Taxi To The Dark Side - 2008. Won oscar that year for best documentary.

Superb and far reaching examination of America's use of torture in its never ending search for tairwrists since the beginning of its War on Terror.

Its title refers to an Afghan taxi driver taken prisoner by American forces in 2001 who died in their custody. An amazing documentary but not for the faint hearted.

Hmmm, I guess I can take heart in the fact that every music magazine and professional music reviewer agrees with me... I think he is genuinely inventive and will refine his sound in due course. You'll probably catch up then ;)

Most credible artists don't give a fuk about magazine;s n other corporate Bullshit.

I seriously doubt in 5 years time anyone will even remember the Bloke .

I'm 100% with Brimz on this one. We may not agree on everything but the man knows his hip hop (& I like to think I do as well). Danny Brown is pish & he'll be gone in 2 years.

Yeah, those idiots were touting some shit called "Eminem" whoever that turned out to be!? For some reason you can take solice in the fact that one internet user agrees with you, but it's unimportant that hundreds of people who listen to music for a living agree with me?

I'm not holding it up as proof that I'm right by the way, I'm holding it up as proof that you are set in your ways and can't get your head around any progression in the arts. It is called a concept album... What you're doing is the equivalent of saying everything on the runway at fashion shows is a load of shit, because you don't realise other artists will just steal little bits of it. Just because you and brimz can't get your heads round it doesn't make you right you know. It's opinion and there isn't really any right or wrong about it, and you've already proven that you can't handle the latest progression in electronic music, why would rap be any different? I have an image in my head of you hearing new music and banging your head wih your fist whilst shouting "this isn't what I listened to yesterday switch it off" haha.

Concept album's aren't exactly "progression in the arts"... they've been around since at least the early 70s, probably earlier. EDIT yeah 1940 apparently.

I have no idea why crackhead and brimz don't like Danny Brown though. Sounded OK to me. But I know fuck all about hip hop. What's the actual criticism? pish, trash and shite don't exactly cut it when it comes to informed critique ;)

You misunderstand me, I meant that concept albums purpose is to progress the arts - not that they are something new. I think we can just accept that Brimz and PTCH would have been part of the crowd who liked Elvis who called the Beatles/The who/ Frank Zappa etc. shit.

I forwarded the review of 2 internet users saying it's shit onto Rolling Stone and they said they're never going to feature him again, so apparently it does cut it=D

The thing that I liked about this documentary is the way it sort of gets you on the side of the railway squatters, and you start to accept that life down there and think it's alright. Then they go above ground and it's amazing and life get's much much better.

That was a decade ago (probably more). I'm talking more recently. Anyone loved by the press (& the charts ie teenage birds buying the singles) has been shite. I can't think of any specific examples off the top of my head as I didn't pay too much attention to the pish. In fact, Drake - He's being touted as being amazing apparently. He's utter garbage.

Re the set in my ways thing. Not at all. I'm all for something new sounding, as long as that thing sounds good. You seem to be doing the opposite of what you're accusing me of, just liking this pish because it's "different".
