Cool! :) Exactly how terrified were you most of the way? No dramas that might make for a few good scenes for a road movie that you could sell to Hollywood for millions and retire comfortably on into a life of leisurely pursuits on a big ranch with swimming pools and jacuzzis and loads of horses on and stuff, anything like that?

when we were about 35 miles from our destination my bf (he was in front) hit a deer... while terrifying its not uncommon around here... he was able to limp his jeepy here though and now he has to rebuild one of his lights and his bumper and whatnot

also i have never seen a deer actually explode before i didnt know that could happen when a car hit them...

i pretty much stopped at every single rest stop along the way but it wasnt too bad when i just knew ahead time i would have to pee really often

oh and i ran over a median and snapped a sway bar link thingy on my jeep and my bf had to fix it in louisiana

all in all though we survived!!!
 
Exploding deer? Ew, nasty. I dread to think what an exploded deer all over your windscreen might look like. I generally find it's better to just wing the buggers leaving them to limp off into the grass, especially the big ones. A mass of hooves and antlers flying in at you through your windscreen, blows raining down on your head ain't an ideal situation. Tell the BF to fucking swerve next time. Def the way forward!

The rest stops thing. Nice if you can hold out till the next one but it's gonna be a right pain in the arse dragging yourself in and out of the car when you're as big as a house and the wee nipper within is playing football with your bladder wanting out so s/he can stretch out a bit. Get yaself one of these so if you're ever stuck in a traffic jam miles away from a service station with too many prying eyes to make waddling out into the long grass an option you can piss away to your hearts content without even leaving the car. I'd generally advise a large coke bottle or something to catch it in, don't be peeing all over the floor or anything will you, pretty sure you BF would find that a little distasteful. Unless he's into that kind of thing, obviously, but then you've got carpet cleaning bills and the potential of rusting floors and what have you so I'd save that for a more appropriate venue.

^ he did swerve as much as he safely could which is why he didnt total his car! and its so crazy there isnt a spot of blood on either of our cars.... i kinda thought mine got sprayed... i guess btw the cold and the speed of the cars we didnt get covered in guts... but the dogs could still tell .... all three went and sniffed the spot where the deer hit as soon as we pulled in the driveway
 
Still haven't used, haven't swan dived off of anything, so shit could be worse but I'm still having a rough one. It really sucks opening up to a loved one, being honest and forthcoming about your problems, and having them minimized and being told you just need to try harder, and do better. :(

If it were that fucking simple my issues wouldn't really be issues, cause God knows I'm giving it my all right now.
