The Alcohol thread...

I'd really like to try GHB/GBL, never had the opportunity.. If it does something to GABA receptors I reckon I'd find it alright.

Alcohol may cause a lot of problems, but stop bullying it. It's a very close friend of mine. ;)

Imagine the first time you got drunk euphoria combined with your first high dose of MDMA euphoria. It is seriously the best drug in the world.

Yeah I suppose it is similar in the way that alcohol and benzos are similar, not really at all but the closest thing I can think of.

drinkin beer every day, done it for a few weeks now, it's weird how quick tolerance builds, I am drinkin my number 14 beer now and im not even close to getting drunk, but worst is I got trouble sleeping after I started drinkin so heavy. But god I love my beer anyway.

^ Weird, I have been a daily alcohol drinker for years and I have found my tolerance stays pretty similar, if I go on a hardcore bender it might go up for a while if I maintain particularly high alcohol consumption but it doesn't take very long of more moderate daily drinking for my tolerance to balance out. I think alcohol can be a funny drug in that you can be FUCKED and not realise it (pretty much all drugs that work on GABA can do this) and it seems more likely you are drunk on beer 14, I certainly have a hard time imagining just a few weeks of daily drinking could boost your tolerance to needing 20 odd standard drinks to get drunk unless it was already pretty up there.

I started with a sixpack pr day the first week, after that I did go up to 2 six pack pr day, these last days Im drinkin 12-till run out of the amount of beers I have.

Haha I really don't feel drunk, but maybe I should ask a friend to say if I look drunk ;)

^ You must have a momentous beer gut.

Also drinking that much you're running a pretty high risk of diabetes (alcohol seriously messes with insulin).

Well would that not take years of daily heavy drinkin to get that??

But anyone know why Im getting trouble sleeping because of my daily drinkin? Can't really understand it and it's pretty annoying.

^^ Oh sorry I missed your post before that, yeah it's only if you do it for years on end.

That's very strange about you having trouble sleeping though. Personally I sleep incredibly well after a few beers.

Maybe check this out: http://pubs.niaaa.nih.gov/publications/arh25-2/101-109.htm

"... studies found that in nonalcoholics who occasionally use alcohol, both high and low doses of alcohol initially improve sleep, although high alcohol doses can result in sleep disturbances during the second half of the nocturnal sleep period. Furthermore, people can rapidly develop tolerance to the sedative effects of alcohol. Researchers have investigated the interactive effects of alcohol with other determinants of daytime sleepiness...."

I drank vodka for the first time in a long time and over did it and was sick all saturday till sunday vomiting and feeling sorry for myself, it was really shitty.

With regards to vodka does anyone feel theres no middle ground drunk? sort of like you feel like you havnt had enough until youre well and truly pissed. Still one of my favourite drugs.
