I honestly don't understand you Myshkin :? I bet you love to stick to agendas in meetings too. In my experience, that ensures that the things that people want to talk about don't get discussed!

Ha lol! Reminds me of that bit in The Office where Gareth is chairing a meeting and won't let Tim talk until it was time for AOB. Seen it?

I'm with knock on this one, I'm not sure what's wrong with organic conversation that occurs in this way, and apparently mm thinks similar since he's been joining in too.

It does no harm. People airing their views in this way is good for the soul and unless the key parties wish to knock it on the head, what's the problem? Its all mainly been related to modding too.

I quite like Topics, it's a close-run thing with Double Deckers. But yeah, don't mind if I do :)

EDIT: Off-topic discussion (most of it) moved to it's own thread.

Perspective? Its already there whether in agreement or disagreement. Its just opinions. Actively taking time to register a counter argument to people who are happy to just meander in conversation demonstrates a need to find some perspective imo

The only legitimate action I can take when there has been tangential discussion is to split the thread into two, which I've just done. It's too much fucking work. That's why it's easier just leaving things as they are.

It's an internet drug forum but eadd is as much a social forum...

Some threads IMO should stay on topic, specifically the HR threads, the drug info threads etc, but others naturally veer into other areas...

Like conversations.

That's why it's a good place.

IMO ;)

There are conversations and there are silly squabbles that embarrass the participants. Whatever the nature of the thread, staff shouldn't be publicly bitching at each other. I'm really surprised it's been encouraged.

That's about all I've got to say on this matter, so if anybody has a response - DON'T BOTHER POSTING IT, yeah?

PM me. I may take my time to respond.

What did you fucking expect? Don't bother responding? Dickish.

Glad to see you've opened up just a little.

If anyone, staff or otherwise, comes to EADD and publicly posts ridiculous shite I think it's reasonable for them to be publicly challenged.

The whole 'don't diss staff publicly' thing is frankly ridiculous particularly if its a diff forum mod and they're being a douche.

Never done collective responsibility never will. Worse aspect of politics ever. It promotes lies
