan is definitely gonna make a run in the tourney

Louisville will be back in the elite 8 at least

Kansas doesn't make it past the 2nd round

UNC will make the tournament so long as they finish above .500 in conf play imo. They aren't as good as I initially thought, and PJ Hairston being dismissed was a huge blow. Still have the potential to play with anyone, but I would be leery about them come march especially if they matchup with a mid-major school in the first round.

Good to see Pitt and Cincinatti off to good starts. The remnants of the old Big East are now just running train on the other conferences which is cool to see. Pitt plays Syracuse next Saturday and I wouldnt be surprised if they won that game. Cinci could win 25+ games this year if they can split with Louisville and dont have too many let downs against the rest of the American Conference. Its really a 3 team conference this year, I like Memphis in the regular season they just usually go home early in the tournament after Coach Cal left. Shaq Goodwin reminds me somewhat of Kenneth Faried and I think he could be a decent pro coming off the bench for a good team in the NBA

As far as the actual Big East goes, definitely a drop in talent but seems to be full of 8 or 9 seeds with Villanova being the only team Id say is a lock for the tournament. Marquette has time to turn things around but if they dont beat Nova at least once and dont win the conference tourney, theyll probably be on the outside looking in on Selection Sunday. Xavier always tears shit up in the tourny too, and I really dont know anything about their team this year but they did beat Cinci in their rivalry game.

btw China Rider good call about Iowa being good this year, youre all about those Midwest programs lol

fuckity fuck fuck, it sucks losing to Iowa. the Big Ten is so god damn stacked, like the SEC in football, your team could lose to any other team any given day n nite

except its really not like the SEC in football

Pac-12 is the best conference this year, followed by the ACC

but that's just like, my opinion man

I don't get why Duke was so pleased with themselves after that game. They barely escaped...and they were at home.

UK boys playing not very good bball. I know Bud Walton is a tough place to play but getting production from primarily 2 starters will not win you many games. I smell a low seed and early exit for them at the NCAAs.

Yeah I watched the whole game and I couldn't believe how bad these guys played. I mean yeah they have great players but the whole Kentucky team NEVER passes the ball.

I don't know how they expect to beat good teams driving the ball into the paint and throwing up a contested shot every single time

11 assists for Kentucky throughout the whole game

I agree we can't continue to rely so much on Randle. He's good, but he's either on fire or absolutely worthless. I thought he did well last night, but I think the rest of the team kind of goes to sleep when that happens. Besides a couple of blocks, Cauley Stein was horrible. Bad attitude too, he had a pouty look on his face every time it showed him on the bench. The twins were making sloppy passes and were responsible for most of the turnovers I'm pretty sure. They remind me too much of Goodwin from last year, too loose with the ball and rarely manages to execute anything. There was that one shot at the end of regulation that got us into OT...but honestly... Young and second half Randle were the only ones that seemed present at all. If we bounce back from this we'll be fine. I'm not counting us out yet. All our losses have been close and our next three are at Rupp.

Hey Arci, Mitch Mcgary is officially celebrate these days. Michigan is irrelevant. It's all about PAC-12 and Syracuse.

My it feels awesome seeing MU blow through all of our oppenents in every sport this year. 'Bama got their ass whooped by us yesterday.

Hell even our women's volleyball team was top 5 all season.

Thanks for your expert opinion

Michigan doesn't need McGary.. they are fucking stacked. Stauskas, Robinson, and Levert are all going to the NBA for sure. Michigan has to be the most underrated team right now. Just wait until the tourney starts and you'll see again.
