EADD is looking for mods!

It's the fact that everybody wanted her to come back in time. We waited and waited, for far more time than any other member would be allowed. So if she turned up this second and pleaded...Well If anybody were to achieve that feat, it would be her.

Ahh ok, that makes sense. I assumed Effie was aware of this, not that she'd just been MIA for too long.

Nowt wrong with having five mods in EADD.
 
If we recruited a mod before she came back I don't think it would be fair to then sack the new mod! I doubt that would happen. I wouldn't be for it anyway. I think the suggestion is if she came back tomorrow we could cancel this. But I doubt she'll be back tomorrow.

Also we were actually running with five mods previously, so in theory we could have her back and the new mod.
 
Fuck's sake - I typed out a massive quote-response chain and accidentally closed my browser.

In a fucking [not very] small nutshell - It's a great thing to be a part of is to become a mod. Yes you get some perks etc. and you get to talk to other mods who end up being lovely people (mostly ;) hehe ) and you end up having the power to change other members' lives. Even if it's just a little bit.
But - as with Yin & Yang - there's always going to be aspects that are not as wonderful. You could fall out with the other staff, if you're not a proverbial solid emotional wall then things like members whinging about how you've acted to something or when the mod-team has a bit of a spat then it can really, really get to you.

When / if you're emotionally unstable then you end up feeling like things you've done end up making you feel that you're in the wrong, or that you've not "got what it takes" anymore etc. etc. But you just need to try do your best to shrug it off and find solace in your fellow mods and admin :)

By all means - and with massive enthusiasm - apply and let the other staff know that you've got what it takes and become a really great addition to a really great "Mother or Father to the EADD family". But if you don't feel as stable as you would like, then I would suggest that you consider it longer. I'm not saying don't apply ofcourse! I just want those who are going for it to take a bit more time to assess yourself and your own health, because sometimes you NEED to be "selfish" :)~<3

Brimzizzle - You'd be a fantastic mod! But I understand if you've hesitation / wish to not apply.
Shambles has been a mod a few times and in different areas if I remember korektlih. He's a brilliant man for the job, but I've a feeling that he knows what comes with the "job" and how he feels about it right now.

Those who I've not known for long, there's some brilliant candidates out there :) So apply!

And I sort of like the idea of - atleast the mod's more favoured candidates - having an element of other EADD member's views.
Obviously it would not be the "absolute be all and end all" of the decision, but it would be another really useful P.O.V for the mods to add to the rest of the criteria that are being asked of for applications.

Anyhooooo - That wasn't very in-a-nutshell-ish but yeah, that's as much as I can remember that I typed.

Not really interested tbh, although I am interested in who gets the role because I like this place, so i'd like it to be the 'right' person, whoever it may be.
 
If Marmz applies we'd have to seriously consider her. But she would cause a fucking riot behind the scenes =D So all the more reason to apply, Marmalade!
 
Lol, I would not cause a riot (not with the current crew anyhow; maybe with the last lot). I'm a simple solutions type of gal and a truly resourceful motherfucker. So thar!
