If you read enough psychics books then you would see that there is plenty of evidence and experiments that point towards the multiverse being a "fact"
I can go with that. I don't know hardly enough to try and convince people, all I know is what I've read.

I'm not a multiverse-denier.
I also seen sites where plenty of folk from all around the world believe we are being ruled by lizard like creatures.
I even saw one photo where the queen was meeting Lady GaGa and these people pointed out all these things in the photo which apparently demonstrated how the Queen was the Devil and Lady Ga Ga was one of her minions spreading Lucifers word around the world.
There is a hell of a lot of weird theorists out there.
Life was so much simpler when we just had Button Moon.

According to these guys there are multiple big bangs all the time, each time two universes collide. I've not read too much about this theory yet, but it's interesting.
Definitely going to start reading this book that I've been putting off for a while

Hey all, guess this is an open thread so may I pipe in...
In science a "theory" is generally regarded to be as close to fact as is reasonably possible. A theory will be fully testable and can be used to make predictions regarding the outcome of an event in a controlled situation. In science terms, theory means more than the everyday use, such as "My theory why the bus is always late is because...", in science that would be considered a hypothesis. Established theories such as Einstein's theory of relativity or Darwin's theory of evolution via natural selection have been shown to be true through repeated testing.
However, so-called theories such as multiverse or its relations M-theory and string theory are inherantly untestable. There is quite simply no way to prove or disprove the existence of a multiverse. All we can really do is hypothesise its existance and ways in which it may or may not exist. Since the concept of there being anything existing outside of the limits of time and space itself is somewhat contradictory it is not a simple thing to consider. M-theory hypothesises the existance of independant universe but its purely speculative.
Anyway, what i'm getting at is a multiverse theory is not really a theory in the true sense of the word, rather more of a speculative suggestion of something that may or may not be possible but is inherantly unproveable due to its nature and the fact that we are completely restrained to the limits of the one singular universe that we know exists.
As far as "believing" in something that cannot be definitively proven to be true or untrue, well that is more within the realm of religion than science.

The flaw in parallel universes theory is it lacks a straightforward answer on how to find the universe where there is a copy of yourself ruling the planet with the entire human race enslaved for your own pleasure, who you could kill and takeover his job.

That's not science though, the theories that I'm talking about are published in scientific papers, not on forums about reptilians and the Queen being the devil.

You got me stumped, for now, although I'm sure there will be ways to somehow prove it in the future, like maybe drawing energy from alternate universes to power our own. Could end up destroying them all.
I guess I just have faith in the multiverse theory, as much faith as people have in their own religions.

Scientists can't even agree on whether global warming actually exists or not.
I chose to believe in what I can see and what has already been proven as scientific fact.
I don't know what I believe about global warming but I have read that the earth goes through stages temperature wise over the years.
I just read the other week that there has been no increase in global temperature over the last 16 year period.
